Lone star carpet

I decided to have my upstairs media room converted into an exercise room to utilile the space more efficiently. I requested quotes from 3 vendors from Angie's List. Decided to go with Tony Rodriguez and Lone Star Carpet. This was due to his quality reviews on this site, pricing was the best out of the contractors and Tony's personal touch. Tony's style is very assuring. He met with me personally, gave me some recommendations and was very well prepared. You just know he is going to do what he says and in a quality manner. The installation went well. The work team showed up on time. They pulled the carpet and put into storage bags for me. The install required leveling the wood floor, putting down an adhesive agent, cutting the rubber floor, laying the floor and adding trim. This was done in about 4 hours. The only complaint I could have were some small marks on the walls where the rubber flooring was most likely rubbed against it during the install, but not even enough to worry about. Besides, I am using the space for an exercise room and this wont be the last of the wall mark. Tony came back and reviewed the work and walked through with me. He also followed up by email a week later. Great experience.

This job had a bit of a "hiccup" because the first carpet we selected had manufacturing flaws in it. Tony was very responsive and helped us get the manufacturer to acknowledge the problem and replace the carpet. I could not have wanted any better treatment from Tony. The installation team was very prompt, courteous, and professional.

Lone Star is one of those local business gems that everyone should know about! We had a small job that we wanted done quickly for the holidays. Even though ours was a less than 600$ job, we were treated as if it was a 6000$ job. Installer showed up 1/2 hour early with all of the correct materials and never took a break. As he installed, he checked with me every time there was a decision to be made. He exuded confidence throughout the day and assured me the floor would be beautiful before he left. It was! Even my bulldog liked him, and she doesn't like anyone. Even though I told the installer I was very happy when he left, the contractor, Tony Rodriguez, followed up quickly with a phone call to make sure everything went as planned. Great company, great work, great service. Can't wait to give these local folks some more of my business!

Lone Star personnel were friendly and very helpful; Tony wasn't in the showroom but checked in with us by telephone within an hour. We had taken a couple of samples home; he offered to visit that day but we had him call on us the following afternoon. Very knowledgeable, friendly and professional. He had us select a preferred carpet and a second choice in case the supplier didn't have the first one on hand. Provided us the estimate a few minutes after inspecting the locale. Carpeting was delivered by supplier within about three days and then installed shortly afterward on the day we requested. Very professional looking job (particularly in comparison to the previous owner's carpeting -- Lone Star was careful to install snugly up to and around the 'bull-nose' stairs, giving it a fine, finished appearance). Two installers worked quickly and carefully. We didn't make price comparisons. We were looking for reliability and prompt professional service, and we certainly got those. Very pleased with the process and the work done.

Tony was very patient with me. I took a long time deciding on tile! Everything went well and the final product looks beautiful!

Tony was just great. When I first contacted Tony, we were planning to do a smaller amount of carpet and no tile work, but Tony gladly came to our home again to provide another estimate. On his first visit, I told Tony we wanted to match one other room's carpet just installed last year. He actually had the manufacturer send me a sample to be sure it was exactly what we wanted. When the sample came, we realized it was a little lighter than we really wanted and he came out with additional samples to look at. Within one week of ordering the carpet and tile, the entire job was complete. The tile is absolutely gorgeous--really some of the prettiest tile I have ever seen and the carpet is wonderful too. I had originally contacted another carpet company and got an estimate, but I went with Tony because his prices were better and he provided faster service--the two things I cared about most. In addition, the crews that came out were very hard working and did excellent jobs. This is one company that really believes in customer satisfaction!

Excellent. Tony was patient and helpful in helping me pick out tile. His suggestions were great and the job was well done. I was impressed by the professionalism of Lone Star Carpet and would definately recommend them to friends.

After measuring and listening to our requirements, Tony came by our house several times to see if we had any questions and to drop by other samples. He was a perfect example of what customer service should be! We finally made our decision and had the carpet installed. He stopped by during the installation and followed up with us after the carpet was installed. We are very happy with our carpet and very, very happy with Lone Star's customer service. I would not hesitate to use them again!!

We called Tony and advised him that we were interested in having laminate flooring installed in our living room. Tony responded that he would be out to our home as soon as possible to measure and give us an estimate for the flooring/installation. In the mean time Tony e-mailed us some web sites to give us an idea of the different types of laminate and he also brought out various samples for us to look at. Tony made a couple of trips to our house with samples and we finally choose the laminate color that would best match (Bronze Oak) our living room. The laminated had to be ordered and that took approximately a week. Tony, called us when the laminate arrived and a date/time was agreed upon for installation. Tony,s crew of three showed up right on agreed time and date and immediately started working on the installing the hand scraped laminate planks. This entailed moving the furniture, removing the carpet from the living room, hallway and also had to remove the tiles from the entry way. The crew were very professional and courteous during the entire process. The crew worked straight through until the flooring was completed on the same day. The crew cleaned up the entire area and removed the old carpet. Tony stayed in contact with us before, during and after the installation was completed. The entire project came out excellent and I would highly recommend Tony (Lone Star Carpet) to anyone considering replacing their carpet with laminate planks. Tony even stopped by a week later to inspect the work and to address any questions or concerns we might have. We couldn't be any happier with the entire project!

I had a rush job to get a bedroom and closet carpeted before I had to travel. Handled most of the work over the phone on the estimate. Had picked a few samples from Home Depot, but went in to see what they carried. Much better quality at about the same price. They worked to get the carpet delivered and installed within a few days (even though it was not in stock). Installers did an excellent job - very fast, professional and cleaned up after themselves. Really satisfied with the carpet quality and install quality. Didn't not get gouged on the price for a rush job. Would definitely use them again.

I called Tony after reading good reviews on Angie's List. He promptly returned my call and told me he'd be by on Saturday or Monday. He called about 15 minutes before he got here on Monday, quickly estimated the job and got me the estimate early the next morning. I confirmed the job and his crew came on Friday a bit earlier than expected, and repaired the carpet in less than 20 minutes. He called about 20 minutes after they'd left to confirm everything was going well. Quoted price was exactly what was on the invoice (tax included) and the work was exactly what we were expecting. If we replace carpet in the rest of the house, I'll definitely be calling Tony again.

Done in a matter of hours, Tony and Lone Star Carpet were extremely professional, polite, and accommodating. From coming over on a Saturday to measure, to the estimate, to the installation. This installation required treating the sub floor prior to installation of new pad and carpet to seal in residual smell and protect sub floor from future damage. All done in a matter of a few hours, including moving furniture from room to room as required. Great experience!

Couldn't have asked for a better experience. Tony was professional and courteous. Everything looked great and was completed at the quoted price. Would definitely use them again if the need arises.

Look no further - this is your guy!I called no less than 3 companies before getting so frustrated with the quotes and lack of professionalism, that I bought a membership to Angie's list in desperation. And man am I glad I did that! Tony was a pro from the word GO! When I called and left a message, he texted me right back that he was at a job, but would call shortly - and he did!He came right out and listened to my needs and budget - and guess what? He was able to find the right product and the right install to hit my budget, when NO ONE else could - including Lowes, and other National Carpet companies.Tony was professional, courteous and prompt. He was able to schedule the work the very next day. His installers were as professional as he was. They did an amazing job!! We are VERY VERY pleased with the product and the service and what we paid. If you need flooring, carpeting, etc. trust me you NEED to call Tony Rodriguez - he is THE MAN!

this was a great experience all the way around! tony came out the day after i called him with samples to replace my living room and dining room carpets. we are putting our house on the market and wanted something nice, but not too pricey. tony showed me samples and i picked the first one he showed me. it's a little darker than our current cream colored carpet, with different tones in it so that you can't see every speck of dirt. i loved the carpet. his installers came a few days later ... very fast turn around. they arrived on time and got right to work. my pad was in good shape so it didn't need to be replaced. however, i had a stain in the bedroom that they fixed by patching it with the old carpet. you can't see the difference. it's a perfect match. the new carpet came out beautifully. tony showed up near the end of the job to check on things and make sure that i was happy. his rates were very good and tony is fun and easy to work with. i was impressed with the quick turn around time and the great job that these installers did. i can't say enough good things about lone star carpet. i will definitely be using them in the future.

Salesman provided helpful suggestions on type and color. He was very informative without patronizing. Installers were polite, efficient, and did an excellent job. They spliced together five separate remnants to finish one closet that was a "if you have enough left over". The extra closet is completely seamless and looks great. Can't tell the whole upstairs wasn't one giant piece of carpet cut to fit. Also comes with a one-year installation guarantee, which is nice because I often don't see anything wrong while the workmen are still there.

Excellent experience from beginning to end. After listening to what we wanted, William showed us various carpet samples. He later came to our home that same day to measure and provided a quote for us the next morning. When the carpet came in, William called us and we set up an installation date. Only 2 installers showed up (right on time), but they worked 7 hours straight with no breaks and did an outstanding job. Furniture was moved and put back in the right location. The installers even cut two pieces of carpeting to precisely fit under my treadmill (i.e., not a scrap just thrown under the machine)! Since the treadmill had previously just been placed on the carpet with no additional padding/protection underneath it, this extra attention went above and beyond our expectation and was a great idea. They also asked before they left if everything was exactly where we wanted it. William called the morning of the installation to make sure the installers were there and to ask if we had any concerns, then showed up that afternoon to check on the progress. We received another phone call the next morning to determine if we were completely satisfied with the carpet and the installation. We are very pleased with Lone Star Carpet and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

I went to their store and they were very nice about letting me take home a number of samples so I could have time to think about what I liked best. Tony Rodrigez the salesperson came out and measured my kitchen and gave me an estimate. I was pleased that they give a small discount for paying by check instead of credit card since I always pay by check anyway but usually don't get any break. The cost was so reasonable I would have had the job done long before if I had known. My house and my kitchen are small and lots of times vendors aren't really interested in these little jobs. Lone Star Carpets was definitely an exception. I didn't get the installer's name and was a little taken aback that it was only one guy. He was very pleasant but also remarkably able and efficient. He moved the appliances, removed the old floor, and installed the new floor in about an hour and forty minutes. Yes my kitchen is small, but I still don't know how anyone can even work that fast!!! The floor looks beautiful and it lines up perfectly. I am really really pleased with my new kitchen floor.

My husband and I did lots of research before making our decision (checking Angie's List, getting bids, checking on BBB rating, etc.) and finally decided on Lone Star Carpet. Their price wasn't the lowest (although it was very competitive), but we were so impressed with Tony Rodriguez that we decided to use him and his company. Tony was extremely accessible by phone, text, and email -- he always returned our calls right away; taking care of any issues very quickly. He is a pleasure to deal with: professional, friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable. The workers who installed the hardwood floors were excellent. They took great care with our furniture and other belongings and worked hard to minimize, then clean up, the mess from the installation. We felt very comfortable having them in our house since they were so careful and also very friendly and courteous. Tony was either in touch or on site throughout the entire process. The carpet installers, too, did a good job. There was a slight problem with a chipped bathroom tile (which butted up against the carpet) which was quickly remedied and is as good as new. We were very impressed with the workers as well as the products (carpet and hardwoods). I wasn't a fan of pre-finished floors, but the ones we chose turned out to look really great. Our new carpet is beautiful and we really, really love our hardwood floors. The difference they make in the looks of our house is remarkable!

Tony was very patient and easy to work with and very thorough. He was also pro-active and helpful. The installation was done quickly and professionally.

Their service was very good. Their customer service was wonderful. I had some special requests and they went out of their way to help me as their customer. I have recommended them to other people. I just like the way their operation runs. It appears to be a small organization and I don’t know that much about it. It appears to be a small group and I just think they really work hard to make things right for me. I will use them again in the future.

Tony stayed in contact with me before, during, and after the installation was complete. As a contractor myself, I know communication is key. I will be using Lone Star Carpets on all of my jobs(carpet,tile,wood,etc..), including my own home. It is my experience that Tony was more concerned with customer satisfaction than a dollar amount, very professional. Oh yeah and did i mention his crew had the whole house done in about 5-6 hours. I would recommend them to anybody. I was very pleased with their work. They are prompt, they'll come out when I call. They are reasonable. I will continue to use this provider again in the future.

This process was absolutely painless. Tony was fantastic. He answered the phone on my first call. He was extremely knowledgeable about the carpet we were interested in and was able to give us a lot of insight into the product and our options. He was able to meet with us within a couple of days to give us an estimate and in the meantime, was able to do the leg work of cross referencing a sample we had selected from another store and confirming he could get it for us. In addition, his distributor did not have a sample to show us when we met (to confirm it was in fact the same color), so he had them overnight us a sample from another warehouse. For the actual installation, the crew was great. They were in and out within 2 hours (including moving heavy furniture) and the job was done beautifully. Lastly, Tony stopped by after the job was done to inspect it and confirm all was done to our satisfaction. We couldn't have been happier with the whole process from beginning to end!
