Description of Work: 2 people arrived and did what I asked but were kind of bossy and in a hurry. I let them leave about 15 minutes prior to allotted time although I still had some things to accomplish but the woman would not give me time to make decisions. They took a couple of my brooms when they left and then I got a bill for an additional $65. I do not recommend this service.

+ 0 moreThey've been very flexible. We've had some medical issues and scheduling issues around the same time. They've been extremely flexible throughout all of it. Also, we've done an amazing amount of work in a reasonable short amount of time with them helping us. I would highly recommend them as a provider.
Description of Work: They are staging our house. We've completed several different stages of the process. They've helped us clean out our two different garages. They've isolated and separated items into which ones we are going to sell, keep and dispose of.

Description of Work: My project was different from this company's advertised services, but I think anyone with any project will find the same high quality. After two moves within six months of each other, I was living in a sea of boxes, many of which were unidentified but mostly contained books and vinyl records. Linda Carter, the owner, with a bright and industrious colleague we able to to identify the contents of the boxes and methodically set up and organize my apartment, beginning with the kitchen and bedroom. They worked with me on winnowing out useless or outdated things, and arranged each room in a logical and aesthetically pleasing way, including arranging furniture and hanging pictures. My project required extra time because I have hundreds-- perhaps thousands-- of books covering a wide range of topics and genres. Ms. Carter and her colleague were able to organize the books into categories. They were also able to set up my rather complicated home entertainment center efficiently. She is worth her hourly rate of 65/hr per person ($130/hr for two people) because of her efficiency, industriousness, and intelligent organization skills.

She brought a wealth of experience, provided references, did research for us, works hard and steady, is very sensitive to our needs and emotions, provides needed moving materials, offers suggestions, coordinates all aspects of the move, and most of all she brought us comfort and relief to make the next step in our lives a happy one. Life's Next Step has turned the dread into a happy experience for starting the next step in our life.
Description of Work: Life's Next Step is helping us make the transition move from a house to a retirement apartment. They are assisting us in all phases of the move from de-cluttering, sorting trash from estate sale items, organizing files, packing to resettling in the new apartment. Most of all they are providing emotional support for the trauma of downsizing our life by relieving us of many of the details.
