I chose Prime Lending/Max Leaman's office after reading all the positive reviews on Angie's List and was not disappointed. I filled out the intake information on their website and someone contacted me within a day. That person (Jori Stern) was my contact through the entire process. Every time I considered a house or made an offer, Jori would provide me with a new estimate of the monthly payment, closing costs, etc. Every time I had a question, she answered promptly. Jori and her team made sure I was ready to close on time, and sent the funds the day before closing so the loan funded very quickly after I signed. I could not have been happier and I would definitely use them again.

Sherri is a pleasure to work with and is very responsive. She frequently answers her phone and if she misses a call will quickly call you back in an hour or two. She is also very responsive to e-mails. This was my fifth rental loan and my second with Sherri. Sherri provides wise counsel and keeps you from getting in trouble as long as you keep her informed along the way. It is always good to run anything you are thinking of doing with your loan officer before you do it vs. after. I'm not the easiest customer as I ask a lot of questions. Sherri never lost patience with me. I asked for an early closing date. Sherri set realistic expectations and told me how to best go about getting it done. We moved the contract closing date up ten days as a result. We closed 28 days from signing the contract and could have done it in 25 days. This time rates fell after I locked in. I was able to take advantage of their free float down agreement and lower my mortgage rate by 1/4 point. This lowered my mortgage payment $17/mo. That comes to $200 a year or $6,000 over a 30 year mortgage if I keep it that long. That is a substantial savings. I did ask for Max's help with the float down agreement and he was very responsive. I've compared other lenders. You get top notch service from Sherri & Max Leaman and you still get a low price on their origination fees.

From the beginning, prior to pre-approval Jori was over the top helpful. Jori and her staff helped with the purchase of our home in Texas while we were still living in Oregon. As you would expect, this could be a challenge at times. Not for Prime Lending. Communication was promptly answered. We knew we could contact Jori via e-mail or phone. Closed without any issues and when we requested to suddenly try to get our paperwork in order to close early, they said no problem we will do what we can. We closed a week early. My husband and I cannot express how painless buying our house in Texas became after deciding to use Prime Lending. Forever grateful.

Sherri Eckert and her team made what is useful a difficult and painful process easy, pleasant, and helped to take away many of the typical fears and anxiety you go through in making a new home purchase. The home we were purchasing was a signficant investment for us (over $600K) and their team treated us incredibly well through the entire process. They provided multiple good faith estimates at the front of the process to meet several scenario's we were working through for financing, and were very honest with us about what we could expect in regards to closing costs, fee's, and other potential costs. They called everytime they identified something that might change and never made a change to our loan or costs without talking with us first. They were a great intermediary between us and the under writters and talked us through a couple of tricky situations such as when the name on my tax return had been incorrectly documented by our CPA several years ago. I felt like I really had choices in how to find financing that best fit our needs and the team was in constant communication with me the entire time. Even during closing I was telling the title company that if they ever wanted a recommendation for a good mortgage company PrimeLending was the way to go. I would recommend this team to anyone and will never work with anyone else ever again should I have mortgage needs. Who else can say they had a 100% pleasureable experience working with their lender? I have ZERO complaints!

We looked at several lending firms to include those who advertise on TV that they are the best and have the lowest rates. But then we saw the Leaman team on Angie's List and could not believe the reviews. In fact, when my husband called them he asked if all those great reviews were written by their friends and family members. But we found out quickly that they were all true. The process was 30 days total of time, their closing costs were less than anyone else, professionalism unmatched, and they came to our home for closing--we did not have to go anywhere. We would definitely do business with them again. Jori Stern was our loan officer and sshe made the process simple, easy and less stressful--she was awesome!

We ultimately chose to hold off on buying to improve our loan amount and pay down a credit card we have first, even though we got the interest rates we wanted we decided a custom built home was best path for us. And didnt get the loan amount we were hoping for. With some tips Jori provided I think we will be ready by next year to move forward.

It was a very easy process to apply and work with Max Leaman. They were very good with communicating with us about entire process. We received a very good deal and would definitely use them again if we need a mortgage.

They were really helpful and made the process as easy as possible. Great communication through email, phone and fax. Jori and Billie were great. This just shows that you don't have to be local with a loan company to have a great experience. They explained everything to me and answered all of my questions. They were able to lock in a pretty low rate right before they went up some again. I am glad that I used the Lehman Team and I would recommend them to anyone.

This took a few days to address as I'm busy moving into my new home in Del Webb Sweetgrass thanks to the Leaman Team!!! Believe all the 5 star reviews, they are here for a reason - they really are THAT GOOD! After having been put through mortgage approval H*ll by Pulte Mortgage (because we are self employed) and coming within 3 days of losing $10,000 in earnest money, I found Max and his team on Yelp. I contacted him, he responded immediately and with just a few days to assess our situation he was able to get us the pre-approval we needed for construction to begin, something Pulte could not do in 45 days. He and Billie Ann Alfarez made it such a pleasant experience - just how it should be when you're so excited over purchasing your home! They absolutely have to be the best in Texas and most likely, the entire USA! You don't have to live in Austin or even Texas to use them! I could go on and on but you get the idea. Don't waste your time with any other mortgage lender, just go right to the top! I cannot thank them enough for their prompt, caring and professional attitudes!!!

We closed on time. The meeting at the title company was prompt and brief. A week later I checked to be sure my original mortgage had been paid off and it had. This was a great experience and it will save me lots and lots of money. Thanks.

We contacted Max Leaman becuase of the good reviews on Angie's List. And from our experience the good reviews are for real and we'd like to add our own. We submitted our loan application on July 1st and closed on July 22nd in the comfort of our own home with no problems. Everyone at Max Leaman was very polite and prophessional. We went from a 6% 30 year Chase mortgage (with 19 years left) to a 3.75% 15 year mortgage thru Max Leaman/Prime Lending. Not only did we knock off four years but our payment went down about $75 a month and we weren't out of pocket any money at closing. The only bad part about the whole process was the mountain of paper work/information you have to come up with. Everything was done long distance over the phone/internet/US mail. We had the "Float Down Option" but it never triggered or took effect for us. We would gladly use the Max Leaman team again and recommend them to others.

We were referred to the Max Leaman team through our real estate company. We worked through Ms. Amy Bailey Oehler, a Senior Loan officer, initially by email and phone, but later in person after we moved to the Austin area. Amy was very knowledgeable about the process and helped us navigate through the mortgage application. Overall, we received a very competitive rate and were quite satisfied with the entire transaction.

Exceeded expectations. Very professional and attentive service. Be sure and arrange closing near your home, but the experience in Austin office was best we have ever experienced.

The process went very smooth, Amy and her Max team were very professional, and helped us have everything ready for home loan processing well ahead of time. Always responded immediately to all our questions, took great care during closing, patiently explained various costs. Amy & her team came through with the loan package in time, and we received amazing customer service. My husband and I will not hesitate to use Max again for our next transaction.

I called their 800 number and immediately spoke to Sherri who became my loan officer. She seemed well versed in what I was trying to do with investment properties and followed up with an e-mail with links to an online application and a document upload facility. I proceeded to fill out the application and started uploading documents. I liked the document upload facility as I felt it was safer than sending personal and confidential documents via e-mail even if they were encrypted and I encrypted several anyway. We had a couple of challenges mostly beyond their control but they were very close to an on-time closing. We ended up closing three days late but that was mostly due to the Seller going out of town the afternoon of the day we were supposed to close which we didn?t know until a day or two before and then not being available until three days later. The other challenges we dealt with were the tenant deferred the appraisal appointment a few days so the appraisal appointment wasn?t until three business days before closing and we got the appraisal Friday afternoon with a scheduled Tuesday closing. While we discussed the appraisal status daily the week it was due, (yes, I knew in advance what day the appraisal was due in and who was doing it), but, I didn?t learn until it was late that it had been rescheduled by the tenant, and by then, there was nothing I could do about it since it was rescheduled for that day. I refinanced my house and also bought a new car while the loan was in process plus my two previous investment loans hadn?t shown up on my credit report so we had to do some manual verification of all that the last Friday afternoon before closing. If I was going to criticize them about something, I think that could have been handled better since they had known about them for 2-4 weeks. Fortunately, that won?t be happening again and I know most lenders wouldn?t have been happy about that many late breaking changes to my credit file. With all that in mind, they got the paperwork out the afternoon we were supposed to close, 32 days after the contract was final. We probably could have closed that afternoon if the seller hadn?t left town. They also held off in ordering the appraisal until 11 days after contract execution when the option period extended, as we had some late breaking news on the roof. If it hadn?t been for that, we might have closed under 30 days, as it was only 21 days from when the Option period ended until we closed. My realtor thinks they were as good or better as any lender he has dealt with . Everyone felt they were very responsive. 90% or more of all e-mails were returned within two hours and some even on week-ends. The loan officer Sherri Eckert regularly answered her phone. I think she answered at least two thirds of the times I called, maybe more. I never had trouble getting hold of her as I had previous lenders. There fees were under $1,000, not counting discount points and a rate lock extension which I think is 2-3 times better than I paid previously. I was not asked to sign any one-sided agreement to pay fees if I didn?t close and I didn?t pay for the appraisal up front. They offered me a free rate float down agreement that I paid nothing for unless I switched lenders. I owed them nothing if I didn?t close. Sherri was pro-active on the rate lock and called me to suggest options when rates dipped. I paid about 1/3 of a point to buy the rate down to 4 3/8 from the original 4 ¾ estimated. There was some confusion on escrow that I expect won't happen again. They had set it up as a loan with an escrow account so I paid about 1/3 point to get that waived. I also paid about $104 for a three day rate lock extension since the seller left town for three days. If it had only been a day or two, I don?t think there would have been any charges to extend the rate lock. In my opinion I got significantly better service at a lower cost, and we were very close to closing on time even though there were several challenges beyond the control of the lender. I expect the next loan will go even better. Considering all the curveballs they dealt with, I think they did very well to be ready to close within a day of scheduled.

We had a seller who was extremely motivated to close on his property, and gave us very little time to work out the financing. I had been shopping around for a lender to help me refinance my 10 properties. It was challenging to find someone whol could do all 10. I ended up refinancing two with cash outs with a lender I had used many times in the past but who is not that nice to me. Then I found the Leaman team AND Jori. I have had a lot of experience in this area and this company is top notch. Even my title company said that the Austin Group, meaning the Max Leaman team, "had it all together." Even though I was in Fort Worth, as are my properties, they worked with my favorite title company and got the job done. This is what I like about Jori: She did what she said she would do. She returned calls very promptly, sometimes within minutes. She was super nice, even when she found out I was refiancing two of my properties somewhere else. Even when I needed to switch programs, she was still cool about it, and worked with me to make the best for me. I know they are swamped, but when it was my turn, it was my turn, and I know that my file was a lot more complicated and time consuming than most yet she was very attendant to my issues and needs. Billiie Ann, a co worker with Jori, was also especially prompt and courteous. I felt like this company, through what I experienced through Jori and any other employee form the Leaman tam, was respectable, respectful, kind and courteous -- and got the job done. I have had much experience with mortgage companies in the last 15 years and Jori, Billie Ann with the Leman team are the best -- by far. I am now in the market to buy another home, for me to live in, and have already contacted Jori to assist in this purchase. I actually found out about this group through Angie's list.

Max's team, Jori and Jennifer, were great. They made the process quite easy for us. We had a remote closing and they were great getting everything done on time for the remote closing. Couldn't recommend more.

Based on online reviews, we contacted Leaman Team to see about financing a new house purchase. Easily the smoothest part of the transaction. Online pre-qualifying went fast, paperwork requests were straightforward, and we had pre-approval in a few days. They helped us lock in rates, and even worked with us to keep them low when the (planned) closing date was extended. Always pleasant and courteous to work with.

This was our second home refinance and Max made it as painless as he did the first time. He is great to work with and I always appreciate his responsiveness to any of our inquiries.

Best home lending/mortgage experience I've had by far! We'd been delaying refinance research due to the sheer inconvenience & frustration we'd had while working with prior lenders. I found the Max Leaman team on Angie's List with great reviews and decided to give them a try. I was pleasantly surprised with their professionalism, efficiency and just pleasantness from day one. I worked primarily with Sherri Eckert who was fantastic but experienced the same level of service from everyone else who assisted us through the closing process. There was no high pressure or switching of information. What we were told to expect was exactly what happened and the timeline for it taking place never changed. Closing took place at our home on our schedule. I have never received any communication from an originator after closing and we have received several notes and even a thank you gift from this company for our business. Highly recommend this team for all your mortgage needs!

Mortgage Refinance has become very complex and time consuming. The Leaman team went above and beyond to explain all aspects and necessary steps to complete my refinance. They were also very patient with my lack of understanding of all the rules and regualations required in the mortgage industry today. They gave me a list of everything they would need. Once I provided all the required information and documentation, they kept me informed of where we where in the process until completion.
