Larry was very responsive and offered a lot of free market information and advice that was based on his experience during appraisals in the Comanche Trail area. Due to the schedule, I didn't have him do a detailed appraisal. I will definitely use Larry in the future should I need a property appraisal.

He was prompt in calling me back for an appointment, fit the appointment in around our tight time schedule of visiting my mom's house on Long Island, and delivered the complete, detailed appraisal with photographs and comps on Sunday by email, a full two days before he had promised it. At his visit, he was professional and pleasant. Since my mom and I were selling her New York house from a Illinois, we wanted to know what it was worth before speaking to several potential buyers and before engaging a real estate broker. We were very satisfied with Larry's services.

I called and spoke with Larry to schedule an appraisal of a private home. Everything went very smoothly and after his appraisal I have a better sense of the value of the property, what repairs are needed with a ballpark cost of repairs. I recommend Mr. Ellis for a quick, painless and knowledgeable property appraisal.

I dealt with Larry directly, he picked up the phone on my first call. I had a number of questions regarding the appraisal process specific to my situation and Larry was very respectful and polite as well as informative when answering my questions. Larry did not pressure me into moving forward with the appraisal, he provided all details required and advised me to let him know if we wanted to move forward. We ultimately moved forward with using Larry's services, he completed the appraisal and returned all documentation to us in less than a week. The appraisal was thorough and accurate and Larry made himself available for any questions I may have. I would absolutely use L Ellis Appraisals again in the future and would be happy to refer to anyone seeking a real estate appraiser.

Everything went well. Larry was able to setup an appointment right away, arrived promptly, worked quick, and had a thorough and professional report to us in just 48 hours!

My insurance company would not accept an estimate from an independent appraiser, so I canceled on the meeting, but if my insurance company doesnt provide the protection I want then I will use this company to privately appraise so I know what to look for when I shop around for a new policy.

The provider scheduled an appointment for a visual inspection of the premises in a prompt manner. The provider was prompt in responding to all e-mail and telephone communications. When we ran into issues affecting the type of appraisal needed, the Provider was flexible and waited until we resolved our issues to complete the appraisal report. The final report was professional, thorough and provided in a timely manner.

Larry was very pleasant and he knew what the insurance company was asking for. He also explained that he does a full appraisal, which included the info that they would focus on. We made an appointment, he showed up on time and went about his business. He explained what he would be looking at and that the finished report would be received in a couple of days, which it was. Once I looked at it, I emailed him with a couple of questions which he answered promptly.

Larry answered our call promptly on Monday the 30th June and was here Wednesday 3rd July at 8.30am. He is professional and quite personable, with a lovely disposition. He understands the record-keeping of older homes in Nassau County NY, which is good, since our historic home has an inaccurate original construction date on file. Larry took lots of photos as part of his appraisal process, and asked questions as needed. He took less than the normal 30 minutes he suggested it would take, yet he was very thorough. His fee was in keeping with others he has supplied to Angies List customers, as I gleaned from other reviews. Because of the July 4th long weekend, Larry offered to have our appraisal to us by Saturday the 6th, but since we aren't in a rush on this, we told him to just get it to us next week. He asked if we would accept a soft-copy of the appraisal emailed to us as a PDF document, and that works wonderfully for us. For those needing a hard-copy and even once with an embossed seal of his company, Larry can provide that. We'd highly recommend Larry Ellis to anyone requiring appraisals.

I e-mailed him on a Sunday evening just to try 9:30 the next morning; he called me and said I have a few openings today. In less than 24 hours after contacting, by 4:00 in the afternoon I met him. He he was very professional and explained very clearly how it would be. He had a good observant eye and he was knowledgeable about the area.

I received the completed reports in 3 business days. Larry was very professional, pleasant, prompt and courteous. I will definitely use his service again in the future.

Do make an appointment for this housing event early Do try to be there so you are clear what is will be a part of the appraisal. I say this because I sold a home before and had an appraisal and inspection done and I felt like I did not get the full benefit of the experience. So suffice to say be involved for this process. Do make sure you understand everything that will go into the Appraisal; the appraisal will not necessarily cover the items that a home inspection will cover. You will need to get an Home Inspection to cover the items that are not up to code and or liveable standard. Don't try to add "what you think" the value ought to be, it is what it is, and that's why you must do a Home Inspection.

The hardest part was finding a time when Mr. Ellis and I were both available to see the property. Once that was arranged things went smoothly.

Two different appraisers came and were both very professional. They were prompt and courteous and report was written for one within the week for the other within the day.

We needed an appraisal on my family's home on Long Island, for estate purposes. Larry Ellis was very pleasant and friendly and easy to talk to, and patiently answered all my questions about the process. He was always easy to reach, and came on time for the scheduled appraisal, and turned around the results very quickly. It was a pleasure dealing with him, and I'd recommend him to anybody in need of an appraisal.

The overall experience was very good. There were no hidden fees, or long waits.

We are in the process of selling a house and did not feel comfortable with the real estate people we contracted so we had the house appraised to know where we stand

Received discount because of Angie's List. Called to say he would be late due to traffic. Was pleasant and worked speedily. Appologized for being so busy he couldn't return my inintal phone calls right away. But answered my phone questions promptly, after the report came (the following day as promised). Had I been told certain items were to be in pictures, they would have been removed before the pictures were taken.

Appraiser arrived on time, inspected premises thoroughly and took supporting pictures. Promised a report within a week and delivered, via e-mail - within four days.

He was very professional, punctual and answered all of my questions. I would highly recommend him.
