Kubelka Electric

I called for help with an intermittent problem with my home AC unit. Something was causing the unit to go off and into a and quot;waitand quot; state, then turn itself back on after a while. First I called my AC service company, who thought it likely was a problem with my (Honeywell WiFi-enabled programmable) thermostat. Honeywell's support staff were not very helpful because the thermostat is about 6 month's past their 1-year warranty period, but did suggest that I should verify that the thermostat wiring was getting the correct voltage. So I called Kubelka Electric because they are highly recommended by many people in my neighborhood. Eugene called me back within a few hours of me leaving a voice mail message. Because his schedule was full for the rest of the week, he connected me with his colleague, Kyle, and we planned that Kyle would call me the next morning and work a visit into my house into his day if needed. Kyle called as planned. He asked great questions and we talked through what he would do if he came out and what were the most likely outcomes. I decided to try a few more things, with help from a friend wielding a voltage meter, before scheduling with Kyle. Ultimately it was the AC service folks who needed to come out and the problem is solved. (Safe-T-Switch was turning off the AC unit due to clogging in the drain. line.) I really appreciated the quality of my interaction with Eugene and Kyle and I definitely would contact them again for future electrical work. They were both friendly, professional and clear communicators. They could easily have scheduled a $125 service call instead of working with me by phone, but instead they were clearly more interested in helping me achieve a good outcome. Kyle was totally fine with me trying some of his suggestions and he stayed in touch to make sure it all worked out well. Knowledgeable, with a great customer service ethic.!

They never responded to my call. I waited a week and found another company to do the job.

Eugene is a very competent (and nice) person. Kyle, his co-worker, is as well! Very good work. I highly highly recommend them.

The quote was for $3000. The guy was very relaxed. He showed up on time. His price was 50% higher than the others. So, I don’t think I will be using him. It took a good couple of weeks to get the quote after the consultation.

Very Well. A friend had recommended Kubelka Electric after she had lighting hit her house and destroyed a portion of her electric system. Eugene happened to also live in an older house like mine (1930s) and understood my love for its quirks and charm. He returned my calls within a day, arrived when he said he would, told me what to expect, informed me about code requirements and gave me options re: work to be done when options were available. He and his helper were polite and clean. The work was of excellent quality and I feel much safer in my home now with the electric upgrade. I have used Eugene for smaller jobs since and will plan to use him in the future for additional electrical home improvement jobs. I would recommend him to anyone as a skilled and honest tradesman.

Eugene Kubelka was a pleasure to deal with. He was very realistic about the timeline. He was such a smart, efficient worker too. He was very dependable and trustworthy. He did a great job and didn t have to have any follow ups done on any of his work. He would back his work if we had needed any help.
