I called at least 3 times to talk to sales person on new countertops, no return calls.

They are very good and excellent all the way. I have worked with them before. I would highly recommend them and I have used him to purchase appliances. They are a long time company here in Austin and I went in there because of good reputation. I would use them in the future.

It was a wonderful experience. Leah goes above and beyond customer service. She follows through every step of the way to be sure that everything goes smoothly. It really was a great experience.

We had a good experience with Dallas Rogers in plumbing fixtures. Hogan O?donnell in appliances is very knowledgeable. While there was oversight on multiple people?s part in choosing a refrigerator for our space, Hogan worked to fix the problem. Chris Shanahan is countertops communicated poorly, shirked responsibility and passed off management to his sub, Alpha Granite. Here is the timeline: On October 26th, 2011 we approved and purchased the countertops for our kitchen and 2 bathrooms, and were told about 2 weeks lead time on materials. On November 11th the kitchen countertops arrived but didn?t match each other. Luckily Alpha Granite, who Kiva Kitchen and Bath sub-contracts with, advised us before delivering to the site. We were advised that it would now take 3 weeks to order the countertops that we want. We decided to go with our 2nd choice of countertops because they were in stock and could be installed Dec. 8-9th (Full disclosure, Chris Shanahan disputes that he told our contractor that date, however I have a much longer history of honesty with our contractor). On December 5th the hall and bath countertops were installed, but the hall bath piece was cut too short (Alpha Granite failed to measure correctly) On Dec. 8th we were told the Kitchen tops won?t be installed until Dec 14th. On Dec. 13th we were told they would be installed the 15th. On Dec. 15th Alpha Granite showed up with material and started installing the kitchen countertops but again cut 1 piece too short. 3 of 4 countertops are installed. On Dec. 16th A piece was added to the hall bath splash that was cut too short in the hall bath creating a seam, and hoping to pass off as acceptable. Finally on December 20th the final kitchen piece was installed and the hall bath replaced. Failing to meet our deadline single handedly rested on Kiva. We had dozens of subcontractors through the home during the process of our gut job. Framers, Plumbers, Electricians, Low Voltage, Tile, Floors, Sheet Rockers, Painters, Carpenters all met or exceeded expectations. Obtaining our plumbing permit rested on the kitchen sink and countertops being installed, which pushed the floors, which pushed the move in date. We suffered a small financial cost extending the rent on our apt. and storage unit. When asked, Kiva stood behind this kind of work and offered no compensation for time lost. In fact, in an email Chris Shanahan said, ?Everything that was within my control was taken care of in a professional and timely manner.? That is exactly the kind of attitude that provoked me to write that Chris shirked responsibility??Everything that was within my control?? everything is in your control, you?re the service provider!!!
