Jason and his crew of four arrived as promised and immediately begin the work. They worked from about 10:30 am until after 6pm, cutting and hauling away trunks, branches and debris. They did an awesome job, and the property looks so much cleaner and tailored. The guys worked really hard and did everything they said they would do at the price quoted, what a difference! Thank you, Jason and team!

We contacted JW Tree and Land Services for a quote to trim trees in our front yard. A representative of the company (sorry I don't remember the person's name, but it's been a few months!) arrived either that day or the following day at our home and gave us a very reasonable quote. The workers arrived on-time, performed the work very quickly, hauled away the trimmed material, and completely cleaned up after finishing the work (something I've heard that not all companies do). We don't have a negative thing to say about the experience. The work performed was excellent. Cut limbs were painted and trees were shaped with expert care. The trees didn't appear handled. Even though a considerable amount of material was trimmed, the natural aesthetic of the trees was not compromised in any way. My wife and I are convinced that their work significantly contributed to the quick sale of our home.

I hired JW because I needed a large tree cantilevered precariously over my new home removed, and while they were here, I had them remove some old (large) dead stumps and trim the trees. I am very happy with the work they did on the stags, but feel that they over-trimmed the live oaks a touch, trimming off every branch that was smaller than a child's arm and as a result the trees look barron. I prefer a more natural look on my trees, but I guess they felt they needed to earn their tree-trimming fee... and the branch that I was actually concerned about is STILL touching the power lines, although now it is one of the only branches left with a crown of leaves so I guess it stays. they cleaned up after themselves very well.

Exceptional - This is the 3rd time that Jason came out and did work for us. His work this time was no different than the previous jobs, without a hitch. His crew did a quality cleanup and left. No problems, no complaints, and as always, with a smile.

Extremely well. Jason and his crew came out and did another fantastic job, this is the 2nd time I've used them. The price was right and as always, he and his crew couldn't have been nicer. They did a quality cleanup and left with a smile. Everyone's happy....

I called Jason and he came over that afternoon to walk the property with me and make recommendations. We agreed on the price (which, though expensive for me,a retiree, is in line (probably less than) with others in this area)and his crew came over to start the next afternoon (after finishing the job they were on). The crew members were all excellent workers, very professional and eager to please. They worked till dusk and then came back early the next morning. They worked with hand tools until after 8:00 am so as to not disturb my neighbors too early. They not only did everything we had agreed on but actually did some extras (after asking if it was okay) without any additional charge. Clean-up was immaculate (looked better than before they started) and both my front and back yards (over 25 trees in total) never looked as good. I would recommend this crew to anyone and will have them back next time I need it done.

The negatives: The owner showed up 1.5 hours late for the bid. Crew showed up the next day without being scheduled by the owner as promised. $450 for less than 2 hours of work by 2 people seems steep. I should have pushed more on the cost of the bid. The positives: The crew was very neat and clean. Easy to communicate with. They understood trees and how to properly trim them.

I called the owner Jason and he was here to give us an estimate within the hour. He said they were working in the area. We agreed to the bid and he had a crew here in a hour and the tree was gone an hour after that. Talk about service!

Overall the job was well done except for the stump grinding. The sub-contractor they hired for this did not remove the debris so there is a pretty big mess left in my back yard. This is the only reason I did not rate the work done as an "A". If you decide to go with JW for any stump grinding be aware of this.

Great. Good cleanup and very reasonable price

Jason was responsive to my call on Wednesday. He came over to give me a reasonable estimate on Thursday and by Friday afternoon he got his crew cut down the dead tree and removed it completely from my property for me. I was very happy with the quick, reasonably priced, and professional service that Jason provided!

The service was exceptional. Jason and his crew came in and took care of business immediately. I explained that I was in a rush to have the work completed and Jason realigned his schedule to complete the work. Jason was very professional and friendly, and his crew not only did great work but did a good job cleaning up. I felt that the price for the work was very much in line with the value I received. I would definitely recommend this contractor for any work performed.

Overall an A+ quality experience, fair price to do the job, the yard was left clean when the workmen left and the work was done well. Will absolutely use Jason and his company again.

We have two huge Lacebark Elm trees shading our roof, pool and yard; during last summer's storms, a large branch broke off and fortunately just came to rest on the roof without causing any damage. We last had these trees trimmed 4 or 5 years ago. It was quite expensive so we'd been putting that off but now some of the branches are so heavy with the fall leaves that they're bowing down and touching the roof. So, after checking for coupons in various mailers and then Angie's list, I decided to call Jand W Tree Service. Jason came out at the end of the day (the most convenient time for me to meet him, which I really appreciated) and gave us a bid on just trimming the elm trees, and a second bid for all of our trees (3 more smaller Elms away from the house, a mid-sized red oak, and a bunch of live oaks with a lot of dead branches). To my surprise, his bid was less than the other tree service charged for just the two Elm trees, so I was happy to accept it. I'm pleased to report that Jand W exceeded expectations: the crew was here when I came home today, and did a terrific job. There was another large broken branch hidden in the canopy of one of the elms that I didn't even know about; they trimmed all the dead wood out of the live oaks (they look terrific now--totally different), raised the tree canopies so now we can walk in our yard without ducking, trimmed all the trees so the branches don't touch the house even in a strong windstorm, thinned out the dense canopies, and at the end, cleaned up so well that the yard looks much better than before they arrived (they even cleaned the fallen leaves and branches out of our pool which the last service did not do). The trees look great -- no longer so weedy and scraggly and we can see the sky again. I'm very pleased with their service and at this price, I can do it every couple of years. Highly recommended.

Jason arranged to come provide an estimate the same day I called (came after 5pm at my request). Had his crew out the next day. They not only trimmed the trees but were very meticulous about cleaning up and hauling everything away. Even cut down some additional dead branches that were not in the quote for no extra charge.

I met Jason and his crew while they were trimming my neighbors trees. I observed them a while and noticed they did a good job on their trees and they cleaned up the yard when they finished. My neighbor was happy with the job they did in his yard. I asked Jason to come over and give us an estimate for cleaning my oaks of dead branches, crossed limbs, and removal of three trees. I also wanted the canopy lifted over the roof and opened to give us more light in preparation for sod installation in the shady back yard. I checked Yelp and Angie's List both were favorable toward JW. Jason's crew did an excellent job. They worked on all the areas we discussed and went beyond what Jason promised. Jason even took a discount coupon I found after he gave me the bid (they included extra tree work for the coupon.) The crew was courteous, hard working, safe, and they all worked to give us more than we anticipated.They sterilized saws and trimmers before work began and sprayed cuts on the oak trees as they worked. They also used safety ropes and belts and they cleaned up the yard as they worked. All of which gave me peace of mind. They did a superior job overall. It will be a while before I need trimming again because they actually did the job right. I recommend Jason and his crew and I will certainly call him again when I need tree work. We found JW Tree and Land Service's price to be very competitive with those of other tree services. Within a few hours of agreeing to the contract the crew showed up and began cutting. They worked very quickly and efficiently - very few breaks and short lunch breaks. I have not seen many outdoor crews work this hard - especially in the heat of a Texas drought. In a day and a half they were finished. The firewood pieces were neatly stacked and the areas where the trees once stood were so clean you could barely tell that any work had been done. These guys are really impressive - fast, friendly, professional, and reasonably priced. We highly recommend you consider them if you are needing tree work.

My next door neighbor told me he was getting his trees trimmed and asked if I wanted to get mine done at the same time. I have always used the larger, advertised companies to trim my trees but after speaking with Jason (one of the owners) and getting a bid, I decided to hire them. Jason said his crew could be out that same day but by the time they arrived and completed my neighbors yard, they ran out of daylight. They said they would return the next day to finish my yard. They arrived on time the next day. They moved my potted plants that were underneath the trees to be trimmed and took them to the patio. They worked for several hours, climbing in the 8 large live oaks I have in the backyard. At times I could not even see them, but I saw their safety lines dangling from the top part of my trees! They climbed all over those trees with pole saws and chain saws! They took their time shaping the trees so the look was more natural rather than clearing the trees all the way to the canopies. When they were finished all of the limbs and cuttings were cleaned up. My yard looked BETTER after they cleaned up than it did before they arrived! They moved all of my potted plants back to their original location too. The job they did with the trees was better than any of the larger companies I've used over the last 15 years. I felt like I got MORE than my money's worth. I would highly recommend this company to anyone.
