I am so happy we chose highly-rated JP Construction for our project and we are delighted with the results. Jon Poulson, his staff, and construction crew were prompt, responsive, courteous, reliable, hard-working, and did an excellent job. The house had been neglected for years before I inherited it. Now, it is beautiful! Everyone is looking for a contractor that does excellent work but it is more important to find a contractor they can trust. Mr. Poulson and his crew did everything they promised to do and more. I will definitely call on them again.

This was the second time in the last three months that we had work done by JP Construction and again we were extremely satisfied. Matt came to our home within a day of our contacting him and reviewed the work we wanted done. We quickly received an estimate and upon approval by us Eddie arrived to measure the Windows. The installation was perfectly done and the Windows look great! I have had work done by other contractors in the past and I can honestly say that JP Construction's attention to detail surpasses others by a wide margin. As other projects arise we will again call upon JP and because of their professionalism and high quality of service we are comfortable recommending JP to anyone.

I called Jon for a quote and he showed up within a few hours on the same day. The price was fair and competitive. Not cheap, but not unreasonable either. I went with him as he was highly recommended by a friend. They were supposed to start in 4-6 weeks, but he called me early and said they had an opening to do it early. I agreed. It was around the holidays and they were very flexible on their work schedule. I didn't want them pounding on the walls all day when I was home and they were accommodating to that. The siding crew worked from dusk till dawn and did a great job. Their work was excellent. One example is where some trim boards bordered the masonry. There was a large gap after removing the old trim which took the mortar with it. The lazy method would have been to foam up the gap and cover with caulk. The did it right by re-mortaring it and even got the color spot on. They also poked a hole in a window screen and without any prodding from me, repaired it. My only complaint, if even a complaint at all, is that I wished that the trim cuts were a bit more accurate. There were a few gaps between trim boards where the cut could have been a little more accurate, but of course, the caulking by the painters cured all and you couldn't see it after they were done. I suppose 1/8" short here or there after hundreds of cuts is probably reasonable and acceptable. Painting crew came in as the siding crew was wrapping up. They spent nearly an entire day caulking and prepping. They too did an awesome job. Their prep did well as there was paint only where it was supposed to be. I would highly recommend Jon for siding and painting work. His crews were professional, punctual, and did a great job.

The work EXCEEDED my expectations! Matt was extremely responsive to our needs. Visited my home and explained the type of materials and Windows they would use. He provided an estimate and a projected date when the work could be done. Matt kept in constant contact with me and provided regular updates on the window order. Matt set up an appointment with me for a staff member, Eddie, to come and measure for the Windows. Eddie arrived on the date and at the precise time agreed. He was quite knowledgeable about the Windows and carefully explained the process. Today, the agreed upon date and at the agreed upon time Eddie arrived with two workers. Matt also contacted me to make sure all was well. The workers were quite professional and took the extra time to show me their progress and ask if I was satisfied. The extensive removal of 30 year old Windows and 30 year old rotted framework was completed and truly exceeded my expectations. I have additional projects in mind and will not hesitate to call upon JP Construction once again. It is a comforting feeling knowing that an honest and reliable company like JP is available.

Excellent service! Everything was top notch. It has rained several times since the windows were installed and there are no sign of leaking for fogging. The underpinning looks great! Everyone involved (Jon, Abel and other names I don't remember) were kind, professional and excellent communicators. It took 2 weeks for the custom windows to come and one day to install. The underpinning was constructed in one day. I highly recommend JP Construction!

Matt and his teams were wonderful. They communicated with me and were very efficient. They also went above and beyond to fix other things that they found just to be helpful. I was really impressed with the job that they did and how easy they made the process.

From the first phone call requesting a bid, through the daily coming and going of the crew, to the final payment of the invoice, this company was seamless in their response time, professionalism, and quality of work. They showed up every morning, worked hard all day, cleaned up their mess at the end of each day, and always welcomed my questions. I didn't know anything about siding before this project began, but I now have a firm knowledge of the product and the importance it holds in the value and protection of our home. The owner, Jon Polson and his crew were eager to share their knowledge and show me the steps they were taking throughout the job. I am glad we chose JP Construction for this project. It is an investment to be sure, but one we will benefit from for the next couple of decades. I recommend them highly.

This was a pretty major project that took about 2 weeks to complete. I had extensive hail damage to my roof and vinyl siding. I decided to have all the siding (two layers) removed from the house and all replaced with Hardiplank. They also tore off the old roof and replaced with a new one and painted all the Hardiplank. New custom gutters too. Can't say enough good things about owner Jon Polson who coordinated everything. He always answered my calls or emails with any concerns I had and was very helpful on every step of this project. His crews were very hard working and obviously took pride in their work. Pulling 2 layers of siding off a 3 story house is no easy task, but they got it all done in 2 days, tore off the old roof and replace with a new one, then put up the Hardiplank. Then he sent over his painters who did a magnificent job. All of his workers were very responsive to my questions, and very polite. The end result is just wonderful....my home looks brand new! I highly recommend JP Construction!

I found JP Construction on Angie's list and called to get an estimate. I made this phone call on my cell phone as I was traveling for work and expected to play phone tag for a while. To my surprise contact was made within minutes and we arranged for a date and time for an estimate. JP Construction came on time and measurements were taken. I have never replaced siding before and had done some research but my knowledge was limited. By the end of the visit I felt like I had the information I needed to make an informed decision even though I didn't know all the questions to ask when I started. The estimate turned out to be in the ballpark with others but I decided to go with JP Construction because of the punctuality, professionalism and knowledge of the product. The job included replacement of an old sliding glass patio door. The installer was great. He arrived on time to take measurements and was gone within a few minutes. On the agreed upon date, the installer arrived on time and the patio door was installed without any glitches. In a matter of 4 days the old siding was replaced, the new Hardie board put up and painted. Both my husband and I left during the day to go to work and never once had concerns about leaving the crew without supervision. The house looks great, the process was painless, and I would ABSOLUTELY recommend JP Construction to my friends and family.

Fantastic. Matt was responsive, quick to respond and communicate regarding the appointment. He listened to my concerns and responded clearly. He let me know this was a small job that we didn't need the services his company provides on our siding and he recommended that we hire a handyman to caulk the seams. I appreciate his honesty and will use his company when it is time for to get our house repainted and siding replaced!

I had a very good experience with JP Construction Jon the owner was very easy to deal with, and he followed through with everything he said. All of his workers were professional, courteous, skilled, and dependable; a pleasure to deal with. They showed up reliably when they were supposed to. They worked hard and fast. Their work was very good. The couple of times I wanted something addressed, they took care of it immediately and without complaint. I did not have to hover over them to make sure things were done right. I have been in construction in one fashion or another for almost all of my 35 year working career. I do most of my own work myself. I am pretty picky, and it is pretty hard for me to turn this sort of work over to someone else. In this case, I am very glad I did. I could not have done it as well myself. The paint job on our house and garage apartment are beautiful! We love our new windows! The place looks better than ever before! JP Construction did a fantastic job. The price was very reasonable. I plan to call them again soon for some more work I need done. I very highly recommend them.

Prior to contacting JP Construction, we had given up on finding a reputable contractor that did good, quality work. The past few remodeling projects my wife and I did ourselves because we were tired of paying top-dollar for poor work. We were very fortunate to find Jon and his crew. From day one, Jon communicated very well. He was easy to get in touch with and returned quotes in a timely manner. We were very impressed with the scheduling of the three different crews that worked on the job. The carpentry crew led by Frank did a wonderful job on the decking - you could tell they took pride in their work. The painting crew came out the day after to begin caulking and prep. Jimmy was easy to work with as well and also did a great job repairing wood trim on the chimney which had rotted due to the original poor installation. He even corrected the issue by including spacers necessary to allow water to drain so the new wood would be less likely to rot. They stained the deck and put two coats of paint over a two day period. The gutters were done on the last day by a person who was equally professional and meticulous ? we ended up with a much better result than the original construction. In all cases, every crew was very careful not to damage our numerous plants and did a thorough job of cleaning up afterwards even when they were coming back the next day.

I got four other estimates but chose JP Construction because of their good reviews and because the price was right.

To begin with Jon communicated with me immediately. He told me that the person who works the Dallas area would be contacting me which he did within a day. We set up a time and he was actually early. When he came to my home he was very professional and seemed very knowledable. Told me all about the company ect ect. - I had read all the reviews so I knew they did great work so I was excited to get the bid. I had already received a bid from the builder who remodeled my house (expensive) and from a friend whose contractor had remodeded their house and I came to know. Anyhew when I received the bid I almost fell out of my chair!!! To begin with JP's bid was TWICE as much (less 1450.00) as one bid and $7000.00 more than the builder that remodeled my home (very top end builder that mainly works in the Park Cities). I couldn't believe it. They were going to charge $4800.00 to put a new roof on my garage, which is a basic 2 car detached garage. That's more than I paid to have my whole house roofed. I am not by any means saying not to use this company because as you can see the reviews for their work are very good. All I'm saying is you will for sure want to get a second bid!!!!

I would HIGHLY recommend JP Construction to anyone. They were awesome! Working with Matt and their crews to replace my old siding/trim with Hardie siding material was one of the best decisions I've made in regards to upgrading my home. They also replaced 2 of my 1970's windows with Simonton product on the side of my house and matched the previously installed front windows perfectly. The paint job was done to perfection and very professional. They also worked patiently and efficiently with me and my electrician when he had to re-build my service on the exterior. They came back on short notice and completed the siding underneath the new panel/meter so the electrician could finish his install. I will definitely hire them again in the future and recommend them to anyone seeking their services. They are top notch!

The other provider had a better deal and financing. If they had offered a financing I would have probably gone with them.

I got a great vibe from Jon, the owner of JP Construction, as soon as we started discussing what I needed so that he could work up an estimate. He asked more questions than the other companies and walked around the house with me first before measuring, instead of only talking about the main problem area. Then he told me that if other companies came in at a lower bid and it was close, he'd be able to work with me - but if it was hundreds of dollars lower, that means they're cutting labor costs and he wouldn't do that because he takes care of his guys. I was incredibly impressed by that!! They were able to schedule me in a lot quicker than I expected, even with 2-day rain delay, and work was completed within 2 weeks of accepting his bid (which I did on a Friday, so that makes it even quicker in my opinion!) The work itself only took 4.5 days to install siding on the entire house and paint. From estimate to completion it was only 3 weeks, whereas other companies told me they could fit me into their schedule in 4-6 weeks. The install and painting guys were friendly and polite, and did a WONDERFUL job! I love how my house looks! I highly recommend JP Construction and will definitely contact them first in the future.

We are pleased with the job Jon and his crews did. Having the same crews for as long as JP has had, plus many of the crews being from the same family, is definitely a plus when trying to coordinate and time a job. The job was done on time, and for the bid price. As usual, it is always possible to find someone to do some job for less money-- but then what is the result? I relied on Angie's List reviews to call JP, and am well satisfied with the job done. The bottom line: yes, I would gladly recommend them to others and would be happy to use JP Construction again myself.

Jon advised us against undertaking a large and expensive project and suggested a small, quick fix in its place. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for these types of services and an objective and professional assessment.

I was having difficulty finding a reliable contractor and getting a timely estimate for the repairs needed to the exterior of my house. I found Jon on Angie's List and he responded quickly to my inquiry for services. We met and the next day I had the estimate which included my Angie's List discount. The estimate was very reasonable for the work that needed to be done. Everyone that came to my home was very professional, very friendly, and gave me some good advice about the painting scheme. They cleaned up the yard daily and even power washed my driveway due to some tire marks made during the delivery of the siding supplies (honestly didn't even bother me). I liked that I paid half at the start of the job and only paid the other half after the work was completed to my satisfaction. My home looks 100% better with the new siding and paint. It was truly a great experience working with Jon and his crew. I am now working with Jon on getting an estimate for a deck in my backyard. I highly recommend JP Construction.

Jon came to my house, and we discussed my wishes for the screened porch. He asked questions when clarification was needed, and he was very attentive to what I said I wanted done. He emailed his bid promptly, and we came to an agreement on the services needed and a time table for completion. He gave me a discount for being on Angies' List. He charged 1/2 the total cost at the beginning of the project and did not charge the balance until I was satisfied with the work that had been done. His crews were punctual, polite and asked questions when necessary. They cleaned the work area every day and let me know when they would be returning and what to expect. Honest Air Conditioning, owned and operated by veterans, installed the split A/C and heating unit and were professional in their work. The job was completed in less than two weeks of work, and the porch is beautiful! It will be a wonderful year-round room to my home.

The windows came in a few weeks later than he said they might, but JP was very responsive to questions as to delivery and keeping me informed of when the work would be done. They use a sub-contractor to install them and he was outstanding. The windows are great and the men were professional, engaging, and polite. I left the house for an lunch appointment and never once questioned their integrity or honesty. We will use them next time we replace the rest of our windows in our home. I listened through 6 presentations from the Big Stores as well as window contractors. JP was not the most expensive, that was Champion, but they were not the least expensive either. I felt very comfortable with the rep and appreciated his honesty. He pulled the permits for us which some do not provide. We are very happy with the windows and the entire process. The only reason I hesitated to give them A's on quality was because there are perhaps 3 or 4 small areas inside the home where the wall was marked from their construction work. I will also need to repaint the trim around the outside of a few windows they installed. This might be typical for this type of work though. I don't expect perfection from anyone except my cardiologist. It was not something that would hinder me from recommending them or using them again.
