These guys were AMAZING! I could not be happier. They showed up on a Thursday. I got home and walked outside.....one end of my house was completely covered with the plank as well as the entire back side of the house! I was super surprised. I was told it would take about 1 week to complete and that's what it took. I had the siding and fascia replaced, 2 doors replaced, new lights installed to replace the old ones that were taken down while the siding was installed. They were going to install new cedar shutters for me but I couldn't find ones that I liked. They built me new shutters out of Hardie which is amazing because 1) they look great and 2) they won't rot over time. Mike was my project manager. He was a great guy to work with. He wasn't on site everyday but I wouldn't expect that; however, he was always available by phone, whether it was him calling me or vice versa. He made sure that any issues were corrected (there were only a couple of small ones and they were taken care of.) Nel was the foreman of our crew and he was fantastic! He personally took care of the window & door replacements. He was super meticulous! Put the window in....raise, close....squeaks....make adjustments until everything worked as it should with no sounds. Same process with the new doors. I really did my homework before I ever had anyone come out and give estimates. I even found a calculator to let me know the "fair market charges" for Hardie siding installation. JP fell within the estimate ranges given. Given everything they did for me, I really do feel like I got what I paid for! I highly recommend these guys. I would definitely hire them again.

All associated with JP Construction were top-notch.... the owner, the project manager and the painters. JP will give you options that fit your budget. They power washed the house, repaired rotten wood, primed and painted. The house looks wonderful. They were reliable, professional and easy to communicate with. I wholeheartedly recommend JP Construction.

My husband and I did a lot of research before starting this project. We were concerned about hiring a professional contractor in our price range. Our house was built in the 1950‘s with no insulation, single pane windows, asbestos shingles, our utility bills were unmanageable. We decided to get bids from local contractors for windows and siding. During our first meeting with Jon, we knew we wanted his company, JP Construction, to do the job. Jon made suggestions we had not thought of that would improve the look, energy efficiency of our house and addressed every concern we had. We hoped that his bid would be competitive with others we had received. Upon comparing the bids and the work to be performed, we were impressed with JP’s pricing and the level of detail outlined in the bid. The excellence in his company is reflective in the work crew that arrived, their work is outstanding. There was great attention to all details of the project including, adhering to the timetable, minimizing disruption in the house, and daily cleanup to minimize the mess. The workers were courteous and took pride in their work. During the construction we were concerned about some termite damage and rotted wood that was found when they removed the shingles. They quickly put our minds to ease that the problems were manageable and addressed them quickly. The construction environment relaxed, I didn’t feel like I had strangers at my house while they were there. They even befriended my wary dogs who began to look forward to their arrival every day. For JP Construction, this was another house. For us, it was life changing, it transformed our house into a home that we are proud of and plan on retiring in. In recent days we have had 100+ temps in Austin, our home has been comfortable. The walls and windows are cool to the touch, our A/C rarely runs and utility bills have been cut down to more than half of what they were this same time last year. I can’t recommend JP Construction highly enough for any level of work you may be doing.

It went very well. They started on the date/time that they said they would start. The power washing was accomplished the first day. They caulked on the second day, and they painted on the third day.

Each phase of the work was performed as soon as the previous work was completed and they worked with us around a previously scheduled vacation. Initially, you deal directly with the company owner and he was available and helpful throughout the project. The people doing the work all have been working at their trade for years and the place looks great.

I am very happy that we chose this company to work with. We had all new windows and siding completed and they did a great job. They had great communication and were easily reachable, finished the job in one week, cleaned up our yard at the end of every day, were respectful of my house and space, and even worked their lunch break around my sons midday nap. I could not be more pleased with how this project turned out and am very lucky we found them.

JP Construction did a great job on replacing our siding and gutters. The price was great, their workers showed up on time and did a great job on everything. Can’t say enough about the company and their employees. Will use them again for any future projects on our house.

JP Construction made this overwhelming process the easiest task. I was nervous about what I thought was going to be a nightmare job. But these guys made the entire project so easy and stress free. I never missed a minute of work or felt pressured. Their recurring theme appeared to be "whatever makes you happy". They communicated so well, especially considering I work in healthcare and am not always immediately available. They were professional and punctual. They listened and were patient. My co-worker recommended JP Construction, and I'm so glad he did. They communicated well, were on time, and did great work. Windows were done in a day, siding and painting took a few more days, and everything went very smoothly. The end result was picture perfect. There was room in the contract for fixing rotten boards should they find them once they removed the siding. This allowed for what I knew would be some necessary repair work without running up the final cost. They even fixed a few rotting roof trim boards that my roofer (a different company) had said they'd fix but never did. JP Construction saw that there was an issue and took care of it. AND they fixed a gutter that had been hung incorrectly and was holding water. There was nothing in the contract about that, but they took the time to do it. That's pretty amazing customer service. My neighbor said that it looked like I had a whole new house when they were done. I suppose it would when you get new windows and siding, but that's also a commentary on the quality of work. I'd recommend JP Construction to anyone.

I noticed wood under the roof line was rotting and the siding starting to have issues. The type of siding put on my home back in 1990s was basically compressed wood fibers to something that resembled cardboard. So I asked a neighbor who they used since they also had work done on their home. I called them and said I only wanted basically patch and fix. But they do not perform small jobs and suggest I use JP Construction. JP came over to look at my home to give me an estimate. They were very nice and trustworthy and I pointed out exactly what I wanted to do on my home. He told me he will give me a patch & fix and a total replacement estimate. Soon I received an email with the estimate and it was not too bad. The total replacement was pretty much twice the cost of patch & fix. So I thought how long we were planning to stay living in this house and figure would be 10 years. Also not sure what damage may be lurking behind the boards and then do this process all over again. So I decided to select a total replacement of the old siding and replace with HardiePlank® lap siding. JP accepts different forms of payment where I selected using a credit card which was easier for me. Half payment the norm and JP started to work on their schedule. Soon a truck showed up with supplies and both JP and the driver were good in asking where you wanted it placed in your driveway. JP called me saying his crew will show up the next day and looked like they were at another job site finishing up before showing up at my home mid day. But this crew was not tired for they immediately started removing the old siding boards. Before working I told them to do the side of the home where our DIRECTV satellite dish was mounted last, and they did. As they remove the old stuff the my installed the new siding. In a matter of a few days they replaced the siding. They also spend some time replacing rotted wood under the eaves. After each day they clean up there job site very good where they parked a trash trailer on the street. I could see the old boards and glad I was replacing with better stuff. The crew makes sure all the loose nails are picked up and the driveway is clear. Eventually the dish was taken down and unfortunately some parts were lost, but they did a great job working around a hole in back used for the outdoor speaker wires and a XM antenna wire. As the crew moved onto the next job the painters showed up. These guys work hard and prepped and painted the house in one day. I had an old can of painted from the last time I painted my home and they took it, and matched it perfectly. I was given a big container of leftover paint for future touch ups. Once again this crew cleaned up excellent. I still find some hidden nails in the yard like finding Easter eggs. The whole job took about 6 days. As for the satellite dish, they mounted the bracket but had to call my satellite guy to fix and calibrate the dish which JP Construction took care of the cost. You definitely pay what you get. The house looks great, and JP Construction and their crew did a fantastic job and truly recommend them.

Very smooth, professional process. A detailed proposal was provided so that there would be no question as to the work to be done. A schedule was provided which was adhered to. Worksite was kept neat and clean. Work performed exactly as proposed. No delays. We recommend this company and would hire again!

Project went exceedingly well. Took about a week or so and included painting/refinishing the front door and both garage doors. And, even threw in a new gutter. Could not be more pleased.

We have ZERO complaints. John and his crew were terrific. From our first interaction with him, when he came out to give us a quote with a day's notice, we knew he'd be good. John's quote wasn't the cheapest (we got about 5), but based on his professionalism and reviews, we chose him. His crew spent about 5 days replacing all of our siding (which isn't a lot since our house is mostly stone), fascia, and lining our soffit with tongue & groove pine. They then caulked, painted the siding, and stained the soffit. Everything looks incredible and the detail work is great. We definitely recommend John and his crew!

It was terrible. It was a very complicated thing, because the guy came out, he said that they don't do any job under $2500. I said I just wanted my front door painted and area above my garage painted. He said he would see what he could do to help me. He sent some guys over who I think were just from the neighborhood, I don't think they were part of his crew. The first thing they did was paint my front door, and totally ruined it. He bought me a new front door. The new door looks pretty good. I thought they had done a good job on the shutters until I took a closer look and that was poorly done as well. I just went and bought shutters and painted them myself. They didn't charge me more then the $199 of the big deal. He did replace the door, I didn't have to fight with him about it. The price was real good. He was professional. I would give the crew an F, they were horrible. I will not ever use them again. Update: There were some issues with the painting that was done originally and JP Construction willingly took care of the issue with the door. However, after closer examination of the shutters at a later date, I also found that paint job was unsatisfactory, but did not contact JP Construction because they had done me a favor by doing my job in the first place. When a negative review was seen by them that I had provided in response to a call from Angie's List, we worked together again to resolve the issue with the shutters, and everything has now been completed to my satisfaction and I am appreciative of that. It was very unfortunate that in attempting to do me a favor things went wrong, and I think both sides were dissatisfied with that. However, I am again happy to report that all issues have now been resolved.

Our work order for JPC was for all new windows (remove/install), tear down and haul away patio awing, remove and install all new JH Siding. JPC responded right away to give a timely estimate and an offer I couldn?t refuse. I paid 40 percent in and work got started in about 4-5 weeks as promised. I know construction enough to know it doesn?t always go smoothly. I am only mentioning the glitches because I think that a Contractor who addresses them with a fix or solution and doesn?t abandon the job is an Outstanding Contractor. A couple of days in, the AC kept blowing fuses. JPC foreman stayed on trying to trouble shoot and even tried to get Electrician out. JPC Electrician was not available, so we called one in. It was determined this was of NO fault of JPC Crew. It was a fluke it happened while the Crew was there, but I still appreciated Mike L trying to help, so his Client was not without AC in July. Seems our job was short a couple hundred square feet of Siding. Not sure if it was in measures or if Stack came in short unnoticed; but JPC got in what was needed and came back a few days later to complete the work. Found a nick that had happened during install of a board and it was replaced to satisfaction. Final Inspection: Crew missed a line of caulking, by now My Son, who oversaw the work had learned a lot about Siding and Water protection as he asked a bunch of Questions while the work was going on; JPC crews taught him well, so he knew caulking line was needed. JPC came right out and took care of it. I think the things we addressed were minor, there were no major issues, but I thought worth noting because I appreciated JPC response. Things happen in Construction. It just does, so you need a contractor that you can trust to get you through "surprises". We really didn't have any surprises, but JP Construction has earned a lot of Respect from me. Crew was on site for about a week. Each work day ended with a tidy clean up. Yes, I?ll call on them again as we have another house that will need new Siding and windows, but They didn?t know that when we hired for this job:)

It was a great experience working with Matt. I came by couple of times at my request to help me structure the work based on budget. everything went smooth except of a paint color confusion. They were prompt to come back and do it all over again very quickly. Very happy with the result. Would work with again. Very professional experience.

JP Construction did a fantastic job! The crew arrived early and worked late each day. Very hard working-- we were extremely impressed. The quality of the work was great, and the project manager was very helpful and responsive to our needs and questions. We would definitely hire them again.

I am a small business owner, and I pride myself on the 11 five-star reviews I have on Yelp. I literally can't imagine how JP Construction has put together such a consistent string of excellence, but they certainly work toward maintaining customer happiness at the highest level of work quality possible. For the work itself, my wife and I have a 1930's era home that had asbestos siding and old, single-paned windows. We wanted the siding and some of the windows replaced. The JP Construction crew arrived at 8 AM as promised on the first day of work around June 29th. They staked the claim that our siding would be removed and replaced within 24 hours and that, all told, the work would be done within a week. My wife and I shrugged and thought, "Well, there's a holiday next week, it's summer, and it's hot as h*** outside. If it takes longer, that's fine." By the following Saturday, our house looked brand new. We had new siding with two coats of midnight-blue paint, white trim, and new windows that, as promised, keep sound outside to a minimum. The work was done courteously, quickly, and efficiently. The respective siding, painting, and window teams that came to our home went about their business and worked through each day without missing a beat. My wife and I were dumbstruck every day we came home. We still are. We cannot recommend JP Construction highly enough. If you're looking for work done to the exterior of your house, you should call them directly. They'll answer any question you have with patience and they'll come by for second- and third-rounds of questions if you have them. Good luck with the work on your home! And do the wise thing. JP Construction removed old damaged siding from the entire back and upper sides of an extra tall two-story house with a TALL chimney, and replaced it with James Hardie Insulated Siding, and two coats of Sherwin Williams Resilience® Exterior Acrylic Latex Paint. The job was estimated to take about 4 days, depending on the weather. Matt Runyon made prompt contact with answers to my questions and a sample of the insulated siding. He worked with me to get the information the Home Owners Association requested enabling us to schedule the work quickly. Mike Long, the project manager, worked with me to determine the best paint colors to use, which I appreciated. I love the Sherwin Williams Resilience® Exterior Acrylic Latex Paint Honied White Satin paint that we chose as the main color. It really brightened up the exterior. After reading the reviews on that paint, I agree with the higher ratings. It did great despite several days of heavy rain during our schedule. The siding was delivered on time and the driver was very friendly. He placed the siding on the right side of my driveway, as had been agreed upon. The siding was protected from the weather with HardieWrap. Mike scheduled two crews to get the old siding down and the HardieWrap up to beat an expected heavy rain downpour. The crews arrived on time each day and worked extremely well together. You could really tell that they enjoyed working together and communicated very well. I was particularly impressed that their teams took scheduled breaks and lunch which allowed them to work quickly and efficiently. They were all very hard workers, and obviously “really knew their stuff”. They were at the house each day by 8 a.m. and left at 5 p.m. except when completing the paint job that had to be finished before rain came. There were 1 or 2 on-site team managers on site at all times. I was impressed that JP Construction valued their employees and it showed! Overall: The work was completed as promised, with a couple of days delay on completion due to heavy rain. They worked around the weather. Every member of the crews was polite and experienced. They cleaned up the area each day. Did everything they promised to do and more. Excellent job! Love the paint colors! I expect to give JP Construction my business in the future. I have several other projects in mind.

Once again, the JP team worked with excellent precision to ensure proper installation of the windows and door. Matt and Mike kept us informed of our order and coordinated an installation date with us. The workers arrived on the date specified and quickly started the work. We were quite impressed with all of the workers. Jesus, worked on the removal of the old door and installation of the new door, he did an outstanding job. All of the workers were courteous and polite. As always, we cannot give enough praise to Eddie who was the foreman during the construction and remained on site to assist with the installation. Eddie continually checked with us to ensure we were satisfied. One minor issue with the sliding glass door was quickly remedied by Eddie with the manufacturer. The site was cleaned, all scrap removed and all trim painted. We have now relied on JP Construction to perform work on our home on three occasions and are already thinking of our next project with them. JP is an outstanding company and we recommend them to all.

JP Construction did a GREAT job on my home. Matt initially came out to give a free estimate. He walked the entire house with me and discussed everything I wanted done to my home. He emailed me a proposal the very next day. Once we decided to move forward with JP construction, Matt put me in contact with Abel so that he could come out and measure our windows. Abel and his partner came into our home and did measurements on all our windows. They were in and out in about 30 minutes. Abel was great. He kept us informed on when we should expect our windows to be deliver. Abel and his partner did an excellent job installing our windows. They even replaced all of our window blinds and curtains after they were done. The siding crew worked very quickly and had the old siding down and started putting up the new siding on their 1st day on site. By the end of the week the siding was complete and ready to paint. The paint crew came out and painted the entire house, with 2 coats of Sherman Williams paint of our choice, in just 1 day. Everyone who came to our house was kind and courteous. You could tell that they took pride in their work and at the end of each day, they made sure that the entire work site was cleaned up. I am so happy we chose JP Construction. I feel like I have a new home. THANK YOU JP CONSTRUCTION!!!

The project was a success from start to finish. My work schedule can make communication difficult but Matt and the rest of the crew at JP Construction emailed or texted me to ask questions and gather information. The bid process was painless and quick, and the work was done as promised for the price we agreed upon. Every member of the crew was polite and there was no work mess left behind. I highly recommend JP Construction and will use them again.

I had three estimates from three different contractors. One was almost $10k more than the other two, even with the angieslist discount. I really liked Matt from JP, and the other contractor who's bid was close to JP's. Matt edged him out because, JP was an elite contractor for Hardie siding, and I liked the way he spoke to me about the project. Being a female, sometimes contractors don't necessarily think you know anything about construction.... Matt didn't talk down, and was patient when I explained what I wanted and showed him pictures of the designs I had for altering our front entry or had any questions. I like to ask a lot of questions, and have fun several remodeling projects for my old clients, so I'm very nit-picky about things. I was initially going to add shutters to the front windows, but after deciding on a darker paint color for the brick portion of our home, emailed him prior to the job and cut it out of the project. It wasn't an issue. Also, when we couldn't come up with a solution for the roof decking, they removed a portion of the bid from the estimate/signed contract, without even flinching. Not that they had to, because it wasn't their fault that the roof decking needed to be trimmed down. The guys working on the project (two teams) were great. Courteous and professional. They were on time and stayed late to ensure the job was completed within the estimated 3 days. I'd use them again and recommend them.

Jon and his crew did a pretty flawless job on our garage conversion. His was also the best price of all the bids. His workers are excellent. I highly recommend JP Construction.
