Description of Work: |Overall, the experience I had with JD Construction was excellent. I would use them again, and I would recommend their services. | |JD Construction provided much-needed reconstructive and refreshing services on my 2-story, 23-year-old home and shed, including replacing rotting wood, pressure washing the foundation and other concrete, and repainting the exterior of both the house and storage shed. | |There were a few hiccups along the way, but for each issue I had, there was a happy resolution. There were a couple times when work on my house was delayed due to a larger job elsewhere that took priority (apparently, my job was considered a small job). During this time, Todd was most of the time available by phone when I needed to discuss a concern. When the job was complete, there were several items that, on my inspection, were not accomplished in a quality manner. When I pointed these out to Todd, he had each and every one corrected to my complete satisfaction. | |There were areas in which the crews went above and beyond expectations: |1. The contract was to power wash the entire house, back patio, and basketball court. The men power washed every square inch of concrete, including the shed, driveway, and sidewalk. | |2. The contract was to paint the exterior painted areas of the house and shed (this included the chimney on my 2-story house). The door leading into the house from the garage also needed repainting of the new outside color, and Todd added that into the workload without additional charge. | |3. After the exterior of the shed was painted, I opened the shed door and realized that the interior of that door and the doorway were still the old color. When I pointed this out to Todd, he reminded me that the inside of the door wasn't on the contract, and the door had been locked and therefore inaccessible. I did leave the door unlocked after the job was signed off, and imagine my surprise to find the inside of the door and the doorway completely repainted, a few days later. That was a real bonus, because I thought I would have to do that part myself. | |4. When the back door was replaced, my security company needed to come in at a specific point during the reconstruction, to replace and rewire the sensors on the door and the doorway. The construction crew cooperated to allow that to happen. | |A year later, I am still extremely pleased with the work of JD Construction. I am embarrassed that it took me a year to write this review, because they deserved a great review much sooner than I wrote it.

Description of Work: Went beyond normal scope of work to find me the correct siding to match siding, damaged in hail storm. Secured product and installed it. Actually work was performed and completed early.

Description of Work: I would definitely use JP Construction again and recommend them to others. They replaced and painted the siding on our house in a timely manner. They cleaned up each day and pointed things out that they thought were important to consider repairing, which was very helpful.

Description of Work: The tear drop wood siding of our house was very much in disrepair and need of a complete overhaul. Not knowing the extent of the replacement required to bring our house back to "new", I solicited quotes from Hardie Plank siding contractors. JP Construction was one of those invited. They were very responsive and professional in their approach to the job. Their quote was fantastic and gave me great pause in not awarding them the job. Nonetheless, at the end of the day for basically for the reason that the wood replacement option was not as extensive as first feared, and the fact that Hardie could not quite replicate the "look" of the tear drop siding we preferred, we stayed with our wood siding.

Description of Work: I had contacted Jon earlier this year in regard to having the deck off my master bedroom enclosed and screened in. He has an award winning reputation for delivering a quality job. As I live in a community with architectural restrictions, I wanted someone who knows how to meet these restrictions. Once I had received my permit and posted it, Jon was contacted to commence with the project. Other than one or two items that had to be ordered, all of the materials needed for the project were in his inventory. I lived out of state, and was in the process of relocating. Jon was always in constant contact with me, with updates. He began the job October 2nd, I left my apartment on the 3rd. By the time I arrived at my house on the 4th, the job was finished. Other than roof shingles, the job was done. The roofer had arrived that morning and completed the job within a few hours. A JOB WELL DONE!!!!! My screened enclosure tight, even and all the caulking is smooth and even. I highly recommend JP Construction to meet your home improvement needs. His work is done by a skilled crew,getting the job done fast and professional. I plan on using their services on future home improvements. Again A JOB WELL DONE!!!

Description of Work: I contacted JP Construction via Angie's List looking for a bid on siding. Jon Polson responded within 10 minutes. I received bids from 5 contractors and selected JP Construction due to punctuality, professionalism, and reviews on Angie's List. JP Construction did the following work: replaced old cedar siding/trim with HardiePlank Lap Siding/HardieTrim; replaced the warped garage jam & headers; replaced water damaged portions cedar columns then wrapped with HardiTrim; rebuilt steps to deck; power washed and painted the house. The construction area was picked up each day.

They did a complete paint job and a little bit of roofing. |Gutters including an innovated drainage system were installed. |Work was extremely thorough. The job site was clean every night and at the end of the job. JP Construction responded to all our concerns during the job and was a total reassuring company to deal with. We will use them in the future and recommend wholeheartedly to others.

Description of Work: This guy really smoked it. I was out of town and my wife dealt with the details. He showed up on Monday and the whole job was done Thursday by 6:00. We're talking residing the house with Hardiboard, two coats of painting, and gutters on front and side. I returned on Friday and my house looked GREAT! We are going to use him to remodel a bathroom for our next project. I didn't see it happen but the results speak for themselves.

Description of Work: Called and spoke with owner Jon Polsonon phone and we agreed upon a time for him to come do a bid on siding repair for my house. Mr. Polson showed up only 10 minutes after he said he would, made his measurements and told me he would call in a couple days with their estimate. It is now eight days later and no call has come from JP Construction; not even a professional courtesy call to say something like, "We're sorry, sir, but we cannot take your job because it's not profitable for us" (another AL biz quoted me less than $1000, their review is forthcoming!): but from Noah's Ark, NOTHING. I would respect such a call. This company's total avoidance of a professional completion on even a bid is the calling card they left behind and is herewith being reported to Angie's Listers. Their failure to call describes to me a lack of committment to their customers and raises into question their honesty that potential customers perhaps should expect similar service from this business. I have no confidence or respect in this sort practice, whatsoever. This is the 2nd company from Angie's List to do this.
