We had used this company two previous times and it went fairly well. This job was the biggest to date. The owner Mike visited the job before the start of work and made assurances that he would personally oversee the job. He was never on the job site during performance of the work. The two employees performing the work initially did a good job but their attitudes got worse with every additional day. When the job was wrapping up they were asked when they were going to insulate around the doors and windows and I was informed that they didn't have a product for those small areas. When I contacted the owner he also informed me that his company no longer insulates around doors and windows because of previous expansion issues and bowing problems with door jambs and window frames. This was never mentioned in the bid or on his visit to the job site. I was forced to finish the details of the insulation with another company. He offered a discount to the bill that was inadequate to cover the additional cost. He also left harassing messages on my cell phone. The company was paid within 3 days of completion but never returned to clean off overspray that was all over the columns and beams of the house. As noted in the ratings their pricing is very competitive but in my case I would have been better off paying more and having a complete job performed correctly the first time.

It went well. I was pleased with the service and the individuals performing the work. I would try it again. The only drawback is that I have yet to see any visible change in by electric usage. This confounds me as I know they did a correct and proper application to the best of my knowledge after researching the technique on the net. Truth be told I also installed new window at a different time and that did not help either. Apparently has to do with the shading.
Description of Work: Installed foam in the attic sealing all exterior vents etc.

Michael was very professional, and showed up to give us a quote on the same day we spoke to him on the phone. He took time to explain how the spray foam works, how it is installed and what we needed to do to prepare for the installation. He was courteous, friendly and professional, and we hired his company to do the work. His crew had some mechanical difficulty with their equipment on the first day, but they immediately let us know what was going on and how long it would take to repair the equipment. The installation crew did a great job and were communicative, professional and polite at all times. The installation crew cleaned up after the job was finished, and we are very happy with the foam insulation install and with the dramatic lower temperatures in our attics after the work was done. The job took a full two days after their equipment was repaired. The only negative we noticed was the chemical reaction the spray foam undergoes as it's curing; it left a plastic smell in the house for about two days, but it was manageable and not overwhelming. We would highly recommend Mike Linn of Investofoam and his crew for installation of spray foam insulation.
Description of Work: Called Investofoam after reading about the benefits of foam insulation over batt or spray insulation. Michael Linn came out to our house the same day we called, and he inspected and measured both attics (one over the main house, one over the garage). He explained how the spray foam insulation works and how it will affect the heat resistance and retention in the attic and the living areas of our 40-year-old home. He also explained that we needed to seal the gable vents and the turbine vents in the attics and how that would affect the heating and cooling in the living areas.
