Cutting Corners Inc., doing business as Interior Fabrics Austin, is your one-stop shop decorative fabric outlet store. Founded in 1976, this family owned company continues to provide interior decorators, fashion designers and avid do-it-yourselfers with quality products, unbeatable prices, and excellent customer service. While we do specialize in fabrics of every color and texture, that’s not all we have to offer. We carry a wide selection of pillow forms, as well as custom furniture products such as sofa, chair, ottoman and headboard frames. Additionally, we have everything you need to create beautiful window treatments for your home, including trim, tassels and hardware made of iron and wood. We are also proud to offer a beautiful line of quality area rugs, including traditional Persian styles, contemporary and shag, which compliment any home decor. What makes us unique is that we avoid the middleman and skip excess mark-ups by buying directly from the mills. This allows you to buy quality products without paying astronomical prices. We also feel that your money should be spent on product, and product alone, which is why the appearance of our store remains humble, not flashy. All items can be found in our retail store, with fabrics and rugs available for online purchase as well. Description of Work: They have great fabrics at great prices and I went to find fabric for upholstery. Both times I found a suitable fabric and they ordered it for me. As promised it arrived at my home within 3 days. They keep suggestions as to who to use in town for upholstering and they also offer furniture purchase with your own selection of fabric. I have used them many times in the past and will continue to use them. They have a large. clean showroom.

I love this place. They cut out the middleman and can sell custom made furniture for 1/2 the cost of what you would pay at Norwalk Sofa and Chair, Calico Corners and other custom furniture places. The loveseat and sofa cost maybe $100-$200 more than what I would pay at a furniture place, such as Havertys. You get to choose your fabric, style of furniture and it is all warranted for 2-3 years. They don't deliver however, you would need to pick it up yourself and pay to have it delivered. We have had numerous compliments on the furniture and how comfortable it is.
Description of Work: They sell top of the line fabrics at a discount along with various styles of furniture. We had them make a loveseat and sofa in April 2006.
