+ -1 moreHe did a good job but they were pretty expensive. The work took about 10-12 hours to complete. The work he did was very professional. Their responsiveness was poor but he was on time for the appointment.

Description of Work: My appointment was with Dr. Tom Daniel for dizziness and shortness of breath. He is alright. My problems are with the staff and office policies. They do not want phone calls. Only one staff member returned a few of many phone calls. They do not want e-mails, they want a "PAPERLESS OFFICE," so they REQUIRE FAXES. Why is not an e-mail more "paperless" than a fax? My faxes to them have never been answered. My appointments were made when their office called me and told me a certain date that Dr. Daniel would be available and asked me if I would see him on that date. I saw Dr. Daniel for years when he had his own office, and I was disappointed when he closed that office. I was glad to find him again with House Call Doctors. I still consider Dr. Daniel to be a good doctor, but he said his "pay grade was not high enough" to make changes in office staffing or procedures.

+ -1 moreAfter a few phone calls from House Call Drs I was encouraged but they did not call back or show up. I am going to talk to "an older" group that meets and explain what happened to me. I am calling my Credit card company to advise them not to put through any charges to that group. I was really surprised at the good response initially and then the complete silence on the other end near the time for the appointment. After telling my friends about it they asked me if I had checked Angie's List. I was upset with myself as I am the one always talking about Angies List! I will never again do anything withour Angie's list. I was fooled by the 'Senior Fair" letting them in I guess. I will not do that again. I am telling all my contacts in Austin about my experience. I talked to Chiristy and gave her all my information at 512-288-0859 ext 5163. She told me "Jackie" would call me back with the time of the appointment. So much for that.
Description of Work: I called earlier in the week and they took all my medical insurance information and my CREDIT CARD number. They said a Dr would be at my home on July 12th and they would call me later to tell me the time. I called them on Thursday afternoon but could not get a call back after leaving a message. I called Friday morning, could not get through and left a message about am or pm arrival. At Noon I sent them an e-mail saying I guess it was going to be in the afternoon. I sat in my home from 9:00 until 5:00pm without a call or visit. Now I am just worried thay have all my health insurance information AND my credit card number. I am so sorry I did not check Angie's list. I found them at a Senior Fair but will no longer do anything without checking Angie's List. I will also adise any Senior groups that may have them there again what my experience was. That was last Friday and as of today the following Wednesday I still have not heard from them nor do I ever want to. Just upset I trusted them with my personal information.

+ -1 moreOverall they are competent people who seem to have too much workload or they just are not driven workers who haven't realized that the work they do affects people's lives.
Description of Work: The treatment at home gas been good, yet rushed. DO ask questions and make sure they are up to date on what happened to you when they sent you to a specialist. DO call the office to make sure that the office staff has completed the referrals that were ordered for you during your visit. Also, I have found (after never getting a return) that speaking to a manager is always productive.

+ -1 moreThe only time the doctor actually came to see her was when she complained about the service from the nurses. Then he came to talk her into staying with the service. The last straw was when she forgot to take some medication on a vacation trip. We called House call to get a few days of her medication called into a local pharmacy near where we were staying. They called back four days later and as yet the message had not been conveyed to the doctor. Not worth the price.
Description of Work: My 95 year old mother selected this service and used it for a couple years.

+ -1 moreMy mother likes that with them doing home health care, it eliminates her trying to strain herself when she already is immobile. They are really caring and understanding doctors. They are highly board certified and trustworthy type of people. They process all of the insurance for you. They do mobile x-rays and EKGs. They basically can do anything that a full-service hospital can do, with the elimination of leaving home and waiting in the office and such.
Description of Work: I have a doctor from this company that goes to my mother's home to do a routine check-up and refill any medications. They check to see how she is doing as far as her health and well being.
