+ 0 moreWe had a series of problems, particularly with conflicting doors. There was a door into the laundry room, & just inside there was another door to pantry & a plywood cover over the water heater. We removed the first door because we wanted to join the rooms together. Replaced the pantry door with a bi-fold, louvered door & hung a door on the water heater cabinet. Put in Kraftmaid cabinets, upper & lower on the right & only upper on the left with the Washer/Dryer below. It is beautiful & I continue to get compliments on everything. It is a lighter, brighter, comfortable room. Even when we ran into a problem Home Tec Services were easy to deal with. Kraftmaid sent the wrong size cabinet that went over the refrigerator. Upon finishing this project, I had Mr. Baumgartner build a beautiful 700 square foot "diagonal" deck along 2 sides of my home. A 13' by 13' Pergola/Arbor over a portion near the dining room door. It is spectacular. Deck was $8,500. Great job.
Description of Work: Completely gutted my kitchen, removed door into laundry room & incorporated it into the kitchen. Switched out a conflicting door to the pantry & put on bi-fold door, therefore expanding space to better use & flow. New Kraftmaid cabinets, all new appliances, large porcelain sink, faucet with Whirlpool Microwave with vent & modernized lighting. Since I do not have windows in my kitchen, we created a beveled edge, lead glass cabinet above the sink with a clear glass bottom & installed halogen light that shines down through the cabinet that holds crystal glasses. A unique design used & created accent lighting. Home Tec Services did a beautiful job & allowed me to have creative input. Mr. Baumgartner finished on time, was very easy to work with, & came in on budget. I have recommended him to many people. I have continued to use Home Tec Services with the confidence that my projects being done well & on time.

+ 0 moreTom Baumgarten and his company, Home Tec Services K & B, are outstanding in every way. Tom takes great pride in his work and well he should. He is a perfectionist, yet his prices are quite reasonable. Tom listens to what his clients want and follows through to the letter. He has always accommodated our schedule, he keeps his work place neat, and pays attention to the detail. We have used Tom's services for over 10 years and have never been disappointed. We now consider him not just our contractor and "go-to" guy for any house repair or remodel we need, but also our good friend!
Description of Work: Home Tec Kitchen & Bath installed a new tile shower floor after pulling up the old one. This was just one of many, many projects that Tom Baumgarten (principal of Home Tec K & B) has successfully completed for us over the last 10 years. Past projects included a significant remodel of 3 bathrooms, kitchen remodel, new cabinetry for a closet rebuild, and general contracting for a new roof to name a few.
