+ -1 moreI had my architect forward the CAD files for the site plan well in advance of when they would need the information. I should have known that there was something awry when I started emailing to confirm that they had received the CAD and never got a response. I had the architect send the information again. We got no response to the inquiry whether they had received the CAD previously. Subsequent to this, I called and emailed the company several times to remind them of when I was going to be in town and that I was counting on this work to be completed so that I could schedule and conduct my meetings with sub-contractors. When I arrived in town, the work had not been completed. I spent two more days attempting to contact surveyor about the work. I was finally told in email without explanation I would have to find another surveyor. I was really left in a bind over this. This all could have been avoided if they had been professional enough to tell me they couldn't get to the work.
Description of Work: We have used this surveying company several times to handle things like subdividing property, creating topographic and tree surveys for our property and had been satisfied with their services. They were recently contacted to do an additional piece of work to locate the footprint of the house we plan to build as well as the pool that we are looking to build. They were contacted 6 weeks in advance of when we were looking to have this done. They agreed to do the work and felt that the timeframe I gave them to complete the work was adequate. I needed this work completed on a certain date to conduct on-site meetings with potential sub-contractors. I live out of town (4 hours away) and needed this all to come together while I was in town. The company agreed to do the work. They assured me during that conversation that they could complete the work before I was scheduled to be in town.
