I am very pleased with my experience with Steve and his crew at Hill Country Cleaning Authority. When I set up the initial appointment for him to come to my home for an evaluation in order to quote me a price, it was a great one as he was very personable and a good businessman that has a 100% satisfaction guarantee on his Company's services. It was also what sold me on his services rather than Molly Maid, whom came earlier that day to give me an evaluation and price quote (which was also higher-- and I felt as though they offered the same services). We set up the first cleaning for that very day, and he even gave me a free inside fridge cleaning for being flexible and letting them come clean my home that day & on such short notice. The first cleaning was fantastic-- and I had originally set-up a cleaning every 4 weeks but liked it so much that I changed to bi-weekly!! The next three cleanings were good, but not as good as the first because it was different crews (so they were new to my house and didn't know the ropes yet..but I'm sure would have gotten better over time) and the first cleaning is a VERY detailed clean. However, when I voiced my opinion that I liked the team that cleaned the first time, he was able to schedule that team to come every time (bi-weekly). I am very pleased with the quality of work for the price... They leave a document showing you what they did that day and what they will do next time, so you have a checklist to make sure it was all done, and they also sometimes leave a little cake-ball as a 'thank you', which is delicious! Like their slogan states..."Life is too short to clean your own house".... SO TRUE. Thanks Steve and his team!!
Description of Work: Bi-weekly house cleanings starting on 3/3/13.

3 BR 2.5 B house, but only 1 bedroom needed cleaning. The house was cleaned, there were only a couple of details that were missed but the list of services they would not do was too high for the high price. $160 for a 2200 sq ft house should have cleaned the entire house spotless, instead of requiring a second visit at $160 to do so. $100 per week is 30% higher than we were paying previously, and we were receiving more services for the money. Overall, I would use the service again if it weren't for the price and the policy of requiring 2 detail cleanings before the normal rates. The detail cleanings were not more enhanced than a normal cleaning would be. I will be looking for a more economical alternative instead.
Description of Work: Clean inside residence, with special attention to bathrooms and bedrooms.

Steven the owner came to our home to evaluate the job to be done and to understand our expectations. He then set up a crew to come in on Saturday. Steven even capped the maximum charges to three hours. He agreed not to charge more then three hours($80.00 per hour) even if it took more. Well, it took four hours, he didn't need me to remind him of the cap as he reminded me. Upon their arrival (9:30am) they went right to work, from ceiling to floors, literally. Four hours later the place looked brand new, Faboush, thank you Steven and Ladies.
Description of Work: Clean my home from ceiling to floors and everything in between. That says it all.

Overall performance was fair at best. One day their vacuum cleaner was broken. I loaned them mine..... that was the day My dresser damaged along with my vacuum cleaner. I reported this and I ask several times afterward but never a word about my damage. Dishonest "STEVE" never made any attempt to check my damage. It was if it never happened to him. I could have refused to pay money owed him but I was a fool and believed that he would do his part. We will see him in court. It is a shame what this world is coming to. I only hope that writing my experiences will save someone the problems and theft I have experienced.
Description of Work: The representative "Steve" lied and stole money from my credit card. NEVER trust these people with you credit card. Steve charged and over charged several times .... with NO permission but to charge $25.00. I was fraudulently charged 3 separate charges of between $ 109.00, $ 247.00 and $189.19. I made the mistake of telling him I had cancer which effects my recall. I wound a web of deceit like a spider. This man is not only a liar and thief ... he is " Mr. Fraud". If you have any sense at all , never do business with this man or this Company. They take advantage of you and steal every chance possible. My dresser was damaged and I was promised it would be repaired. Steve was more worried about the 25.00 dollars I owed him. (and paid him) than he was about my dresser. He never looked at it. I thank God that my bank is in my favor and all money Steve charged was returned. In my opinion "STEVE" is a stake waiting to strike you and all his talk is dishonest lies.

Response from Hill Country Cleaning Authority
Concisely, there is virtually nothing in this former customers “review” that is even remotely accurate. Indeed, on, 1.29.2013 @ 12:17 AM (member name removed) sent me the following text: “If you come to my house you’ll get hurt.” I can only imagine at 12:17 AM what may have prompted that comment. There was another nearly as ridiculous text rant on, 1.28.2013, which closed with, “…. And I will give you a blazing at Angie’s list and at yelp your punk!” My last conversation with the former customer was on, 1.24.2013. • (member name removed) signed a Cleaning Agreement on, 12.11.12 calling for a weekly house cleaning at a price of $75.00 (plus sales tax) per week. We were to commence cleaning on, 12.19.12. When we showed up to clean, no one answered the door and we were effectively, “locked out.” We charged the customer $37.50 exactly as entitled under §19 of our Cleaning Agreement. • We were scheduled to clean again on, 12.26.12, but the former customer cancelled/rescheduled at the last moment, when I contacted him by phone. He was not charged for the cancellation/reschedule. We were paid $81.19 via ck #095 on, 12.28.12, when we cleaned. • We cleaned (member name removed) home again on, 1.3.13, and were again paid $81.19 via ck #096. The job on this day was also inspected for quality and thoroughness by my senior inspector. • On 1.7.13, (member name removed) left a rambling seemingly incoherent message re: some undetermined damage to some furniture. I followed up with phone calls on 1.7 and 1.8.13 requesting a picture of the damage but was never provided an image. I followed up with an e-mail on 1.9.13, “…I want to come out to visit as soon as possible so I may inspect your damage. I have left several messages and don't want to be a pest. If you have a moment please call me at the number captioned below...” Over the next 10 days I twice drove to his home although no one answered the door. Only through this “review” did I learn of the additional alleged damage to his vacuum. To the best of my knowledge, as sworn by my cleaners, we never used his vacuum and our vacuum was never out-of-commission. From, 1.7.13, through, 1.24.13, I continued to attempt to contact the former customer to arrange for a time when I could inspect the alleged damage. He never responded. • On, 1.10.13, we were scheduled to clean the customer’s home but once more the customer cancelled at the last moment. We charged (member name removed) $25.00 precisely as called out in §18 of the Cleaning Agreement. • On, 1.17.13, we cleaned the customer’s home. We were not paid nor did we charge a late fee as entitled under §16 of our Cleaning Agreement. • On 1.21.13 after repeated calls, e-mails and text messages to the former customer, (member name removed)provided me a Visa debit card to charge in order to, “bring his balance current.” I agreed to only charge $106.19 providing he did not have any further lock out’s or cancellations for the next 60 days. After which time, I would forgive the original $37.50 lock out charge. • On, 1.24.13, we again attempted to clean (member name removed)home but were turned away at his door. When I spoke with him later that evening he belligerently asserted that he was on a bi-weekly schedule and that he didn’t owe me anything. I responded that his Cleaning Agreement did indeed call for weekly cleaning and we were now owed a balance of $75.00. He again, responded with increasing belligerence “I wasn’t, expletive deleted, getting anything.” I responded that I didn’t think this was the basis for an ongoing business relationship and felt it best to terminate our cleaning services. After the phone call I charged his Visa debit card $75.00 (re: attached transaction history), e-mailed him a copy of the charge and terminated service. Date Charge Substantiation Payment Method Balance 12.19.2012 $37.50 Lock out fee $0.00 None $37.50 12.28.2012 $81.19 Cleaning ($81.19) Ck 095 $37.50 1.3.2013 $81.19 Cleaning ($81.19) Ck 096 $37.50 1.10.2013 $25.00 Cancellation fee $0.00 None $62.50 1.17.2013 $81.19 Cleaning $0.00 None $143.69 1.21.2013 PD payment ($106.19) Visa DC $37.50 1.24.2013 $37.50 Lock out fee ($75.00) Visa DC $0.00 I can’t even imagine where (member name removed) is getting the amounts asserted in his “review.” He cites an approximate cost of $743.00 which doesn’t tie off to anything. The individual charges he cites of $109.00, $247.00 and $189.19 are simply fiction and also don’t tie off. The transaction history I’ve shown above is true, complete and accurate. The complete and total charges run through BB&T against (member name removed) debit card are shown below. None of these charges have been reversed by the bank.
