They came over within several hours of my call to prepare an estimate. Scheduled the work the following week. They arrived on time and made the repairs in approximately 2 hours. They were very clean and professional. I will use them again if needed.

He was on time and did a great job. Texture looked exactly like texture should and not like the mess that was on the walls before.

I have used John H. and his crew in the past due to his fair pricing and excellent workmanship. When I called John, he was able to come out to give me an estimate that day and also helped me out by allowing me to do the demo work to save some money. On the day the work was performed, as expected, John H. and his helper were prompt, courteous, and very professional. They were careful in their prep-work to cover all surfaces and the work turned out amazing as usual. Afterward, they even offered to haul away the trash from when I demo'd the room! I highly recommend these guys!

Wonderful service. So, we have been trying to find a drywall repair person for months with absolutely no luck. Either they just did not show up,or their their estimate was just too high. So, I joined Angie's List and John was the first company I contacted. He responded immediately and came out the same day to give us an estimate. He was knowledgeable and gave us a very fair estimate. He came out the NEXT day and completed the repairs. My ceiling and walls look great! Would definitely hire him again.

I called John on a Sunday, and he answered the phone. He came by on Tuesday to look at the area needing repair & promptly gave me a quote. He came by Thursday right on time as scheduled. They prepped the area very professionally, and completed the work in about 2 hours. They did a wonderful job! The work area is clean and the ceiling space repaired is better than new! This provider came out for us very quickly and replaced all of the drywall and insulation in our house. They did this in a very timely manner and at a very reasonable price. They were very professional. They cleaned up after themselves at the end of each day and I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Did not feel that the provider would do a good job due to the rigging advice he provided me, with a fairly simple task. I asked him how to fix the nails that pop out of my walls and he stated I could just hammer them back in. What! He mentioned nothing about using drywall screws to fix the issue, like the first contractor. He also had a nonchalant attitude about the work. Felt like he was trying to make the work too easy.

It went perfectly! John was on time and prepared to make repair with a helper. He was polite and neat. Job well done!

John and his assistants did everything that I asked for, and then some. Their work is so professional, you would think that it was new construction. They left the ceilings perfectly smooth, and matched the texture on the walls exactly. I had framed in above the cabinets as well, and their corners and edges are so sharp, it looks like the kitchen was originally built that way. On top of all that, John patched an additional hole in the wall at no charge, and left my house and the garage cleaner than they were before he started. His prices are extremely competitive, especially considering the market for skilled labor in Austin, and I would highly recommend him to any of my friends or family. In fact, I'll probably be calling him soon for some more work.

John Hernandez responded personally to my phone call and came to my home the same day to give me a quote. He then came the following week to start work. His crew was friendly, on time, and neat. Popcorn removal is a mess and they left everything clean! While the guys were working, I went around the house filling in nail holes. There were lots in each room. I planned on painting them myself and then John told me his guy would just do that for me as well! What a treat! This team was on time, efficient, and did a great job. I highly recommend Hernandez Drywall!

John and his worker showed up on time. John worked there himself in the morning and then his worker finished up. He worked late to get the job done. I found John flexible and easy to work with and was a great value. I would definitely use him again.

They were very professional and clean. The doors turned out great.

He answered when I called, told him what I needed done, and came by early the next morning. We agreed upon a price and the job was completed by the end of the day. Excellent customer service, as well as quality of the work.

He did a great job! You can't tell there was any work done in that spot. And he was able to provide the service the same day I contacted him. I felt his price was very reasonable so I am planning on having him back to take care of a hole in my Master Bedroom Closet left behind from the removal of a utility box when I replaced my hardwired security system with a wireless system.

John (the owner) was very responsive, courteous, and prompt. He personally did much of the work which I thought was very good quality. He did a thorough cleanup job. All in all, very satisfied.

So, my initial conversations with John Hernandez were great. He assured me that he and I quote: "was not the kind of guy that needed to be watched over". Initially I didnt understand why he was telling me that but now I know. I hired John to hang 5/8ths drywall in a small 510 sq ft guest house that I am building on my property. It's new construction. The contract I signed with John stated that he would hang the drywall to a "smooth finish". In other words, to a FLAT finish. This is a harder finish to achieve because there is no texture. Nevertheless, the final job was absolutely terrible. Whatever his workers did left my walls with extensive raised rough patches, hollow bubbles, chipped corners, raised tape lines among other obvious defects. One of the most egregious flaws was the raised and hardened mud left around the ceiling light in my kitchen pantry. The flaw is so patently obvious that the only conclusion I can draw is that his workers didnt think anyone would ever look UP. After my GC contacted (this was my hire, not my GC's) him to see if he would come back out to make it right, he proceeded to give him some song and dance about how he was "easing his way out of the drywall business" and apparently, into the bar business. Here's the deal...stuff happens. Guys make mistakes. But it is entirely reasonable to expect your drywall contractor to make it right. John has declined to do so and, for that reason alone, I would highly recommend that you think long and hard about hiring his services. I will be posting this review on Yelp, Google, BBB and any other available online forums for the protection of future homeowners.

I contacted john several times wanting him to come out and estimate how much it would be to patch up work done by the electrical workers and some holes in the wall. The first time we spoke he was quite short with me,and explained that i can call him sunday and talk about the job and he will come out. I called him again the following week,explained when the workers would be done and if he could out a certain day. Both times refused to set an exact day and time with me and told me call him another day. Next phone call went the same way,asked him if he could leave the 20th open for me so he could come do the job, and he agreed that the day would be open. When i called the of 20th, He simply said he was not availible at this time and to call him next week sometime, upset as i was, I explained to he said he would leave this day open for me and that we have been talking for weeks, simply put his response was "i dont have time for small jobs". Disappointed.

We had some windows installed recently but had been putting off having a couple of them finished after the frame needed work from a separate contractor to finish them up. Finding a drywall contractor had proved difficult - I called several but was not impressed with the responses I got. After picking the project up again, I tried calling John Hernandez after seeing positive reviews here on AL and he was very helpful and readily said he could come and give an estimate. When John arrived he was very professional and gave a bid that I felt was fair for both the repair and painting. He was also able to start the work very quickly - within two days! The work was completed as promised and we are very, very pleased with the quality. The drywall patching, texturing, framing, and painting were all excellently performed. I'm happy to recommend John and his company to others. I was extremely pleased with the work and his company and they will be the first company I contact for any work like this in the future.

John was punctual, professional and efficient. The work was done as requested and top quality. Much appreciated and would use him again in a heartbeat.

Everything went exceptionally well! It was a small project, and some contractors would have treated it as less important than their larger projects. But John and his crew made it their top priority. They did an excellent job! Everything went very well without a single problem. They showed up every day when planned and completed the job a little ahead of schedule. They cleaned up afterwards. The end result was great! Everyone who has seen it says how great it looks. The cut around the AC was so good that it didnt require trim! I highly recommend John and his crew.

These guys were great. I put up the drywall but it was well worth the money to have these guys finish it. I would have spent hours just sanding my work and these guys are so good no sanding was needed. Very quick responce and arrived on time. Definitely going in my rolodex.
