John, the owner, answered my call on 06/10/13. He provided me an estimate over the phone. John and an assistant showed up the next day and completed the job. The patches were done very well. They cleaned their mess and charged me my estimated cost. I would use John again and would recommend them to anyone who needs drywall work.

They were fantastic. I called him Monday afternoon and he showed up Tuesday morning. Quick response. Great guy. Very personable.

Hernandez Drywall did an excellent job on my living room. They were very responsive and easy to work with on schedule. They came in a did a very professional job repairing the wall and even matched the texture as a bonus. Great people!!

They did a wonderful job. The price was right for all the work they did was excellent. They covered the floors and windows. I am very happy with the service and would use them again.

John and his crew arrived by 7:45 AM both days they were on site. They took great care to protect my hardwood floors and all of my furniture by putting plastic over all furniture and paper over the floors. I really appreciate the great care they took of my home while they were here. The first day they hung all the fiberglass board in the bathroom, created my niche in the shower and made a small closet in between the studs in my bathroom. I knew getting storage in this small bathroom was a long shot but John made it happen and it looks great! They also prepared all of the cracks in my ceiling and walls for mudding the next day. The 2nd day they taped, floated and re-textured all of the patches to match the existing texture. John and his crew were so nice to work with, they were very professional, took really good care of my house and did a fantastic job! They also went out of their way to remove some construction trash I had accumulated from ripping the bathroom to the studs prior to hiring them. I was having difficulty finding a way to discard of the destruction trash and John offered to take it to his dumpster for me. I don't know any other contractor who would go out of their way to help you with something they were not responsible for. If you want to hire a responsible, on time, caring and goes out of their way contractor for customer satisfaction then hire John! I am so happy with their work and my house looks beautiful now!

It went very well. The Henandez crew arrived on time and were ready to get on with the job immediately. They covered the floor (plywood!) with "building paper" to reduce the amount of mess. They hung the drywall very efficiently using screws (mostly) not nails. The second day, they came and did most of the taping and floating and came back on the third day to finish off the job. They left the jobsite clean with very little that we had to clean up. All in all a job well done. The price was not the cheapest, but I would recommend them to anyone looking for a good, honest drywall company.

We had water damage to our dining room ceiling and needed an area approximately 18"x24" repaired. John returned my call right away and scheduled a time that was convenient for me to meet at the house for an estimate. John was right on time, very professional and courteous. John did an excellent drywall repair/texture job. I'm very happy with his work and would definately recommend him to anyone and will certainly use his services in the furture if necessary. Excellent service. Mr. Hernandez answered the phone himself and told me he was out of town and would call back later that evening, which he did. Stated he would be out the next day for an estimate and he came as stated. We sat up a date and told me he would call the day before to let me know the time. He actually came by the day before schedule and stated he had time to do it then if it would fit my schedule, I was absolutely delighted! They started immediately and were finished within a few hours. As we are packing to move this was such a big help to have the repairs done a day early. Mr. Hernandez and his assistant Eduardo were both very professional and very helpful in explaining everything they were doing. It was a very pleasant experience. My husband and I agree we will definitely use them again when needed. I had previously had a quote of $800 for the repair and Mr. Hernandez did it for nearly half that quote! I would highly recommend them to everyone needing any dry wall services.

I called Mr. Hernandez, who promptly answered the phone (no answering machine, no non-answered phone, no phone tag here--phone is answered). He asked several questions about the job and our availability. Following our conversation, he asked me to text him the information we had discussed about location and time for an in-home estimate. When that time came, Mr. Hernandez arrived promptly--I think he gave us a two hour window, and he was there within the first hour. He looked at the job, provided an estimate and established a repair time within the week. In all, the turn around from my initial phone call to completion was less than 5 days! No waiting through 5-6 hour windows for someone that shows up in hour 7, no cancellation last minute, no waiting 1-2 weeks for an estimate. So many contractors and repair people can't grasp the fundamentals of customer service, I was just blown away by Hernandez Drywall. And customer service is only one of the fine qualities of this company. The work itself was beyond excellent, the company takes pride in their work! He and his colleague arrived ON TIME, prepared the areas that needed patching, placed plastic sheeting to protect the unaffected areas and floors, patched, matched and applied texture, and cleaned up. They were in and out in about 2.5 hours. After the patches dried, we were hard pressed to identify where the holes were--that's how good the work was. No weird seems, dents, or texture, no funky curves in the middle of the wall. It was as if nothing ever happened. Hernandez Drywall is prompt, professional, and cost efficient. We felt the charges for materials and labor were more than fair given the job they did. This was an outstanding experience. John and his crew were very polite, neat and careful. They arrived on time, setup their tools and proceeded to work with a minimum of delay. They took the extra time to completely mask and protect the existing areas (this was a re-model/add-on) and left the masking for the follow on painting! They were all friendly and neat and I was most impressed with the quality of their tools and their knowledge and skills. Outstanding work! This company is to be highly recommended!

Mr. Hernandez was very professional, as was his crew. He came to look at the job exactly when he said he would, scheduled the work for the day I requested, and performed the work for the quoted price. The crew arrived on time and completed the work promptly. The quality of the sheetrocking, tape and floating, and patching was excellent. I would use Hernandez Drywall any time I need drywall work.

John came to bid on the work. He walked through the job with me to make sure we were on the same page, and quoted me a price before he left. We scheduled the work for soon after the estimate was given. He was very responsive and professional and made a good effort to find all the areas that needed work. The price may have been a little high for the time and supplies required, but I am not complaining. The ease of doing business with John was worth a little extra.

He actually took care of all of this in only 4 hours and matched the walls perfectly! The matches really were pretty dead on. He was on time and upfront about his avaialability. (It only took him 4 days from when I called him to come perform the work, which is not bad at all.) While at my house, he was kind enough to tolerate my two small dogs. He also retextured some ceiling cracks that needed attention. he did this still within the 4 hours and did not charge extra. He was great and I will use him again!

I will say this, I've dealt with a lot of contractors before, but I've never been so impressed with the professionalism of a crew. First of all, John and his crew understood the timeline we were working with, so they showed up early to get started on the job. Usually when a contractor says "first thing", I think "oh brother, 9 or 10am". Not here - 7:15am. These guys finished before they said they would, and on budget. Even more than that, the work is incredible. I had some painters over to paint the drywall repairs and even those guys went on and on about how good the work looks. It's been a week and I can't even tell where the holes were. I won't even consider using someone else for drywall, these guys were awesome.

The job went extremely well. John and his men arrived promptly and immediately got on with the job. The drywall was hung in one day (Friday). They returned early on Monday to tape and float the drywall, and the job was completed on the Tuesday with sanding and priming. The work was completed in an efficient manner by a crew who worked well together and appeared to have pride in their work. They put down floor protection before starting the job and cleaned up after their work, removing all drywall scraps.

John Hernandez called me back within 30 minutes after I left a message on his phone. He gave me a quote over the phone based on my description of the area (football-sized hole in the wall) to be repaired. He scheduled the drywall repair for the following morning. John arrived on time, was professional, friendly, and efficient. He charged exactly what he quoted and gave advice about when and how to paint the patched area, which looks great.

John is a very professional contractor. He is quick to respond to calls, has reasonable estimates, and shows up when he says he will. Best of all, he does good work and if you are not completely satisfied he will quickly come back and fix it. I definitely recommend him and will use him again.

Great on time arrival for estimate and they arrived on time the day of the job. Crew was professional and they prepared the areas with plastic and floor coverings. Very professional. I would use them again.

I am rehabbing a house and needed to remove all of the drywall to replace electrical and plumbing. John took the house from studs to looking like a real house in just 7 days. He started on Thursday morning and was finished by the next Thursday afternoon. When he was short on materials he would let me know and get the ok to purchase them. I didn't have to go get them myself. This was a huge help!! I will definitely use Hernandez Drywall again!

We had a great experience with John and his crew. We are renovating three rooms: a bedroom, bathroom, and living room, plus two closets, a stairwell, and a small hallway). The renovation including moving a wall and removing some existing drywall to fix some termite and water damage. Also, we added some new recessed lights, moved or added a dozen light switches and receptacles, added HVAC ducts, and did a complete home theater wiring, so there were a lot of holes that needed patching. Furthermore, we had scraped off the popcorn ceilings and were changing the wall texture from a heavy crows-foot to a light orange peel, which required a skim coat and texturing of all of the rooms. I wanted the job done quickly, because we were behind schedule on accepting delivery and installation of some custom cabinets. I contacted John on a Monday afternoon, and he came to my house within 30 minutes and gave me a bid, which was significantly lower than another bid I had received for the same job. John and his crew dropped off materials on Wednesday, started the job early Thursday morning, and finished it late on Friday. They cleaned up everything nicely, using rolls of paper to protect my subfloor (which we kept in place to protect the floor from paint). I am happy with the quality and I know that we got a great value. If you are EXTREMELY picky about quality, you might find someone who would provide a little more attention to fine detail, probably for a lot more money. But I think that if you explained what you wanted to John, he could probably take a little more time and would bid a little higher accordingly. Before he gave me his bid, he listened carefully as I walked him through the area, explaining what was important to me and what was not, and he gave me exactly what I wanted.

He came, he quoted, he left. We did not select his service due to price.

I had removed a couple of walls in my house and needed the sheet rock fixed on the ceilings and walls. John came out at 8AM with 2 helpers, gave me a price right then, I said OK, and they were totally done with the job by 2:30 the same day. They replaced a total of about 4 sheets of drywall, taped & bedded everything, and blew the texture to match the existing walls and ceilings. You can't even tell anything has been repaired. They worked very quickly and professionally, protected everything very well, and cleaned up after the job. I would not hesitate to use John again in the future for any drywall job.
