The service that John Hernandez offered exceeded my expectations. I had two holes in my kitchen both around 3x3(popcorn ceiling) he was able to match the original color and when he was done. I could not even tell the difference. Great job!!... I would highly recommend John and his crew.

Project went well - I got an estimate over the phone based on the description of the project, we scheduled the repair quickly, and then Hernandez Drywall showed up, got the job done, and cleaned up after the project. No complaints.

John was very easy to work with. He answered the initial call immediately and came out the next day to provide us with a bid. He bid the project on the spot and was able to start and complete the project in one day. He was very thorough explaining exactly what would be done, and as they were working, he asked for my approval along the way. I would highly recommend Hernandez Drywall - they did a great job!

John returned the call for service quickly. He and his assistant came out the next day and completed the repair in 30 minutes. I would trust John with any drywall repair. Fast, dependable, affordable service.

Mr. Hernandez repaired approximately 25 large holes in our drywall that were made when we had our house re-piped due to water damage. It is absolutely perfect and seamless! You can't see ANY evidence of the holes. I would highly recommend Hernandez Drywall and will use them again should the need arise.

Hernandez Drywall is good. He came out to give us an estimate, and the actual cost actually ended up being less than the estimate. His prices are a little high. He's been very responsive. We've used him twice and he's been good both times. He's come out when he said he would. He's been available for us when we needed him to be. He's not perfect, but he does a pretty good job. The quality is pretty good and they clean up reasonably well afterwards. The crew is good and seemed to work well. He scores well.

Mr Hernandez was punctual and professional for both the initial estimate and for the repairs. He and his crew were careful to tape and cover everything up. They did a great job and cleaned up after themselves. I would use again and recommend to others.

John answered my phone call right away and came over with his assistant within two hours as he said he would. I had him evaluate the ceiling and asked about a whole new ceiling, and he said that the rest of the ceiling should be good for 10 years. He advised me to just have the broken section fixed. John climbed into our tiny attic space and reinforced the are with wood planks. It was a messy, dusty job with old insulation all over the place. He put in many screws and taped up the area and painted it. John and his assistant cleaned the big mess afterward and hauled off the trash. They went above and beyond the call of duty and made the ceiling look good. We couldn't be more pleased. I would recommend Hernandez Drywall to everyone.

I've subcontracted out a considerable part of the work on a new 2 story home. I can honestly say that of ALL of the subcontractors I've worked with, Mr. Hernandez was the BEST. He is professional, prompt, courteous, and clearly takes pride in his work. His crew cleans up after itself and works efficiently. He knows what he is doing and his quotes are very fair. I am particularly critical of the quality of the work performed by subcontractors, but after using Mr. Hernandez's company on two separate occasions, I can say that choosing his services is a no-brainer.

John Hernandez was very responsive and prompt when an estimate was requested and he hand delivered it to us. He had us inspect his previous job he was currently finishing up so we could see the quality of his work. We were very impressed. Before hiring Hernandez, we did get a second estimate but it came in almost double and the owner of that company was very late in giving it to us. Hernandez Drywall wound up doing an outstanding job on our house which was in pretty bad shape and even exceeded our expectations by doing additional work at no additional charge just to make sure we were happy. Everything looks beautiful. He also knows other contractors who are highly skilled. We would up using a tile person and a cabinet person based on his recommendations. I highly recommend Hernandez Drywall and John is an inspiration on what it takes to run a successful business.

John Hernandez and his team were fabulous! He is an expert at drywall and he went in and corrected a drywall issue that we had due to electrical work that needed to be done. He was very responsive when I called him and even came out that same day to assess the project. Furthermore, he was very resourceful and helpful about how to fix the issue as cheaply as possible. I really value that he didn't try to price gouge us and he tried to help us save money. In terms of the project, he was able to squeeze us in just a day later. His service time was fast! When they arrived, they put cardboard down on our floors in their walk zone - this was a nice touch because it showed that they cared about keeping our house clean. Then he taped off the areas that weren't being worked on in a truly expert way. They fixed our drywall perfectly!!!! It is amazing how matched the areas look now - no one will be able to tell that it was patched. John is a very sincere guy and it was clear to see that he took great pride in his work. His work was worth every penny and I highly recommend him. We will most certainly use him again for future needs.

We were thrilled with our experience with John and his team. First of all, John answered his phone every time I called him. This put me at ease right away. He showed up right on time when we were giving us our bid. He stuck to the pricing and timing he provided us in the beginning. His crew was all friendly and did a great job. The work completed looks great and John went above and beyond to make sure it looks clean. They worked through the weekend so we could meet our move-in date. They cleaned everything up when they were done. Overall, we are very happy with John's service. We will definitely hire him again if we need to.

Came out the morning after I called, and fixed the damaged wall and trim on the same visit! Was very punctual and friendly.

I was ok with the results. My only issue was I apparently provided the wrong color paint. The quality was good for the money.

John and his team were awesome. They were very prompt and completed the work faster than I expected. The result is fantastic and I impressed by how professional they were. The crew left the work area cleaner than any other contractor I have ever worked with. I have done my own drywall work in the past, but John did such a great job, I will not likely do my own drywall ever again!

John responded promptly to our appointment. John came in and provided me with an estimate for the work and described what would be involved and how much of a mess it would be. Told us that they would protect floors and carpets and cleanup everything after they were finished. We agreed on the price and he said he would be there the following Tuesday or Wednesday based our completion of wiring and plumbing work, and he said to let him know when we were ready. We agreed that they could start on Tuesday based on messages left. He and his crew were there promptly on Tuesday morning to begin work. They covered everything as they said they would, and then just began working. I was amazed at the speed with which they got ll of the new drywall hung in our two rooms, and then they began work on the ceilings. Needless to say it was just as messy as he said, but they had everything protected, so no worries. Next day the completed the mudding work with three coats on the ceilings and didn't even need to sand... Walls and ceiling look great and we are very happy with the work. They cleaned up all of their mess as promised and we are now working on getting things painted.

It didn't go... that was the problem.

Despite what another user said previously I felt that John was very professional and punctual. His price was slightly higher then some other estimates I received but he was very accommodating to my time frame. When I essentially doubled the work required at the last minute he was still able to get it all done ahead of schedule! John seems like an honest man who works his a** off. I was very impressed with the work performed and would definitely recommend him to anyone. Some people need to understand that these contractors are up to their ears with often backbreaking work during the summer months and the housing boom Austin is experiencing isn't making matters easier.

I called John to set up an appointment for a bid. Since my husband & I live out of town, he arranged to meet us at the house on a Saturday. He arrived promptly and promised he would start the job & stay with it until finished. He started the job the following Monday, July 15. The work took about 10 days. The house is one we are completely re-doing. He kept in contact with us at least once a day to give us updates. He did so much for us that we were unable to do because we weren't there. When one of the bath tubs we had ordered arrived damaged, he called us, arranged the return & met the new shipment. He took on tasks that made it seem like we had a good friend helping us. He rebuilt the pantry/ laundry room that my husband had not had the time to do & primed the entire house after it was finished. He charged us nothing for doing many extra tasks. The house looks beautiful! In fact, it is unbelievable that it is the same place. John & his crew were fantastic. He also had people to refer us to for other work we needed. We could not be more pleased. We would hire Hernandez Dry Wall again.

We called for an estimate to repair drywall on our ceiling on Monday July 22nd and was told not a problem. He said we would arrive sometime on Thursday 7/25. We called back on Tuesday around 4:00:pm to confirm date and time to make sure there was no problem so one of us could get off the day off from work. Thursday comes and NO call and NO Show. We called him and he finally answered around 6:00 pm saying they he was to busy and was not interested in the Job. This guys is not professional, do not use him. We had to take off from work based on his time frame. What a wasted day.

After getting advice and estimates from several contractors, we chose Hernandez Drywall to provide a smoother orange peel texture over a poorly applied troweled texture in the master bedroom. The bid was reasonable and the proposed process seemed to have the most logical and thoughtful approach. His small team arrived promptly as promised, taped and prepared the room for the work and spent two days layering skim coat until the heavy texture was a thing of the past. Once dried and smooth, they added the light orange peel finish that we'd requested. They did a fabulous job with the dry wall finishing so when they offered to paint for a good price, we went ahead and had them do that too - even though we'd originally planned to do the painting ourselves. They did an okay job with the painting part. We still had to come back and redo the detail work but all in all, I will hire Hernandez Drywall again for any drywall work we need - just not painting :). They really provided high quality texturing, they were on time from beginning to end, they were very respectful of keeping the place clean and they left the place ready for us to move right in. Johnny was great to work with. He called me back within an hour of leaving a message requesting a bid. He bid the job on Sunday & finished the job beautifully the next day I would trust him on any job big or small. We're very grateful to have found him on Angie's List!

He’s honest and a man of his word. We had a problem in the eat-in kitchen area where some of the skim-coating didn’t adhere to the latex paint and he’s fixed this at no-charge.

Called John and he responded quickly, stating he had just finished a job and could meet the same day to see what was needed to be done. He arrived on time. We discussed the work ( nail pops in the ceiling in three different rooms and a large crack on the seam of the sheetrock in one room, all due to settling). He had me mark all the areas I could find with blue tape to make sure he didn't miss anything. John described what he would do and how he would do it. Commited to be back at 7:45am the next day to complete the work. He showed up promptly the next morning and re-stated what he would do and long it would take. Work was completed in less than four hours. He and his helper had completed all the work and a few others his expert eye had found. The areas they worked in were spotless, other than the repairs completed you would have never even known they were there. His skills and attention to detail are excellant. If you did not know the areas he repaired, you couldn't tell the difference. Would highly recommend!
