I called John because of Angie's List. He came by within a couple of hours, looked at the job and gave me a reasonable bid. He said it would take two days. The first day to patch and tape/float the patches. The second day for applying matching texture. On both days he indicated the time he would show up and was on time. I would add that he spoke perfect English and understood exactly what I wanted. John does all of the work with an assistant who is very professional as well. When they left all was cleaned up. When they were finished, the patches and texturing matched perfectly. You could not tell that the ceiling had ever been damaged from the leaking water heater. Very professional and quality work. I would highly recommend John and his crew. If you need drywall repairs, Hernandez Drywall is the best in my opinion.

At this time they are about halfway done but the work looks fantastic so far! They have a great number of reviews and they gave a competitive quote and also seemed the most professional of all of the companies that had bid on the job.

Phenomenal! John fit me into his schedule on a very short time frame as I was under a tight deadline to get the repairs made. He arrived early, charged a fare rate and did and exceptional job. I will be using John for all jobs in the future.

Hernandez Drywall is great! The workers showed up every morning before 9 am and worked hard for a complete work day--only taking modest lunch breaks. They even worked on the weekends to get my job done quickly. John, the owner, told me the job would be done in a week, and he kept his word. He gave a fair bid and showed integrity in my dealings with him. The few issues I had with the end result were quickly rectified when brought to his attention. We have further bathroom remodels scheduled for the future, and we will definitely be using Hernandez Drywall.

The provider scheduled an appointment for 9:00 am Friday. I called him at 9:00 am when he was a no show. Did not answer the phone call. I left a message asking when he would arrive. I waited another 20 minutes still no show. I tried to call again and the phone was busy. No call to say he's running late. At 12;30pm I get a call that from this provider that bypasses the ring and goes straight into voicemail and then leaves no message. I'm not doing business with this unprofessional.

Called hoping to get him to repair my damaged ceiling. Never heard from him again. By now I've already found another contractor, and had the work completed. If you're too busy to take the job, just say so - don't tell customers you'll call them back and then blow them off.

Perfect - the work looks great. John was very professional. We would recommend Hernandez Drywall to friends and family.

I called John for a bid yesterday and he came within a few hours to bid it, saying he could start in the morning. I accepted his bid. John and his crew rang the bell promptly at 8:00 am this morning and went straight to work. He and his crew were extremely professional and polite. By 11:30, they had finished and thoroughly cleaned up after themselves. The repairs look great!

i called john and scheduled an appointment to evaluate my needs. he came the next day and gave me q quote for the work. i got other quotes, but he was close to the lowest , but seemed to be more knowlegable than other contractors that gave me bids. i would recommend john for any drywall problems that you may encounter. i am pleased with the work, price and friendship we develpod while he and his crew were working in our home..

They arrived about an hour late, and were done in about 6 hours. While they clearly know what they are doing, the finish work and attention to detail is just not there. My ceiling has a number of obvious rough and uneven patches. The edges of the walls, corners, and near the floor and electrical outlets are nearly all poorly finished. I spent the weekend priming and painting the entire room, and just about every surface they touched has problems. They did a good job cleaning up, and they were available to work right away, but it is clear they are in a hurry to get done rather than to do it right. I did not call them to fix the problem as I had to get the work done and the rooms painted before house guests arrived.

John Hernandez was available in the time frame I needed to complete the drywall in my game room. His team arrived on the agreed day and time. He and his team performed the work requested and did an excellent job.

I had found John on Angieslist and had him out for a quote for popcorn ceiling removal. It wasn't in the budget at that time, but when I needed some drywall done, I remembered his professionalism and reasonable prices. I emailed him on a thursday, he came out on a friday for an estimate and the work was done on the following Monday. They arrived on time, did a great job of protecting our floors and furniture from dust and worked quickly! John himself was here, and he brought a team of two more guys. The entire project took about 5 hours. They cleaned up beautifully and the work itself looks great.

John Hernandez did an awesome job. He came out to give me an estimate on some work a previous handyman did incorrectly. He gave me a good price and started on the job immediately. It only took him a few hours to do everything necessary, including blowing texture to match the existing wall. Outstanding! The wall repair looks great! I'll definitely use him for any future drywall work.

He was on time and courteous and did an outstanding job. Made things like it never happened. He left my home cleaner than when he started the work. Also we was able to make the repair right then and there. The job was done immediately, professionally and would highly recommend him! Hard to find great service, price and high quality work now a days.

Not perfect. Needed to ask to come back. They did and said best they could do within certain limitations. They responded quickly and I believe tried to make it better. Since its only a small bedroom, decided to live with it.

John and his team were outstanding. High quality craftsmanship and they were highly professional and courteous. At the end of the job, you would have never known the ceiling was repaired. I cannot recommend John high enough.

I have used John Hernandez for an earlier job and I knew the quality of his work. I phoned him and he said he could come the same day, in a couple of hours. He phoned later to tell me he was on his way. I asked him to go directly to the property, where the tenant would let him in and show him the problem. John completed the repair so perfectly you cannot even see there was ever any damage. His work is excellent, his price is reasonable, and he is prompt and dependable. I would definitely use him again, an would highly recommend him to anyone who has a need for a drywall expert. We are using John for other projects, as well, and he is extremely cooperative.

John Hernandez promptly returned my 8 PM call one night, and arrived at 8 Am the next morning to view the scope of work for his bid. Both my husband and I immediately felt very comfortable w/ John's professional demeanor, expertise, and advice. We approved the bid, and John scheduled us for the following Monday. He and his team finished the whole job by Friday afternoon of the same week. Yes! we are very happy and impressed with the results by John and his team. We have more remodeling to do and John is the man we will call upon for professional quality!

It all started with a gutted home. After my Husband finished with redoing framework, Elect/ Plumbing/ Fiberglass and Foam Insulation and working with other trades; it was time to call Mr Hernandez in to drywall. Mr Hernandez asked us to pay for the job in 3 parts; Part One $4000.00 was for the drop off Drywall; So in advance of about 2-3 weeks of Mr H crew he had a team bring in Sheets, and Sheets and Sheets of Drywall/ Mud /tape. These were not just 4X8s, We also had 4X12 dropped. I think we counted 32 boxes of mud. The Drywall piles were placed about the house and left while My husband did his finishing touches before the drywall scheduled to install. My grandaughter took great joy dancing on them like a stage and several lunches were served on those piles of Drywall. (Mr H said it was fine) Part Two $4000.00 installation; Another crew was sent to install Drywall. Every Wall, Every Closet, Every Ceiling. This was no small patch job; entire interior of the house was sheet rocked. Including the Bathrooms (special rated stuff for bathrooms) Part Two Two Tape and Float. Every seam on Every Wall, Every Closet, Every Ceiling... Sanding, sanding and more sanding. Part Three Primer Paint Every Wall, Every Closet, Every Ceiling. Mr H said that was standard for him to do the primer as if there were any imperfections, Primer would reveal them. Everything looked marvelous. End of Part Three Mr Hernandez was paid the final $4000.00 Money well spent. All of Mr H crew were hard working, polite and didn't mind an audience. I loved watching the process throughout. Mr Hernandez was very straightforward with his bid, he explained the process to doing the job in phases, the expectation of payments in phases. There were no "surprises". Mr Hernandez delivered exactly as he promised as did we. I couldn't be more pleased. My only regret is allowing my husband to talk me into painting the house ourselves and not getting Mr Hernandez this well deserved glowing review sooner.

We were very happy with the results.

.After blowing insulation in wall cavities from the interior, we were left with 60-80 4x4 and 4x6 holes in the exterior walls. Too much for me to finish in a day. I called John in the morning and he promised to stop by over lunch to inspect and give an estimate. He did that and we agreed on a price. Work was to begin the following morning. John and two crew members arrived just before 8:00 and began setting up. They were very well organized and work began quickly. I just got out of their way. By the time they broke for lunch at 11:00, all holes had been patched and had at least one coat of compound on them. (I actually believe that they might have finished sooner had they not had to wait for the compound to dry.) Near 4:00 all of the holes had been completed, at least two coats of joint compound applied and orange peel texture applied to the living space walls. John even tended to a few areas not in the original bid. As a bonus, the final cost was less than the estimate! John and his crew were neat, respectful of the property, and very efficient. I can recommend them without reservations for any sheetrock job

I give John Hernandez my full endorsement. The work he did blew me away. Three years ago I removed my tube fluorescent fixture in my kitchen and replaced it with six recessed lights, which I LOVE! There was a hole and some other slight damage in the ceiling. Additionally, we had replaced a boxed-in tube fixture over the master bath counter (SO 1980's!) with two updated single fixtures, one over each basin. So there were four sheet rock patches that needed floating and taping. I e-mailed John on Friday and he and his assistant were here right before 8:00 this morning (Monday). I had forgotten to tell him that the ceiling (vaulted) was about 11 ft. in the kitchen. He had a 6 ft. ladder. He found a folding table (heavy duty!) in my garage and set his ladder on top. I was scared for his safety, but his assistance was right there. I left for another part of the house because I was so worried! John put a tent around the work he was doing and caught all of the debris. Then they cleaned up any stray mess. Same for the bathroom. The job took about two hours. It is very clear to me that John is a professional. I am actually stunned by the results!

I called Hernandez Drywall on February 24 and Mr. Hernandez came out to do the work on February 25. The work was done efficiently and everything was cleaned up well. I'm not sure if Mr. Hernandez also does touch up painting or not - we were having the entire room repainted by a different contractor once the hole was patched so I did not inquire about painting services. The price was probably a little high based on the amount of time the job took, but it was also a very small job and I recognize there is an opportunity cost to contractors doing small jobs (e.g., time that could otherwise be spent on a larger job and travel time) so I felt it was a fair price overall.

I was just calling to get an estimate for work that needed to be done. I was gathering bids from numerous contractors. When I stated that I was looking for the work to be done in the next few weeks, he told me to call him when it got closer to that time.
