We thought we had a solidified price at $42000. It ended up being almost $10000 more. He could never explain where the extra money came from. He subcontracted the concrete work and another company to lift the roof from the original garage structure. That lift work was done inappropriately, the supports they used gave way and they broke the roof. Rather than making this company eat the cost of the replacement, I think we got dinged for the mistake. This is pure supposition, but it is a large discrepancy, and he never gave any sort of itemized indication of what things cost. I grew tired of dealing with it and let it go. The project took forever. They would often disappear for days at a time, would re-appear with crews of varying sizes. They did a credible job and fixing the roof, setting the stud framework and siding and windows as well. I would be hesitant to use them again though.
Description of Work: They built a garage for me, part of which was walled off for a workshop. This involved taking the roof off the old structure and placing it on the new structure.
