+ -1 moreDispute being handled by American Express. No response from Frys. Austin Frys refused certified letter. San Jose office of vice-president signed for certified letter but no response. At time I had work done there was a huge sign in the service dept. saying that they were certified to work on Apple computers. It has since been removed. I had the iMac repaired at Barton Creek Apple although I also purchased a service policy from Frys. I did not return it to Frys because I did not want them working on my computer again. The day I picked up the computer I returned it because the optical drive was not working. I was charged $56 to be told to buy an external drive. The technician was disinterested, bordering on rude. AMERICAN EXPRESS GOT A FULL REFUND FOR ME but I won't go back.
Description of Work: Inserted a hard drive not compatible with iMac. Left sensor cable dangling, not connected.

+ -1 moreMy experience with Fry's Electronics was okay. It took a long time. It took them a week. I was disappointed they couldn't fix my hard drive. But they were able to address the problem. They had the expertise to do everything.
Description of Work: They replaced my laptop's hard drive, reinstalled software and restored files from my corrupted hard drive.
