Frans Dahmen Construction

I lived in one side of the house during the work and thus had a daily encounter with the work. Being the daughter of a builder, I am aware of quality building techniques and never once questioned the quality approaches of Frans and his team. Although I had an architect the 3 of us worked together to determine the many additions and changes I wanted so that the end result was just perfect in terms of what I wanted and what was best for the situation. I loved being included in the process but also felt if I had not wanted to be included, the house could have been beautifully redone by Frans working alone or with my architect. Both worked brilliantly together and Frans himself had many good design ideas which both the architect and I appreciated. Frans is a problem solver. Frans has a small crew and uses sub-contractors for sheet rocking, insulation, plumbing, and electrical work. However he closely supervises all sub-contractors and is truly a hands on contractor never missing a day to either do the work himself or to supervise those who are doing it. His contractors seem to really appreciate him and all work peacefully and happily together. Because of city permits that took longer than expected to process, as I needed special permission, we did not meet our initial time line but the entire project was completed in less than 6 months including a 6 week hold while awaiting city processes. And most importantly 6 years later the work still looks great and is clearly completed with quality materials and techniques.
