Fox Service Company

We’ve been doing this for about fifteen years. Basically they are very prompt and very professional. If I need a new unit, then I would buy it from them again. So far I’ve got my air conditioning and furnace for sixteen and a half years. I think that’s because I get it checked every six months. They seemed professional and clean. They seem to know what they’re doing. They’re prompt and they call ahead of time. I’ve never had a problem with them. I have no complaints. I haven’t dealt with anyone else and so I don’t know how to compare their prices. Their prices have gone up in time. In fact everything’s gone up. Their quality is good. They sell good products. Otherwise I wouldn’t be with them for so long. We will use their services again in the future.

Very good experience. Worth it, if it costs a little more.

Great under the circumstances no one wants to have repairs but it happens. I woke up and my wife didn't have any covers on her which is not like her. I went out and found out that the thermostat was at 80 not 75 so obviously we didn't have liftoff. I called Fox at 7:00am and they said someone would be in the office at 7:30 and give me a call. Literally, at 7:31 the call came in and they said that they would get me in as soon as a technician was available today they didn't know when that would be but they would let me know. The girl also let me know that my service contract had expired but I have to say that was a mute point throughout our conversation and it was not brought up till the end which gave me a warm and fuzzy. I did call back a couple of times as they could not nail down a time but the last time I called in which was about noon Phil said it would be 45 minutes. He lied Robert made it in 20 minutes :). Robert recognized me immediately from when he came to my house and it was 18 degrees out and I had no heat the year before. Robert was and is extremely courteous and willing to make me understand what and how something works never looks at you in that god your bothering me even though I probably am but he went out of his way to be willing. Information coming from a Technician is invaluable especially at making a correct decision for the future and having an understanding on what is not working in the first place.

They are good and they show up on time. They are pretty expensive.

They charged a minimal fee. We have an annual service contract with them. We use them frequently. They have always been good about scheduling when I call. They know who I am. They have some other services too, but we haven't used all of their other services. We probably would. Their pricing is about average.

I liked them. They did work for me several times. They have done work for me a couple of times over the past five years. The amount that I have spent with them probably didn’t cross a $150. I thought they were very professional. They are fast. They show up when they say they are going to show up. I didn’t get the feeling that they were charging me an outrageous amount. They explained everything. I think they are a good solid company and you don’t have to wait a long time to have them to show up to fix your problem. They do a good job. I will use their services again in the future.

They've been great. I"ve been very pleased. They also send a reminder.

That experience was great. Their customer service was good. They answered all my questions. Their installation was professional. They were on time and did the job thoroughly. It was just what I expected from service. They were good all-round. They were knowledgeable and were willing to explain. I spent $10000 on that work.

I determined several years ago that Fox is way overpriced and that there are as equally talented service technicians available that don't take you to the cleaners.

When you call them, you always get somebody to come out the same day. I also like that they give guarantee for their work so that if it's not done right they have their warranty and they will come and fix it for free. They are very professional. They're not always the cheapest but I think they always stand behind their work. We had a water leak and they replaced the piping. One of the valves was defected and so it started leaking and they came and fixed it again immediately and didn't charge me. They don't weasel out. I've used them for five years. They also have this one priority service and you can pay a small amount a year. If you are one of the priority customers, then you're on top of the list and they take care of you.

They were professional. They were very helpful. They also gave me lot of advice on other plumbing issues and they did that for free. I want to use them again that would be the best recommendation I could give. I did have others plumbing items I need to repair in my house so I have plan using them. It took them two days to get here which I think was unreasonable. I don't rate them high on punctuality. They were in determined. They told they would get here sometime that day. Their quality of work and specialism, I rated them high and I would be glad to rate them high but their responsiveness was poor. The routine repairs can be planned ahead to incorporate their poor response time.

I called several electricians. I kept hearing "I'll be out next Tuesday" (and they never came) or "I'm too busy to take the job". So, I called Fox on a recommendation from a friend. They arrived when they said they would and did the job in the time they stated it would take. Professional, experienced, responsible...the little extra expense was worth it for sure!

They do the inspection of the heating and air conditioning twice a year. The contract entitles me to have priority on calls. I like them very much. They are professional. They do what they say they are going to do and when they say they are going to do it. You can count on them when they give you a time schedule for the appointment. They always call about 15 minutes before they come. So, you know if they are going to be early or late. They are very cooperative and they don't try to talk me into anything. They give me what I want and what I need.

They are very prompt and the people who do the work appear to be knowledgeable and competent. I have no complaints about it. Their price is fairly reasonable if you contract to do both the fall and the spring check.

My experience with them went well. They came at the appointed time and date. The completed the work efficiently.

I have needed to call Fox for a problem. That is because they come regularly and avoid problems in advance.

We are on a service contract with them. We get annual spring and winter service appointments. They are always prompt. They like to keep their appointments. Generally speaking, we like the technicians that they send out. They are nice fellows. They don't seem to find something wrong so it costs extra. They come out and do what needs to be done and if there are issues they bring it to your attention and tell you how much it will be to fix the problem. We have not had any problems feeling like we have been taken advantage of.

They were responsive when called, it wasn't an emergency but were able to come out a day later. I had researched them and the water heaters they use and were well guided by them. Their opinion was that we could wait a while to repair, no pressure to work on it now. I had two friends that has recommended them before I joined Angie's list. They arrived to do the repairs when they said they would, kept the house clean and did a great job. They filled out their portion of the paperwork for me to get the Texas rebate, about $375 per water heater. Very pleased. It's been two days now so far, everything is great.

They have a reputation of having high prices; however, the work they provide is good. Though, I have chosen not to work with them again.

I have had a service contract with Fox Service for several years, which includes two A/C & heating inspections/service/year. There is also a 20% discount for other services received during the contract year. They have been very good until this year. The repairman who checked my A/C unit in the spring evidently did not blow out the lines, which resulted in a leak on my dining room laminate flooring. To their credit, they did fix the problem (and my floors are drying out and returning to normal) with no charge. The estimates for some of the plumbing items mentioned above were completely out of line. The quote was over $400 to replace the insides of both toilets (referred to it as a "rebuild" -- I can do this task myself; just prefer not to) and over $400 to replace the outside faucet. I passed on these items. The cost to repair the kitchen sink, snake two bathtubs, two bathroom sinks & install the new showerhead were reasonable. The plumber was courteous and professional and did an excellent job. I gave them a low rating on price because of the estimates; not the cost of the work done. I most likely will use Fox again, but not before I try another company's service contract. I have used Fox Service Co. off and on over the past twenty years, and overall they are a good company.

They are courteous and clean up after themselves. They explain things while things are going on. They explained to me my options for fixing the problem and the consequences if I didn't fix it. They have good customer serivce and they are always interested in making sure it gets done right. The technician himself always leaves me with a card that basically says if anything happens over the next 72 hours then give me a call. They are a little bit more expensive than other people, but they always stand behind their work. They follow up at no expense if something goes wrong.

a leaking pipe on the side of the house was replaced

The Fox technician arrived within the 12 hour window. He was not very personable upon entering the house -- but I wasn't hiring a friend to fix this problem. He immediate set to work and troubleshot the broken outlet to some poorly wired junction in an exposed hole in the wall behind a cabinet. He confidently and professionally repaired the junction, sealed the hole in the wall, and fixed the failed outlet. He warmed up a bit once we started talking about the world cup. I am confident that his work was good and that this problem has been solved.

Even though the FOX service tech. knew that junction box was to provide power to pool light, he made it impossible to access the wire to the light. He buried the wire in the conduit. The pool man was unable to install the light after 2 visits and over $500 was spent. When we talked to the FOX tech. he said we should tell the pool man to rip out the conduit and box to get to the wire, destroying over $800 of work. I tried to talk to Bruce, the electrical manager for FOX, and tell him that FOX needs to correct this problem but he refused to return my calls. I feel completely ripped off by FOX. My advise is never hire FOX, you can be sure I won't.

I recently bought a house and wanted to confirm the seller had installed the new water heater properly before closing, so I called Fox Services the day before I needed them and asked if a plumber could inspect it to make sure the seller didn't cut corners. They said they were able to accommodate me at the time I needed and I paid $150 with a credit card over the phone for the service the day before. The plumber showed up on time (I think his name was Rick). He inspected the water heater and said it was up to code and a pretty good brand, and pointed out some other things about the installation and installation trends in the past year. I then asked him if he could check out the drain from the dishwasher because the dishwasher had pooled water in it and he fixed it in two seconds by taking out the "knock out" piece, something the installers had not done. At that point he could have left, since I didn't have any more questions, but instead he looked at some of the other plumbing, and ended up replacing the dryer connection, stove connection and sharing advice on stainless steel washing machine tubes and other ways to prevent water leaks in the home. What impressed me about him was how knowledgeable he was and that he offered to do above and beyond what I asked for even though it wouldn't result in more money. I had already paid the day before so I just signed a piece of paper and he left. It all took about 20 minutes.
