Eric at Fontaine A/C is a true professional. I called several A/C companies to inspect my system. Most companies only want to talk with you about a complete replacement. There appears to be little “service” in this service industry. While my A/C was still working, it’s 14 yrs old and there was an issue in operation (it has 2 zones/thermostats but, only one condenser outside). In addition, the register in the master walk-in closet wasn’t producing any air flow. Eric came out and checked the system. He judged it to be “good operating condition” and he discussed my options for the problem register. When I asked how much for the service call, he shocked me and said “nothing”. He said he didn’t do anything and didn’t feel he should charge me. Its hard to find such honesty and professionalism in a contractor. You can bet I will call Fontaine A/C when I need any HVAC work.

I have been calling on Fontaine Air Conditioning for many years. He does the annual check-up on my home ac system. The relationship started after I called another ac company to check out a leak comimg from my furnace. The company indicated there was an issue with the coil and recommended replacing my entire unit. Expensive! I wasn't an Angie's List member at the time, but I located Fontaine AC from CL. He asked me some questions and giggled when I described my issue. He suggested taking my water hose and inserting it into a pcv drain pipe and turning the water on to flush out the pipe. OMG! It was that easy. He still came out and made certain the coil was fine. Which it was. He did add some much needed freon and tightened some exterior hoses. If memory serves me right, the charge was below $100. Seven yrs later, I still have my original ac unit. Recently, I called him because my ac unit was making a loud noise. I explained to him that it sounded like an airplane was landing in my back yard or the noise that you hear when your car's fan belt is loose. We agreed to meet Sat. He followed up with me early Sat afternoon. However, I explained that I'd been called into work and wouldn't be available until after 5. He agreed to meet me at 5:45 pm. I truely appreciated the fact that he did not postpone for another day. He is always courteous, professional and priced fair.
Description of Work: Replaced the fan motor on my home's ac. Has also done annual tune-up on my unit for many years.
