Tom Fleshman arrived and immediately diagnosed the problem as a failing motor. He gave me a total cost to replace the motor (as well as the only other two mechanical parts in the dryer) so I could decide whether to repair it or replace it. I thought his total price of $230 was very reasonable, so the parts were replaced and now the old dryer is as good as new.

Fleshman Appliance Repair was able to fix the machine in a couple of hours. The washing machine has been working well ever since.

It went really good. I would recommend him highly. I would use him again. I did not know that a person like him existed.

They specialize in american appliances so I can't have them do everything I have in the house.

Great, I received a call 20 minutes before he arrived. He fixed my washing machine in less than an hour, charged a reasonable amount, and he didn't mind my dogs attempts to assist him.

Fleshman Appliance Repair came highly recommended from several of my central Austin neighbors. When my gas dryer was on the fritz, I called Tom and he came over the next day. Turns out, the latch on the dryer door was the problem. It was a quick and easy fix - he had the needed part on his truck. I was back in the laundry business fast! I will absolutely call the next time I have any appliance issues.

Tom was able to fit us into the schedule very quickly. Our freezer was not draining properlly and water was acccumulating in the refrigerator. He fixed it and added a part to keep it from happening again. I also had him look at our broken dryer door handle. He ordered the part and returned a few days later to replace it.

Overall, Tom called me before my appointment slot and came early to check out the dishwasher. He was very friendly and professional and told me most likely it was a broken valve since the water was clear and thus the reason for the extra water leaking from the dishwasher. He also noticed that the door hinge wasn't properly working and replaced that part too. He was quick and to the point and I appreciated his work. I ran the dishwasher tonight and no problems yet! I just wish he also fixed other things like HVAC, garage doors, etc =)

He's super quick. He's really honest. He will tell you if it's cheaper to get a repair, or to buy a new appliance. He's really sharp. He's repaired my refrigerator before. He's top notch. I would use him again.

They are by far the best. They are just really good guys.

Our icemaker was not working. Mr. Fleshman showed up at the appointed time and, before doing anything else, hel aid down protective tracks for the refrigerator to roll on, to protect our floor. Tom discovered that a plastic supply line had become hot and disintegrated. He determined that the reason the line had failed was because a fan, which was supposed to circulate air in the back of the refrigerator, had quit working. While he was replacing the fan and supply line, he also found a fiberboard baffle missing. He custom-built a new baffle from materials he had in his van. Operation of the icemaker and the entire refrigerator were thoroughly checked,and the job was done.

They gave me an appointment quickly. They came when they said they would. I am happy with their service and they cleaned up after they were done. It is a father/son business.

It went fine overall and he just seemed to be a nice guy. He was clean, came in and did his work, and left. He did good work and knew what he was doing.

He is reasonably priced, very punctual. He also gives honest feedback, and I have now used him 3 times.

This was the second time I called to seek repair service on an appliance. Both times Mr. Fleshman answered my call promptly and was extremely professional and helpful (first time - gas stove; second time - washer/dryer). He took several minutes to discuss my problem and give me a thoughtful diagnosis of what he thought the issue might be and whether he could help me. Both times, he was honest and said he didn't think the problem was worth trying to repair. I really appreciated his candor and that he didn't try to swindle me into an expensive repair job that wasn't going to solve the problem. He also always said he'd be happy to come take a look as well, so I also didn't feel brushed off either. What a nice surprise! Will definitely use him in the future.

Tom was extremely professional, courteous and careful in all of our interactions. He was prompt and confident without being arrogant. Based on this interaction, I will definitely call him first if any of my appliances should fail again.

I left a telephone message for Mr. Fleshman on Sunday afternoon that we were smelling gas when our oven was operating. He returned my call Monday morning and scheduled an appointment for Tuesday. He was punctual, and he diagnosed and repaired the problem promptly. While he was here, he replaced the oven light that I had been unable to access and remove myself, and he answered several questions we had about our oven that we had been unable to satisfy either online or through other service personnel. We were impressed by his courteousness, and we were pleasantly surprised by the reasonableness of his charges. We fully intend to contact Mr. Fleshman for all of our appliance repair needs in the future.

I made the mistake of tossing an old floor mat with rubber backing in with the other floor mats when cleaning one day. The old rubber disintegrated in the dryer and the house reeked of burning rubber everytime i turned it on. I asked Tom to come out and take the unit apart and vacuum everything out. Upon inspection, Tom said he did not think that was necessary, that I should be able to just let the smell run its course, and that he didn't think there was any sort of fire hazard (what i was concerned about). He did not charge me for the trip, or do unnecessary work, which I thought was very kind of him!

He arrived when he said he would. Checked the refrigerator to see what the problem was and saw no evidence of a problem. He laid down on the floor and checked the door and determined that one of the drawers was misalligned. He then proceeded to remove all of the drawers and reinstall them which corrected the problem.

He was on time and very professional. I would definitely recommend him, although from what I understand, he works in a very limited area of Austin. You would need to check to see if you are in the correct area.

I have used Tom Fleshman before and he did great work. This time I had him come out for my refrigerator that was leaking water. He promptly found the problem and told me exactly what the cause of the problem and how he was going to fix it. When he finished he mentioned that he could smell gas. I had smelt it on a couple of occasions so he took a look at the stove and he found a leak and a problem with the ignighter for a burner. We also found another leak in a gas valve. At this point the price of the parts for the repair was going to add up, and since I had told him we where selling the house, he suggested that it might be a better choice to replace the stove. It is rare that repairmen will tell you it is better to replace it (if they are not selling the replacement) when they could get a lot of work out of you. Put simply I wish all repair men where like Mr. Fleshman.
