Five Star Painting of Austin did a fantastic job. Daniel and his crew were great to work with. Whole experience was great.

The price was right but they tried to cut corners at every step until I called them on it. I had to watch their every move or they would try and short-cut it. I am personally doing stuff they should have done. The more I do, I find more things done poorly or not at all.Would not recommend them at all.

Lowest estimate. Written estimate provided. They worked with our schedule. We had other projects going on in the house and they worked with us to work around the other contractors. They worked with us on the paint colors and recommended what type of paint to get for what we wanted. We also purchased the paint to save us a little money. They also came back to us with an offer to do needed areas with additional estimate for those small areas (closets). We were working under a tight budget due to other required repairs to the house so we were balancing budget and project. I had two issues with the paint job. First, my expectation was for the walls to be patched prior to painting (removal of nails or mount protectors; fill in of holes, etc). This was not done pre-painting. I contacted them after the job was complete and they returned to patch the areas. I believe they may have had a new employee working with them when they painted. So again, customer service was great with coordination and communication. Unfortunately, now, instead of seeing holes or painted over mount protectors, I can every area they patched and then painted over. I wanted clean, freshly painted walls in my house. I got clean, freshly painted walls with visible patch areas. The second issue was paint spotting on the kitchen floor. Not sure if the floor didn't get covered as this was the only floor area with this issue. when they returned to to patch the walls, they worked on the floor but didn't get it all up. I'm still scraping off small dots of paint from the tile floor. There was mention that it was not paint but plaster on the floor. There has not been any plaster work in that room in the 14 years we've owned the property. They were always friendly, professional and responsive. Just not the end result I was hoping for.

Working with Five Star Painting was a good experience from the beginning. When I called or texted the owner, Courtney, or project manager, Daniel, they always got back to me promptly. The painters were hard workers... an outside painting job in 90 degree weather...they were neat, and respectful, and provided quality work! Near the end of job, there were just a couple of items I wanted to address. Courtney and Daniel worked with me, a happy, satisfied customer... so that is why I gave Five Star Painting 5 stars!

Owner of company very professional. Workman did an excellent job. They checked with me about repairs discovered while they were working and I was given an estimate. No surprises when they collected the final payment. I wish all repairs were this easy!

They painted outside and in, great job, great attitude and work ethic from painters, who speak very highly of their boss (Courtney). Courtney (Owner) answered his phone EVERY time I called him and was exceptionally responsive to my concerns. Would use them again, highly recommend!

We hired Five Star to stain our front door, wooden garage door, gates, and paint the trim and windows around our house. They did a great job with the staining- the front door looks beautiful. However, the trim around the house and around the windows looked terrible- lots of paint on the stucco and areas that weren't even painted. After contacting Courtney, he sent a crew out right away to fix the work, which I appreciated. However, there are still areas where the paint is not straight as well as areas where there is brown paint on my tan stucco. I would appreciated a follow-up call to make sure that the errors were remedied (which they were not). At this point, I will be hiring someone else to come out and fix the errors.

This is the first time I hired a professional to do work on my house that did not have the tools to do the job, they borrowed my miter saw and compressor to complete the job. They also called me back to the room the were painting and installing crown molding to see if I know how to make the cuts for the corners.

Courtney and his team did an excellent job and were very professional. They repair and prepped the walls of the many holes before painting. I was very pleased with the quality of work that I even hired them to paint the exterior!
