My experience with findmycompany.com was marked by many challenges over an 8 month period of time (12 month contract which I ended early due to the types of issues you will read about below). I contracted with them to take over some of the SEO activities which I had previously performed. Here are some examples of the challenges: Their SEO contractors from the Philippines login attempts caused my Facebook, Yahoo and other accounts to be shut down due to the security concerns of Facebook and Yahoo. Findmycompany.com set up a YouTube Channel to market my business with a Title/Keyword of Idaho Falls which is 2000 miles away from my location in Greenville, South Carolina and copied YouTube videos from my personal YouTube channel to populate this channel. If you know anything at all about SEO, duplicate content is not looked upon favorably by Google. One of the videos in my channel was from my church, which of course had nothing at all to do with my business, but they used it as well. FindMyCompany changed graphics on my Google+ page without permission, and added a tracking phone number AFTER being advised that I did not want their tracking phone number on any media I had already established. I have since learned that Google doesn't permit tracking numbers on Google + pages other than tracking numbers which Google provides. I was cc'd on an intra company email which revealed other client(s) personally identifiable information (and dis-satisfaction). After multiple attempts to work with this company, and bringing my issues to the attention via cc'ing the CEO on emails to my rep.Rachael Star, there was no attempt by them to make things right. I've been hit with a $5000 early termination fee for ending this contract early. What is even more troubling is after many years of being number 1 in my market through SEO efforts of my own, I've been relegated to page 3.
