Mike was here for close to an hour diagnosing the problem. He then called to see about the availability of replacement parts. It turns out that the new parts would be outrageously expensive so we will have to replace the microwave. Since he could not fix it, Mike said there was no charge. We felt bad about that because he had been here for so long, but he refused payment. If I could give Expert Appliance Repair an A+++, I would. We will definitely be calling Mike back when the next appliance breaks--which will probably be sooner rather than later.

They were prompt, reliable and knew what they were doing.

Came out early (called beforehand), quickly assess compressor was broken on large fridge. He did not charge for the visit since he does not fix compressors. Have had him out to fix a noise issue before, and he has been quick, inexpensive and very personable. Would recommend him to anyone in a heartbeat, good to have help you trust.

On all his visits, Mike was on time, gave me complete details of what he was doing, and what was wrong. Ordered the lid switch and came back the following week, charged for a service call and the part $110.30 Because I had mentioned to him it was also not spinning out sometimes he tried to recreate the problem with no success. When he came in July he was pretty sure it was the clutch but had to take the whole machine apart to get to it so we scheduled it for July 25th. He was there at 7:30 a.m. as agreed, showed me what he was doing and it was fixed within 1.5 hours. He cleaned up and was very careful with turning the machine over. He did not charge me for the service call because of the first visit, just the part - which I thought was really fair for him to do that. I would definitely recommend him and use him again.

Mike showed up quickly and was actually able to diagnose the problem over the phone, so he was prepared when he arrived to fix it. Cleaned up after himself. Great job!

Mike was able to work with my schedule and came out to diagnose the problem and give me an estimate and check for parts availability. We set up a time to do the work. Once he installed the pump he found that a belt needed replacing as well and obtained that and installed it the same day. He also spent time to answer questions about strange happenings with my refrigerator. He was prompt, informative and easy to work with. I would definitely use him again and recommend him.

He arrived to fix the microwave that was running but not heating food. He explained the process as he worked on the microwave, including the list of potential problems and approximate costs. It turned out that the broken part was the most expensive scenario and he provided an estimate and discussed the option of fixing vs. purchasing a new unit. We opted for the repair which he did on site, having the needed part in his van. I asked him if he had time to look at our washing machine that wasn't filling properly and he agreed. Again he discussed possibly problems and quickly identified the issue. He fixed this on site, again having the needed part in his van. I was very pleased with his service, knowledge, professionalism and prices.

Had a dishwasher that just wasn't cleaning well. Called him on Saturday and he was booked and even offerred up a competitor to come on Saturday but I decided to wait till Monday. He showed up 15 minutes early. He took apart my dishwasher and found that it was all clogged, spent 1 hr cleaning everything and offerred up advise so it won't happen again. He was extremly knowledgable, friendly and professional. Mike is one of those rare old school guys who simply does a great job and let's his references speak for themselves. Would hire him in an instant if needed again.

First I did some research online and assumed the thermostat needed to be replaced.I called Mike to see what it would cost to get this replaced. He gave me the option to buy the part online or have him get it. The part was only slightly higher if he bought it so I went with him. He arrived at the house early and verified that the thermostat was the issue. Everything went great and now the oven works to the satisfaction of my tenants. It is hard to find reliable repair contractors, but Mike is somebody you can rely on. I will call on him again if I need appliances repaired. I did give him a B for responsiveness only because it seems the best way to get a hold of him is by phone. I believe he only checks his email at night.

It went good. He was excellent.

Mike showed up right on time and was very professional and friendly. He ran several diagnostic tests and determined my dryer would need a new motor. He quoted me a very fair repair price but also agreed with me that it made more sense to just buy a new dryer. Mike was also kind enough to let me pick his brain a bit about appliances in general and his feelings on the different models.

He came right out and diagnosed the problem. It took him a few days to get all of the parts needed (it was a holiday weekend), but he was very responsive and nice. He fixed the problem and after a couple of trips to the house, still came in under what we expected to pay. He even fixed a separate problem that we were having with the fridge door. He was there before he said he would be and went above and beyond to get our fridge fixed. I would definitely recommend him and would use him again!

Mike was super friendly and on time to the minute!! He looked at a few other appliances, not originally a part of the service call, while he was trouble shooting my dishwasher so he could give me quotes and opinions while he was in my home. I appreciated that he didn't just stand around waiting for the thing to run and instead took the opportunity to address any other problems I was having. He explained the problems, showed me the broken parts and was generally very helpful. Knock on wood, hopefully the rest of the appliances will be on their best behavior, but if not we will definitely call Mike.
