+ -1 moreAs feared, analysis determined that motherboard and power supply were fried. Recommended replacing desktop with new computer because it would cost too much to replace motherboard with an outdated, most likely used motherboard that would meet specs of the 5-6 year old computer. We would still then have an outdated, obsolete computer that might be subject to early failure. When I decided to replace the desktop with a laptop, they offered to help me setup the laptop (proved not to be necessary) and to recover key files from the old hard disk drive that was on the desktop. They were able to remove the desktop HDD, place it in another powered disk enclosure, and successfully recover all of our photos, key documents, and most of our archived email. Without their assistance, I wouldn't have been able to accomplish this.
Description of Work: Analyzed crashed desktop computer that wouldn't power up or even power up to the BIOS setting.
