+ -1 moreThe guy who came did a good and great job. The job itself entails a messy process, but he cleaned up and there were no dust and mess after. It was amazing and he did it in one day.

+ -1 moreThey were fine. I asked him if he could do it and he told me to contact the manufacturer and I’m working with that now. It was a very positive experience. He was very professional. He seemed to know what he was talking about. For what I asked him, he gave me some more information that I need to research.
Description of Work: Elements Hardwood Flooring Design came out to look at my flooring issues. They just came to look and give me some information.

Description of Work: We closed on our new house towards the end of last month. The engineered wood floor was all scratched up by the previous owners' dog. The bedrooms and hallway had a nasty old carpet in them so the whole lot had to go. We needed to have carpet and wood floors taken out and all new wood floors installed in the space of about a week. We were shopping around for flooring companies, when our realtor told us about Ron, who had done some good work for a friend of his. Ron was super-prompt and very down-to-earth. He gave us a good quote and a promise to get the job done as fast as humanly possible. There was a bit of a problem with the wood supplier at the outset, but Ron made it happen. He got to work as soon as our contract was signed and did a great job in record time. Also, his crew was so great, we hired them to do some other work (they build, paint etc.).

+ 0 moreIt was wonderful I had a limited amount of time and he was working around another contractor he was professional and he had no problem with my being there when I was trying to paint the floor molding prior to his installing, while I was in his way. He went the extra mile and never went over budget. Because I wanted wood and I didn't have a lot of give he even shimmed the door so he could put in the proper finish and protection. there is a specific name for this but I just don't remember what is was called, didn't belong to Angie's list when the work was done but even after a year the work is lovely!!
Description of Work: Conferred with Mr. Hampton prior to buying wood for recommendations regarding type, prices and where to purchase the wood, while he could get the wood for me he did not push me in a specific direction. When I found the wood he went to the place I wanted to purchase it from to give me his opinion of the wood I had selected. Based on his recommendation and my own research I purchased that wood. The entire floor was pulled out and a wood floor installed for several thousand less than anywhere else and the work was beautiful. He loves wood and it shows in his work. I had seen a floor he had done from old barn wood that he restored and installed and while that was not in my budget the way he talked about the wood and after speaking with the person who had these floors it was an easy choice.
