The technician arrived on time and quickly identified the problem as a blown capacitor. He explained the visual signs of a damage capacitor to me and still tested it confirm. He was professional and asked if the rate structure was explained to me when I booked the service. It turned out the service charge was less than what I was told overthe phone which is always great to hear. He had the part on hand in his truck and went over the details of the install and cost ahead of time. We were planning to sign up for an annual service program and was able to do so on the spot and receive the discount even though he wasn’t able to do the service that day. Very professional and experienced tech and look forward to continued business with them.

Odd situation. Our A/C has been out for two weeks. Wanted 3 bids and had Efficient come out for one of them. Had a good conversation on-site then didn't hear from them or receive a bid for over a week. I didn't follow up with them, but shouldn't have to. Went with someone else.

The technician was on time & pleasant. He wore shoe covers when inside my home, I appreciated that. He appeared to be thorough checking the system and explained what he was seeing. Afterwards he provided me with the recommendations. That’s when it became a sales pitch and attempt to play on a homeowners fears. There was a leak in the system. How much? 4lbs of Freon @ 275.00, need to replace air exchange because of corrosion causing leak, no water protection float. Total $3000-4000. Hmmm don’t need float - have primary & secondary drains. Corrosion is normal, and should have lost more than 50%. Time for 2nd opinion. 180 degrees different, Freon added - 2lbs @ $65, tighten the connections and recheck function. Gee AC operating at full potential. Glad I got that 2nd opinion, won’t need 2 opinions to know not to trust these guys

I cannot recommend Cody Jemes high enough. We had an appointment, he arrived right on time, found the problem to be a GFI outlet had switched turning off another GFI that controls the above socket in question. And what impressed me the most was that Cody did not accept payment even though I insisted because he thought the work was trivial. He made the trip to my home and did the work for free, leaving me highly impressed by his work ethic ! He will be my go to man from here on for anything electrical. Thanks Cody !

Service was set up quickly, on our schedule. Technician called ahead before arrival, was early but not a problem. Service performed promptly. Technician, Arthur Thomas, answered all questions about the system, did not try to up sell or sell other products. Recommendations made on thermostat for more efficiency and if system experiences problems.

Appointment on time and ready to work. Problems of air conditioner were fixed before the year was out at no cost.

The team from Efficient AC was prompt, courteous, and very professional. Everything went perfectly, and we couldn't be happier with the results. We met with several highly-rated AC companies prior to selecting Efficient. We felt they all would have done a good job, and all the estimates were close in price. What sold us on Efficient was that they match the manufacturer's parts warranty with their own labor warranty. That, and having been in business for 41 years, makes us confident that Efficient will be there when we need them. Finally, the sales VP from Efficient was extremely knowledgeable. He promptly (and in detail) answered our numerous questions, including responding to emails over the weekend, which was very helpful in selecting the units that were right for us.

As a result of this experience, I will no longer be using Angies LIST!!! So sad as I have been a member for our 5 years!!

The technician was punctual and polite. He checked the compressor, identified that the Capacitor had gone out, and said he could replace it, which he did so quickly. The price for the housecall was $99 and the price for the capacitor was $270. It's clear that capacitors can be bought substantially cheaper at a local hardware store, but some research suggests that even this markup was excessive, perhaps 80-100% more than what I should otherwise expect. Additionally, the company's own standard pricing for a housecall including an A/C tuneup was $89, so the labor for this call was higher for less service. For August in Austin, I do expect to pay a premium for quick responses, but this seemed excessive. I might consider using them again for A/C services, but probably only with comparison quotes, and not on short notice where they'll have the advantage over me.

I've had nothing but good experiences with them. Everything went well. The price was a lot, but it was fair.

Cody was amazing! Had a good, cost-effective way to fix the plumber's mistake and talked me through the pricing for a number of issues around the house. I had him to an inspection of our panel (which couldn't be inspected before we bought the house because former owners had partly covered it up); he brought our kitchen outlets up to code (they weren't GFCI). He also looked at some problematic outlets in the garage. I have an electric car (Chevy Volt) and my manufacturer's EVSE has started to melt and corrode. Cody offered a variety of solutions and has been very helpful as I research aftermarket options (Chevy recently changed their warranty for their electric cars and while my EVSE had been covered before July 31st, it no longer is). He was here for just under 3 hours.

Great. Technician identified that the source of the issue was electrical, and not related to the unit. Despite not being able to resolve the issue, he performed a thorough inspection and was very informative regarding regular/preventative care for the unit. Very friendly and professional experience from start to finish.
