Description of Work: A/C was shutting off intermittently. They were able to schedule an appointment for the following day. I got a courtesy call when they were 30 minutes out. The technician was very professional and efficient. I was very pleased with the service experience.

Description of Work: Got estimate thru my property mgmnt comp. Told them to go ahead. In about 3 days from that the job was completed at exactly, down to the penny, of the estimate. They gave the lowest estimate and did the work quickly.

Description of Work: Efficient Air Conditioning surpassed all our expectations when they came to our house last August. The air conditioning system they installed was extremely effective and amazingly quiet. And their installers did a thorough job in a surprisingly short time. We would unhesitatingly recommend them to anyone in need of a new air conditioning system.

Description of Work: I called Efficient AC about a shut-down heat pump. They arrived promptly and fixed the problem with a new part. |My only reservation is their pricing schedule. They claim to have standard rates for their services, but they break down each visit into several services: house call, diagnosing, installing a part, the part itself, etc. This can make a 1/2 hour visit to replace a $10 part very expensive, i.e., $300+. Otherwise, they seem to be very professional.

Description of Work: I purchased a deal for 2 hours of electrical labor. Ian replaced 2 ceiling fans (including assembling both the new ones) and installed a new light in a bedroom closet. He made sure everything was working perfectly before he left including correcting a wiring issue from a previous repair. In addition he came up with a suggestion for a wall switch that would solve a problem we had been having. He had the switch on his truck and installed it in no time. He completed all the tasks in the time allotted. He was very professional and courteous. We would definitely use them again.

Description of Work: I met with the technician and have agreed to delay the work for a few weeks. No work was done and he said I could retain my services with him until such time we are ready to do the work. He was polite, easy to understand, and very professional.

Description of Work: Electrician installed a pair of digital timers for our bathroom fan and heater. I needed someone to diagnose a strange undervoltage issue I saw when I attempted to replace the switches. He correctly diagnosed a problem at the breaker box, replaced a faulty breaker and reseated the rest. Problem solved, with time to spare. With time left on my 2 hours, he helped me label all of the breakers in the panel by identifying the writing on the bare wires and by "sounding out" the effects when we tripped them. Very helpful.

Description of Work: We used Efficient A/C where I work. They bid and installed 3 5-ton A/C units to replace 20 year old units. The units were installed in 2 days, as promised. Excellent personnel and attitude.

Description of Work: I have very mixed feelings about this company because I think that several of the individuals who came to provide electrical service did a very nice, professional job. They were very good to work with. However, we had an issue in which we had an electrical emergency and called them for help. I was told by James that the arching and electrical sparks coming from our fuse box (which Efficient had replaced) were not an emergency even though he didn't come see it, and it would be difficult for them to come out that day (it was a Saturday) because they were having a company picnic. Instead he recommended I call the City of Austin (who actually did arrive on time and provided good information for me)to make sure it was not an issue with the electrical service provided by the City. When somebody from Efficient did finally arrive the following Monday, they found an issue with the fuse in the fuse box and said that they fixed it. We were not at home at the time because they hadn't told us they were coming. When we arrived home, however, we found most of our major appliances were burned out. Efficient did send somebody else out Monday evening to look at everything for us and he was great. However, he did diagnose the problem as an electrical surge, which we still find hard to believe given the coincidence with work done earlier that day. I don't plan on using them again in the future unless it is for warranty work on the fuse box. I do plan on having a third party come out to inspect the fuse box to ensure that it was actually installed properly.
