Efficient AC, Electric & Plumbing

It went very well. The people with this company are very nice to do business with; totally professional, efficient, and personable.

It went fantastic. The person that came out told me what the problem with the AC was, which was a lack of Freon. I know it is pretty common, but he showed me how to put it in, how it worked and what he did and how everything works and where it came in the air conditioning. He basically explained what he was doing while he was doing it. And then the air conditioner needed additional Freon, more than what the deal was going to cover, so he asked me about that prior to just doing it, which I appreciated. He gave me a quote before he did it and let me decide whether or not I wanted to spend the extra money. He made sure that we had all the information to take on in case anything happens. He came out within a week.

He inspected the unit and added freon. No problems were found.

On time, very good explaining details and plans. Clean and friendly.

Efficient Air Conditioning Inc came out to Taylor, TX and looked at current panel. That lead to additional work. (see my comments above). The electrician was very knowledgeable and and extremely helpful. I will likely use their services once I am ready to get the work done in the future.

Our home warranty company had sent out a different company about a month before, but we weren't sure about their repairs. So when we saw the coupon for HVAC diagnostics and tune-up, we bought it and scheduled them to come out. They were very professional, and methodical, and explained everything clearly, even though they knew we'd be calling our home warranty company for any actual repairs. They found (1) primary drain pan with a crack; (2) drain line not glued properly; (3) unit low on R22; (4) evaporator coil with an extreme amount of rust. With that information, we called the warranty company and had them send someone else out; they replaced the indoor unit as should have been done the first time. We are seriously considering not maintaining our home warranty contract just so that we can use Efficient in the future.

My husband said nice man came out and hooked gauges to AC. The guy said AC was low and a loose cap was probably the problem. He added seven pounds of freon. Put cover back on, but left screws in AC where my husband found them when my husband cleaned compressor unit because AC guy hadn't. He was pretty upset that if leak wasn't caused by cap, it will all leak back out again. My husband emailed in a complaint and said lady called a couple times wanting to ensure we were happy (good thing) and said somebody would come back out and check on unit free of charge. A week or so later my husband hooked up with someone at shop. They talked awhile and service guy (my husband said he seemed like a nice guy) asked my husband would he had paid about $400 more for testing if they offered to look for leak? My husband didn't tell me what he told him, but by then too late as service was already done. My husband told me no offer of free check was mentioned specifically that he can remember, but he is an honest man and will admit somewhat hard of hearing. My husband said he just wanted to move on and didn't want to pay them again to recheck unit. We will check in spring to see if all freon gone, or sooner if unit freezes up again. He told guy he wouldn't say anything on Craigslist and he won't. He is still somewhat upset so I will. Word of advice, no matter who you call, check on price of freon and other services before you pay for or sign anything. This might be a good company that normally does excellent work. Not everyone is perfect and we understand that.

Very polite, helpful businesslike

I purchased the A/C tuneup for $77. I'd had another company come out when my outdoor unit stopped running and they replaced the capacitor. This other company also told me that I had a leak, my coolant was low, that it was very expensive to repair the leak, and gave me some prices for a new HVAC system. I wanted another opinion, so when I saw the angie's list deal, which included adding coolant, I bought it. Setting up a time was done very efficiently, and Ernest came out later that week on one of my suggested times. He was very courteious and knowledgeable. He added the coolant, insulated some pipes and said in general things looked good. He also answered my questions about how much life it had left in it. All in all, I was glad for the 2nd opinion, and also to get the low coolant replaced. When I am ready to replace the unit, I will probably call them again for a quote.

We purchased an Angie's list special for both units. The company called quickly to schedule. Ernest showed up ontime. He was very helpful, informative, professional. He gave us confidence in the company. We would recommend him/efficient air.

Service was fast, efficient, flawless. The technician was attentive and responsive to questions. My A/C seems to be running more smoothly now with the coolant refilled and filter correctly put on, and has reduced my electric bill since the service date. Thanks!

Our A/C wall unit in our server room stopped cooling on October 1st. I called Efficient Air and scheduled a service call for Oct. 2nd. They were on-time, courteous, professional and resolved the issue quickly. I would highly recommend Efficient Air Conditioning.

Adam went above and beyond. I recently bought a new thermostat and he mounted it properly in the wall. Found my problem and resolved it at a reasonable charge.

We were scheduled right away. Everyone from the office staff to Ernest, who came to service our units, was super nice and helpful. Ernest worked around our "old house" space restrictions, squeezing in tight places with a smile. I would highly recommend them to anyone!!

The worker was great in his responses of the age of my unit and pointed out some shortcomings on the new units in the market. He provided a detailed workup of the work he had completed and was very responsive to any clarifying questions I asked. Would definitely use this vendor in the future.

Ernest was on time, efficient, knowledgeable, professional, personable, and very informative answering the bunch of questions I had, both general and specific. He definitely improved both systems, one because it was in serious need of coil cleaning, the other because it needed refrigerant, which was included in the cost. There were no surprise charges or attempts to sell something which I didn't request. He didn't waste any time, but also took extra time at my request to help me understand these systems and their current status. On the Angie's List coupon this is definitely a very good deal. His time alone had to be worth a lot more than the cost to me. I would definitely work with this company, and Ernest in particular, in the future. As I understand it, they have a maintenance plan which is of very reasonable cost and would seem to be necessary and appropriate for my household, so I intend to follow through with that.

I contacted Efficient at approx. 7:50am to schedule someone to come to my home. The problem was that the AC wasn't working properly. At approx. 10:30am the technician arrived and preferment a complete inspection of my entire system. The drain line was clogged and was flushed clean. Everything else checked out to be working properly. I had purchased a new thermostat prior to his arrival. He installed the thermostat in approx. 15 minutes with a problem. This was one of the best responses I have ever had in any company coming to do any repairs. I will definitely recommend this company to anyone that needs their AC worked on. I am pleased with all that they did for me. Thanks!

Adam from Efficient Air Conditioning came out to inspect the AC system in the house we just bought. He was very prompt and polite. After inspecting the system thoroughly, he spent a fair amount of time explaining what he found, including photos. The AC needs a fair amount of work to function at its best. However, since the system is 24 years old, we will likely replace it instead of investing more in repairs. We wil have Efficient Air Conditioning out to work up a plan for replacing the system.

He was on time, and very professional

The lady, Mandi did a wonderful work. She spent more than two house to check the details of the AC unit and pointed out every little places may have issues, and gave advice how to better maintain the unit. She also added more Freon to make sure the temperature difference is more than 18. The additional Freon is $67 per pound which is not bad. Highly recommended! Thanks!

Adam came out performed the service I purchased on Angie's list for $77. He asked if there were any issues and I told him about our master bedroom that always has been warm since moving in 2 years ago, he went about his business to service our A/C. He brought to my attention the condensation on our unit and the water insdie the unit along with our main drain being clogged up. He fixed the clog (an extra cost but understandable) and noticed that a plug was not inserted properly in a pipe that comes out of the main unit for drainage (I forgot what he called the technical name of the part). This piece caused the unit to not shutdown as it should when water is sensed which accounted for the amount of water in the main unit. He put in some taps which helped with the drainage and also brought to my attention that someone had torn off the inside insulation on the removable unit cover which was another reason for the condensation. I will fix that part myself but I was very impressed by his knowledge and suggestions to fix things. Getting back to the master bedroom, it appears the builder skimped when they put the unit in (yes, I know hard to believe a builder would cut costs) and undersized the duct going from the main unit by 2-inches and connected it up into a box (he called it a cheese box) and had way to many egress points, one of which goes to the master bedroom. I will probably call back and request for Adam to come out an retro-fit this area of our system to get better airflow into that room. Overall I was very happy to have Adam come out and help us out. Good to have piece of mind on a very important piece of our house!
