Efficient AC, Electric & Plumbing

Once I spoke to the actual Technicians - instead of the individuals doing the scheduling - the timing and punctuality was more precise; prior to that I had to make a few phone calls. David and Mardi arrived when he/she said they would. They had their little booties to protect my floors and carpet (yay), and they were both professional yet friendly and engaging. I was very comfortable with having them off on their own without looking over their shoulder. They had to pick up the power from my study to install a requested hallway outlet; and from a light fixture to install the other - both of these required making a new hole in the sheet rock, which was done - they cleaned up after themselves. During the course of the work, I was repeatedly notified (in laymans terms) on what was discovered and needed to be done, and/or given the choice so I could make an informed decision. That was appreciated. The Technicians did not have my color switch on hand, so a temporary was used, and I was told they would return the next day to replace; which was promptly done the next morning. Upon their return, I inquired about the possibility of installing a vent fan in a toilet space, and even without my commiting to it - about 30 minutes was spent crawling around my attic to verify the possibility, then advising me on what my options could be. I was extremely happy with David and Mardi's service, and would definately use them again.

Efficient Air was my fourth estimate for a new A/C/Heating system, and Darwin really nailed it. He's a fun, patient, highly intelligent, super helpful guy, who has a passion for designing air conditioning systems. By the end of his pitch, I could see how amateurish and untrustworthy the other sales reps/companies that had given me their estimates were. He really seems to care about your satisfaction from beginning to end. He'd always pick up or get back to me soon with any phone calls, and ended one call saying he would be right over with an expert to do a last minute inspection of my air ducts and address a last-minute concern I had. In the end, to allay my concern over mold in the air ducts, he said he'd install some new flex air ducts for what another a/c company said was at cost of material or below cost (when I was having mold removed from house, contractor brought in a/c guy to give estimate on flex ducts). I needed to have mold removed from my A/C closet, and Darwin even agreed to disassemble and take away my old A/C and then come back to install the new one right after the mold remediation was completed, and before I signed a formal agreement. And Tony and another man whose name escapes me took away my old A/C and installed the new A/C and were both outstanding as well. Tony was very patient answering all my questions and left me feeling very confident they did a top-notch installation (inspector just came today and when I was in another room, I heard him say under his breath, "Very nice job."). I went with a higher-end system than I received any other estimates for, but the pricing on the other mid-range system Darwin gave me was the same as other estimates I got on lower-quality brands. Dustin was another employee I interacted with regarding paperwork and duct work, and another consummate professional. I'm new to Austin and a first-time homebuyer who has had a lot of work done on my house, and I've quickly learned how difficult it is to find service providers you can trust. Whoever owns this company knows how to hire, keep his employees happy/engaged, and the importance of a good client experience from end to end. And they offered me zero percent financing, and I received a couple thousand dollars in rebates (the best time for A/C rebates is when you don't need one).

He helped us get the most out of the unit as well as how to effectively and efficiently cool down the home. He told me he would have his company contact us regarding Mitsubishi units we were considering. They did not contact us, so we found a local company to purchase the units. We just prefer using smaller local companies.

Showed me I had a small fire in the ceiling fan nook. I had them check other things and they didn't try to upsell me, but spoke in simple terms and I appreciate that. They were very efficient and performed quality work. Would definitely use them again!

I highly recommend Efficient Air and Electric for any electrical jobs you need done. David and Marty were amazing. They came in and immediately began working on the projects I had for them to do, along with offering suggestions and checking things for me I for my upcoming kitchen remodel. I am pleasantly pleased and feel confident I now have someone to call for any lighting or air needs I have. Great job and very professional! I will be calling them again!

The house call went very well: gthe provider arrived on time after calling earlier to assure me that he would be arriving in the next 10-15 minutes. He got right to work upon arrival and climbed the pull down stairs to access the attic which houses the furnance. He completed his maintenance tasks effciently and gave me a full account on what he found when checking the furnance and what he had done to ensure it was in safe and efficient operating condition. I will contact his company soon to check out the air conditioning system even tho this service will not be offered as a "deal" as was the furnace maintenance.

Told me about the preventative maintenance plan that includes bi-annual inspections of heating and AC units to prevent future problems.

Scheduling was easy and very quick. They came on time and spent the time it took to clean up and perform a maintenance on our unit. I will call them again!

Mandi is an excellent technician. She kept us appraised of her arrival time and was very punctual. She's very professional and explained in detail the services she was performing. She also kept us informed on status of work. She stayed true to cost and made sure everything was functioning properly before leaving. She even replaced the air filters in our home. She was here about an hour and a half. Based on this individual experience I would highly recommend Efficient Air Conditioning.

Both times the electricians were helpful, polite and gave me an estimate of when I could expect them. The first electricians came out and gave me a bid on replacing the unresponsive breaker and discussed all my options with me. Because of the age of the breaker panel and the cost of the individual breaker needing to be replaced, they told me about the deal on replacing the whole panel. In the meantime, one electrician managed to get that breaker working and checked to make sure that no other breakers had been tripped or were malfunctioning. I went out in the afternoon and came home in the early evening to discover that my heater was not working for some reason. I called and the after-hours service contacted an electrician on call. He returned my call within minutes and explained the extra cost if he came out after hours. Since the temperatures were expected to be in the 20s that evening, I agreed to pay the charges for him to come to my place. It turns out that the thermostat on the wall in my house was not working and wouldn't tell the heater to turn on. The most it would do is turn on the fan. This electrician again gave me all my options and luckily had new thermostats in his truck that he could immediately install. He promptly replaced the thermostat and made sure that it and the heater were working before he left.

Tech presented a very thorough analysis. He provided a written report. At the time, I could not afford his recommendations, so I did not purchase his services.

It was good. We haven't had any problems. I liked the price, it was low cost. We had a little problem with the scheduling. I told them that I worked night and then they called during the morning. When I went over the meet them, they weren't there so we had a little bit of problem with the scheduling but it worked out.

We recently moved into our house and always thought a home surge protector would be a great thing to have. When the big deal was posted, one of the criteria was to have two open breaker slots for the home surge protector stuff. We checked our breaker panel in the garage and there were two open slots. So, we bought the big deal from Efficient Air Conditioning & Electric and spoke with Michelle for scheduling. Bill Santiago, the electrician, came out to our house as scheduled. That's when we found out that the home surge protector is installed in a breaker panel outside by the electric meter - not the one in the garage. Mr. Santiago kindly pointed out that our house already has a home surge protector. We asked him some questions regarding electric work on a project that we will be doing in the near future. We will be contacting him for that work when we get ready with that project. I called Michelle at the office regarding how to get a refund and she was very understanding and said to go through Angie's List for a full refund - no charge for the electrician to come out to the house. We will definitely be using them in the future.

It went well, though capacitor for A/C unit ended up blowing out several weeks later. Called company back to repair the unit and everything has been fine since then.

On the day of a sleet storm in Central Texas, our furnace stopped working. We tried troubleshooting ourselves, but couldn't ascertain the issue. Then, we called Efficient the following morning. They answered the phone, and quickly got us an appointment. Adam arrived within two hours of the call. He was very courteous, polite, and professional. He went to work with the diagnostics and soon found the problem was our old thermostat. He then explained our options, and promptly installed the new one. Adam gave us an overview of the new capabilities of the thermostat and made we understood. The furnace is working perfectly, and we're looking forward to AC Season with our new programmable thermostat.

They are well staffed and were able to get the broken unit replaced in a timely manner. The tenant was thrilled. In the second unit, the tenant was also very pleased. They did an excellent job.

My husband worked with a local firm to redesign a commercial system that used chill water to cool and hot water to heat our 48000 sq ft house. It is a highly energy efficient system. The manufacturer does not have any resources in place to handle regular maintenance nor do the owner provide any documentation of how the system function. After my husband passed away, I was stuck trying to figure out how to maintain and upgrade the system. I found Robert Lee, who came in and figure out how the system work, coordinated with the manufacturer for parts, clean up and upgrade the system . In general they maintAined the system for me. Robert is knowledgeable, professional, ethical, fair, responsive, and client oriented. His attitude is reflected in his crew. Efficient Air is a top notch company

FOLKS THIS COMPANY IS SERVICE ORIENTED. DUSTIN CAME BACK OUT AND REMOUNTED THE THERMOSTAT ALSO I HAVE ON ORDER A NEW HONEYWELL THERMOSTAT TO REPLACE THIS HUNTER ( WHICH IS NOT DESIGNED TO GOOD) AND DUSTIN SAID GIVE THEM A CALL AND THEY WILL DO A REINSTALL. THANK YOU

They did a good job for us! He actually unclogged one drain. This was the first time I’ve used them and I’d use them again. I’d recommend them because the price was decent and we’ve had no issues with the unit since.

During this service they discovered that my air conditioner had a leak, so I chose to install a whole new unit.
