Efficient AC, Electric & Plumbing

He was on time. He did an excellent job putting a new outlet in our laundry room. He was very knowledgeable about the type of outlet to be installed and any building codes involved with outlet placement. Walls and floor were clean when he was finished. He also hung a ceiling fan, cleaning up when he had finished. This was done in the 2-hour limit of the deal. We are so very pleased with his work. We would definitely use him again.

They were fast and cleaned up all packaging/mess as well. Will call again for future needs.

Showed up on time to fix an electrical issue in the garage. The builder installed a GFCI incorrectly, causing the refrigerator in the garage to shut off whenever it rained outside (sounds crazy, I know!). It took all of 20 minutes for the problem to be fixed and the tech checked for similar issues throughout the house, and found another one. It's been several months now, and everything is working great!

It was good. They were worth it. The guy was really nice and he even did a little bit extra. He went ahead and replaced the outdoor box for free and that was really good.

They gave me an estimate, when I called back a month later the man who gave me the initial estimate was no longer with them and another man came out and I received a higher estimate since more work now needed to be completed. I put the work on hold due to myself having a lot going on. I think the provider would have worked out if I were in the position to get the work done.

Ian was great! He was personable, knowledgable and knew exactly what to do. He cleaned up his mess and was very respectful of my home.

The service tech (Tony) was at my door early Monday morning. He was very professional and was able to explain everything necessary. This was my second experience with Efficient AC and Electrical and it was as good as the first experience. I gave a B for pricing only because I perceive that the price I paid was a bit high for checking out the units. Overall, worth the price. These guys are good.

All staff members provided OUTSTANDING customer service, experience and attention to detail. Will use them for all my Electrical and HVAC needs. And I will refer my friends to Efficient as well.

Yesterday I tripped two GFCI circuits during the rain but I wasn't able to reset them. I looked up and called Efficient this morning to see when they could come out and check things out. The receptionist was very friendly and able to arrange a service call the same day. Ian (the electrician) was a consummate professional. He was able to identify and resolve the issue which caused the CFCI circuit issue. Because he was there, he wanted to make sure that I got value for my money. He spent the next couple of hours looking for and fixing potential issues in an upcoming home inspection. This ended up saving us both money and headache in the future.

We already knew the issues with the 3 outlets, they had been disconnected because they were aluminum wiring. This is a pier and beam home built in 1942. The provider spent about an hr verifying this and then basically since they had no materials on their truck we have to stop. They did tell me they could go to home depot to get the wiring material, but this would be part of the 2 hr allotted time. Since we did know that the outlets needed to be reconnected with copper wire I did not use them for going to Home Depot for me. Basically, it would have been better if being an electrician they would have had materials. I would have paid additional time and materials, but not for shopping for materials.

Awesome! We found the service on Angie's List and used a coupon. Their administrative team was awesome - easy to get a hold of and very efficient and well run. Our technician, Ian, was great - he clearly knew exactly what he was doing. He did a great job of explaining the problem and clearly enjoys what he does. Great experience all around - highly recommend.

The technician called to let me know he was running a bit late. When he arrived, he looked at the items to be repaired then got to work. Not only did he repair all the items, he explained to me what was wrong with them. He then told me about a service they can perform which would provide surge protection to the entire home with insurance if any problem arose. He also suggested other preventative measures I might take to avoid future issues. Ian did not hard sell, but did provide an estimate for work which could be done. I was pleased that all the things were repaired within the two hour time frame.

Ian was professional, knowledgeable and informed me about some electoral issues in our home.

[Updates 3/19/2015] The review and ratings has been updated based on followups initiated by Efficient Air Conditioning & Electric. I didn't write up the review until more than a year has passed. Not sure why but I tend to write positive reviews much faster than the less positive ones. I'm glad Angie's List called me on providing feedback on this because it actually made a big difference. When Efficient AC found out the not-so-positive review I gave, Kate started to send me messages to find out what went wrong. It was pretty surprising since the installation was done over a year ago and I didn't really expect anything to happen. After she learned the whole picture she offered partial refund to compensate my loss, even though I didn't have all paperwork for the history. This is pretty amazing and I have to say I'm very much impressed on how hard the company is willing to work in order to keep their customers happy. Obviously this has regained my confidence on the company and I will definitely consider to use them again in the future. And lesson learned, feedback/complain right away instead of hesitating if anything goes wrong. Angie's List does work! [Original Review] Initially everything went pretty smoothly. Bill was on time and gave me a pretty good estimate for a couple of additional items. I did get quotes from couple of other companies and it looked like he had the best price and the company has lots of good reviews online, so I went with him. However, things are going downhill right after that. After Bill finished the installation, he gave me a bill that is much higher than the original estimate. I bought a $1200 Big Deal from Angie's List and with the extras the initial estimate was around $1500, the final bill is about $2300, what a ripoff!! It's actually higher than two other quotes I got from other reputable vendors. Another thing is there were marks next to the breakers that indicate which breaker controls which room. The marks were on the old board and he said that he?s going to write them down on the new board after the installation is done. Then I found out that after he finished the work, nothing was marked on the breaker box. When I asked him, he told me that he didn?t see anything written on the original board. Until I insisted he then admitted and said he will come back to finish it. We had to make another appointment. Had to stay at home for another 4 hours and watch him trying to figure out what breaker controls which room and then he said he cannot figure them all out. I think he was just trying to save his time while he wasted a lot of mine. There are still quite a few unmarked breakers that are annoying whenever we need to find the right one. I also got a quote from the same company for 2 A/C units, which is a much larger project. But after the breaker box work, I am not going to use them again, ever. Karma really works out as it should be here, didn't it?

James the master electrician was very responsive to phone calls, polite, and professional, and when his understudy (i think?) couldnt solve the problem on his first house visit, james himself came back promptly and free of charge, to attempt to diagnose the problem himself. he was successful in doing so, and explained every step of what he was doing and finding, including the electrical codes that were not adhered to by the original builders (kanga room systems--need to write a negative review for them. just FYI). james then sent his guy back out to solve the problem in the way he described would be done. they were quick and professional and courteous, though as is typical in the construction trades, didnt clean up very well after themselves. ive never had to hire an electrician before so i dont have a frame of reference for their prices, which seemed on the higher end, however, i feel they were well worth it since they eventually were able to diagnose and solve a problem that had eluded a previous electrician, and were thorough, courteous, prompt, etc.

Did a great job, were able to clearly communicate to me the parts I needed from Home Depot, cleaned up all messes, and double checked all of their work to make sure all outlets were functioning properly, especially the GFI outlets. David was even nice enough to write down exactly what I needed from Home Depot so that I got the right parts which ensured that everyone's time was used effectively. Would absolutely use Efficient A/C & Electric again. Both the electrician (David Bornemann) and his apprentice were very professional and I would highly recommend them to anyone I know.

Excellent service, prompt, on time, found the problem right away, and fixed it. Communication was outstanding, very professional. I will definately call them again for electrical issues. I used a coupon they had on Angie's List which saved on the cost.
