Efficient AC, Electric & Plumbing

Service worked out really well. I got estimates before using this company and they were very competitive. They came when they said they would and very responsive. Extremely professional. The workers made sure to clean up after themselves. They were very good. I was extremely pleased. I would recommend them.

The service was fine. They were on time, they were professional, and they did a good job. I wouldn't use them anymore because I don't live in Austin anymore.

When my AC wasn't working over the 4th of July weekend I needed someone to take a look at it fast. It was late on a Saturday, so options were very limited. Efficient was able to have someone at my house that night to work on it. Unfortunately, there was a leak in the coil and a valve had frozen so they couldn't recharge it and get it running. But they were back with a new coil in a couple of days. Within a few hours of starting the system up again my house had gotten back to the temperature I wanted.

It went well. The units work well, and when I needed some minor repairs due to part failure, they were quick to solve them.

Very prompt. Took care of repairs quickly and efficiently. Will use again.

Fast, excellent work, and cost effective

He checked the house wiring. Rewired my patio and back yard wiring. Found two wiring problems that if not corrected could have caused a fire.

Very well. He did a great job and even answered additional questions we had after the work was done.

Great job. Clearly explained options, costs, pros and cons. Competitive quote, did not use subs, had a QA guy come out to check their work, and filed the paperwork to get me a rebate from the electric company.

He defrosted and educated on what we could do to in the future to keep from having same problem.

Work done. Filters replaced. Air conditioner still works great. Needed to add refrigerant. Gave me option to buy new unit. Clean work.

I called in a broken a/c unit in mid-afternoon on a Sunday. The technician was at my home within a few hours and immediately provided a work-around that kept the unit cooling the house through the night. Next day, he replaced a malfunctioning board and restored the unit to working shape. Through the process, he communicated with me by phone every step of the way. I could not be happier about that level of service. As you probably know, there are good reports and scary reports out there about service calls. This was an excellent experience.

Great. I thought it was an electrical problem, so called an electrician to come out first (not from Efficient -- should have just called Efficient since they do electrical AND AC). The electrician determined it was an AC issue. While the electrician was still here, I gave Efficient a call. Promptly, they had Robert from Efficient give me a call back. The electrician got to tell Robert over the phone what he found. Robert then explained to me what he thought was the problem, although he couldn't diagnose it without actually seeing it. Over the phone he told me the estimated costs associated with what he thought was wrong. He didn't pressure me to have him come out. His response was very thorough. I ended up asking him to come out and confirm. He did, and was at my house within 90 minutes on a Saturday. The visit cost $155 (considered an emergency call) and if we decide to purchase our new AC unit through Efficient that will be credited. Robert was very professional, knowledgable, had helpful and I'm really glad I called. Thank you for being so responsive on a hot Saturday!

I was very pleased to find out that Efficient A/C would come on Labor Day for only $20 more than their Mon - Fri service charge. The technician showed up about 1.5 hours after I called. He diagnosed the issue, explained the repair and cost and got it fixed quickly. Excellent response time, price and repair!

Ben agreed to come out on a Saturday night on Labor Day weekend. He quickly figured out the issue but spent the time to get it resolved. Very professional.

I had called my usual company, a major competitor, only to be told someone would arrive before 6pm that day. I took a chance and called this company and they immediately dispatched a technician, Jeff, first thing in the morning. Turned it out it was something was wrong with a capacitor and Jeff had us up and running within an hour. Jeff was very professional, thorough and took time to explain each step he was taking as well as any potential associated charges. He identified a potential leak and is investigating whether it is covered under warranty.

It went really well. The technician Ben showed up on time and covered his shoes before entering the house. That was nice but unnecessary because it has rained so much, I've been tracking leaves, dirt and debris every time I went out and in I kept a sweeper handy by the door way. Ben thought the most likely place of the leak would be in the coils of the inside closet unit. It didn't take him very long to find a leak in two different places in the coils. Ben and Efficient A/C were able to locate replacement coils and install it the same day. That was sure nice. My A/C has been up and running ever since. They captured what refrigerant I had in the system and reused it after installing the coils. When the rains go away and the temperatures get hot again I'll call them back out to check the refrigerant levels. Ben made straight forward recommendations, no up selling, upgrading or extra's while I had my A/C apart. I'll use them again.

Robert Whitaker was very knowledgeable, friendly and fair. He came out at 10pm on a Friday night and again on Saturday morning. I couldn't have asked for a better HVAC technician. He is the utmost professional and great to deal with. On top of that he is also an Army veteran.

We had procured estimates from a number of companies and, upon reviewing all of them, the decision was made to go with EFFICIENT. We are satisfied that we chose the best.
