Description of Work: The ballasts in the Laundry Room and in the Kitchen Overhead Flourescent Light fixtures along with (2) outside patio fixtures were replaced. Mr. Duhon answered my inquiries promptly by voicemail and email, I was able to get an appointment in a very resonable timeframe, completed work quickly, charged $95/hr I believe and gave me estimates on 'what if ' scenarios to help me decide on some future work. I am currently using him for a repair in a rental property I own.

Description of Work: At 11 am on Friday, 10 May 2013, I sent an email to Duhan Electric about a track light problem over our kitchen island. William, the owner, called and left me a message to call him at 1:30 pm. I called him at 4:10 pm upon returning home on Friday afternoon. We discussed my track light problem in great detail. He asked some questions and gave me some suggestions to try. I tried his suggestion and it worked. I called him back at 4:30 pm and thanked him. I offered to pay him and he refused saying that if I had a need in the future to call him. I will definitely call him in the future. He was very professional and had a positive attitude. I highly recommend him.

Description of Work: When I returned home after a dtor's appt. (about 12:30 p.m.), I could not open my garage doors and discovered that not only was my electricity not working, I had no electric meter!! A pink slip was attached to my mailbox that told me my meter had to be removed due to damage and burned apparatus. I called the utility company and the inspector came to show me the problem. I was then told to call an electrician as I would have to pay to have a new meter box installed and hooked up properly. I could not get to Angie's list (as I had no electricity). My cell phone came to my rescue as I had to search for electricians using it. Service Magic hooked me up to Duhon Electric (I recognized the name from a previous search on Angie's list). Mr. Duhon was on a job but promised to be at my house around 3:00 p.m. I had to get my electricity back on that day as I had a small dog inside (that could not be taken to a motel, and a freezer and refrigerator filled with food. While waiting for Mr. Duhon, I called the utility company (Austin Energy) again and was connected with their emergency service department. A very kind lady there walked me through the process of getting my electricity turned on again - and it was lengthy ( a permit had to be issued, an inspector had to inspect the repair work and when approved, a service person from the utility department had to turn on the electricity. Time was not my friend as the inspectors finish their work day at 3:30 p.m. I did get inspector names and phone numbers and was s told that "after hours inspections cost $200; a permit was $50. When Mr Duhon arrived about 2:45 p.m., he got right on it. The inspector came and the work progressed. To make a long story short, I had electricity turned on about 4:45 p.m. Mr. Duhon charged me $625, which included the $250 for inspector and permit, and accepted a charge card. I am very impressed with his service and will definitely call him again.

Description of Work: The gentleman came promptly, addressed the issue of a damaged fuse outside in our fuse box, and replaced a fuse at no charge. I insisted that he send me a bill, but he said that wouldn't be necessary. Wow!
