DTR CONTRACTING

I contacted Darrell Rivera to get an estimate for raising the ceiling in my kitchen. He opened up the ceiling, quoted me a price, stated that he could raise the ceiling 12 inches and then stated that his quote was firm and wouldn't include any extra costs. Mr. Rivera also stated that the job would take 5 days. During the course of the work, Mr. Rivera repeatedly did not show up when he said he would and he performed work that cost an extra $1400 that turned out to be unnecessary. He also had several instances when it was clear that he was not sure what to do, but instead of consulting with experts he just fudged his way through. He did not clean up his work site well and killed some of the grass on the lawn. The job ended up being 65 days, and I could not use my kitchen for at least half of those. When I asked for a discount for length of time and for shoddy work, he was at first unwilling to offer any. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY! He has probably changed the company name.
