Terrific job. Dan promised us the mulch would not wash away. We had some downpours and he was right. The mulch is staying put and no more muddy paws running into the house! We also use Drake Landsacpe to trim all our trees. They are well trained and do a fantastic job.

I was pleased to be able to contact Mr. Drake via e-mail. He came by to check out the size of my lawn and we agreed on a first time fee (my grass was rather long) of $45.00, followed by an every-two-weeks maintenance cut and edging @$35.00/visit. This is slightly more than another company charges for similar services at a relative's home in east Austin, but I figured in N. Austin, everything costs a little more!

Two guys cleared out the patio, removed the debris and laid the river rock in 1 1/2 hours. Excellent!

I called Dan a month ago and requested that give me a quote to top treat and aerate my lawn. He said he would be by in a few days to see my lawn. A week went by and I had no contact, so I called him again. He apologized for not dropping by - said he was busy and would be by in the next few days. I told him if he was too busy, that I could look for someone else. He assured me even though he was busy that he would be able to do it. I've not heard anything from him since that conversation. I understand that if you are good at what you do, you get busy - but have the professionalism to do what you say.

We were having family come visit, and Dan responded speedily to my service request. They got the job done quickly, and the place looked great. We were very pleased. I called him a few months later to see if he could do some landscaping for us, but he was having some trouble getting enough labor so couldn't do it. We were sorry we couldn't work with him again, and would highly recommend him.

Dan knows his business. He is knowledgeable about all aspects of landscaping, and willing to take the time to understand the customer's needs and discuss options. I am especially impressed by Dan's knowledge of plants and his ability to recommend the right plant for a given location. Dan's crew go about their work efficiently; there's no standing around at the customer's expense. Needless to say, I am very pleased to have discovered Dan Drake, and will be calling on him often in the future.

The overall experience was a good one. Half the backyard was overgrown after a couple of years of neglect. There were numerous hackberry trees, unwanted English ivy, and other plants. They cleared it all out, raked the soil smooth, and hauled away the debris. My first telephone call was not returned, but subsequent uses of the paging service resulted in very quick call backs. We agreed on a time, and they were prompt. I appreciated that Mr. Drake reviewed the work to be done, and he offered to pull out the stumps in the side yard for an additional charge. The work took several hours, and I was pleased that they raked the area smooth when they were finished. The final bill was higher than the original estimate due to the additional agreed-to stump removal plus a fuel surcharge. I would use them again.

Top notch responsiveness to a recent irrigation leak - Dan called an irrigation guy, and that person, also very professional, wove our problem into his next day's schedule to come out of his way to help out. Couldn't be happier with this level of customer service.

They are very professional, they do a great job. They will do extra work, if we ask they will find time to help. I would recommend and use them again.

Overall everything is good. They do a great job with the mowing and are good about cleaning up after themselves.

I joined Angie's List solely for this job and have managed to use your referral system on two other jobs. Once I joined Angie's, this was my first stop to find a landscape company that would actually follow through. I decided on Drakes since they were within 5 miles of my home and the responses from recent jobs were very positive. Drakes Landscape blew me away with returning my calls, keeping me informed of the price and the choices on plants, although I had no idea what 1/2 of it was. I trusted his decision since we spent a lot of time talking about the look I wanted for my backyard. His crew was professional and the work that was done was phenomenal. My backyard is truly beautiful with banana trees, palms, a crepe myrtle and much much more so when I learned that he also trims trees was just icing on the cake.

I'm using this company on a regular basis and will continue to do so in the future.

Drake Landscape does an excellent job. I have a very steep lawn in the back and they seem to do it with no trouble and I am pleased with that. I have used them for years and I have always been happy with them and their work. I use them every so often for fertilizer too. They do great work and everyone in the neighborhood uses them, also.

Very well. The estimate was reasonable. We plan on getting more extensive work done when budget allows.

Drake was responsive in returning our calls and coming out for an estimate. Even though he was booked up, he squeezed us in so we could have a respectable-looking lawn for weekend guests. We are so pleased with their work that we're planning to talk with Drake about helping us with some landscaping work we'd like to do.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Our rental home needed a good mowing/edging plus had a side yard that was extremely overgrown. I left Drake Landscape a message requesting a quote with the address. In less than 24 hours, they inspected the yard and called back with a quote. They fit us in that week (even with the rain). Quote was more than reasonable with the overgrown side yard. Dan Drake was extremely pleasant to deal with. The work was flawless. Their services left the property looking like a model home, plus they hauled away all the leaf bags. Thanks Dan! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! WILL USE AGAIN!!!

I called Drake on Tuesday morning of a short holiday week looking for lawn work to be completed by the end of the week as I had guests arriving for the weekend. They promptly returned my call, stopped by my home to provide an estimate, gave recommendations on the work to be done and even sent a crew out to complete the work with a day to spare. They were quick efficient and did a nice job with our yard meeting our requested deadlines. We were pleased and have asked them to return on a bi-weekly basis to do ongoing upkeep.

He took a couple of days to return my call, but apologized & said that they were real busy with planting this time of year. Once he called the work was scheduled & done within a few hours. It looked good.

Drake Landscape does a thorough job. They have people who know what they are doing and work together to get the job done. They have two mowing people and two edging people so the front and back yards are done quickly and efficiently. They have done our yard 3 times now.

Ben Drake is enterprising, hard working, and very personable. I have been employing his services for nine years, and he has done a fantastic job the whole time. If there is any reason he cannot make it, I am contacted and informed with a good reason. He is dependable and takes pride in doing the best job possible. I do not foresee any reason for hiring someone new.

They were very efficient and they sent out 3 guys that did a really good job. They were hard working and I liked that they used an air blower to clean our driveway and patio. It turned out really nice. They had a really good service and tried really hard to please us.
