+ 0 moreThe project was stopped by the county because no permit was obtained by the contractor. When pursuing answers to questions about the structure, an independent assessor found 52 code violations. The contractor received $70,000.00, did not complete the job and did not return funds that were not used. I also discovered that the contractor was not able to read blue prints. Two windows were installed at a height of 6' above the floor when the blueprints called for an elevation of 4'.
Description of Work: He was contracted to build a single bedroom residence on pier and beams for $85,000. The price was to cover all required permits and complete the job so that it could be lived in at the end of the project.
