Diehr Masonry

Went well. Clayton worked around some cold weather during the process.

Clayton's team did some rock columns on our patio late last year and we asked him back to do an outdoor kitchen. His stonemason did a great job and Clayton himself came by the house several time to check on things, seal the front doors when the masonry was dry, and make sure everything went well. We will definitely use him again!

The work was done in a professional manner and I was pleased with the results. Price was more than fair.

Clayton and company did a small retaining wall for us (2 small walls actually). Clayton charged in range that I expected. My wife who is very picky said she would hire again which is the litmus test.

The work was done promptly in one morning. The quality of the work was pretty good. A handyman might have done it cheaper, but for professional company the price was OK. I would recommend.

Clayton sent Charles, who is a true artisan to do the work on our rock columns. I knew the patio would look better with rock columns, but I had no idea it would look THAT great! Charles' work was superb and we want him back to do the rock work on our BBQ enclosure soon. BTW, I don't know why this site keeps rotating the photo I've attached, but you can get an idea of the quality of work anyway.

The work was excellent. We are very happy with the whole project. It was the second time we had hired them.

The work itself only took a couple of days total over a week or so timeframe. The weather was bad, rainy and cold so this delayed the progress in between the days. We were very pleased with the quality of the work. Very neat, and matched well. All debris was cleaned up and taken away. The mason and his assistant were friendly and polite. We had gotten several estimates and theirs was the most reasonable. The only thing I would mention is that we were not sure when the work would be completed because of the weather delays. A phone call about the work schedule would have been appreciated a little sooner, but this was not a big problem and the work was finished satisfactorily. We would use Diehr masonry again and recommend them.

I called Clayton about resetting the limestone into the wall. He was very responsive and also said that it should be a straightforward job and was close to where he was coming from. He performed the service at no charge and also took the time to explain what might have caused the piece to come off. I would definitely call him back if/when I need something bigger!

Clayton Diehr listened to what I envisioned. He stayed in touch with me all along the projects. The workers he sent were punctual and very knowledgeable about their profession. The job was cleaned up daily and the job was completed exceeding my expectations! I have used this company twice and highly recommend! I was never asked for any money until the job was completed to my satisfaction. The price was very fair for the projects I requested and never changed from the original proposal. I would love to show anyone what was done along with before and after pictures. Clayton Diehr's company has got the highest level of respect of any of the contractors I have worked with.

Very poorly. Owner repeatedly came to home without permission. Cracked tiles were replaced with unmatching cracked tiles. The price was increased by 1/3 midway through the job to correct the mason's error of installing unmatching tiles. When he was asked not to perform work without prior approval he returned and did additional work that was unacceptable. All of the work needs to be ripped out and redone. The grout between the cracked tiles is all falling out. Very poor work. I have asked the mason to resolve this issue and perform the work promised. This has not happened. I did receive a voicemail indicating that "first lien has been processed". I have a complaint with the State.

It went great - he came out the next day after I e-mailed him, gave me an offer, and came after the weekend and did such a good job that you can't tell the area was ever replaced.

You have to schedule out in advance for Diehr Masonry. Most good contractors have a wait time. Once we got on the schedule, the work was completed in two days at a price for less than what we had budgeted for. VERY pleased. I would highly recommend Clayton Diehr and his business.

The services where performed above my expectations. The motar matches perfectly with the original color and the repair work is hardly noticeable. Mr. Diehr was very respectful and flexible to work with. My mother-in-law was home to oversee the repair work. She stated that Mr. Diehr treated her with kindness and respect through out the entire process and was very forthcoming about any work that was to be performed. He show flexibility to the last-minuet added work and performed expertly and professionally. The only reason they did not receive all A's is a little miscommunication failure along the way. I was supposed to be notified of the time the work was to be performed and never was. However, for my circumstance, I had someone home all day so it worked out. Again, you cannot find people with this level of professionalism, superior work and honesty in the area like this.

This whole experience went extremely well. Clayton was punctual and professional. I was impressed with how clean he kept the work area between visits (this job created a lot of dust), and his skill at mixing mortar to blend with the existing brick work.

They were amazing. Clayton and the crew called me back immediately--very responsive. Honored their original bid from a few months prior.

Clayton did a super job of extending the size of an existing planter/flower bed wall which had been damaged by the roots of a very aggressive growing tree in my front yard. He also secured several other loose stones in another flower bed wall. Very professional and timely. I highly recommend his services.

.I was out of town when the work was done and I came home to a beautiful new mailbox. I would hire him again for any stone work I needed. The site is perfectly cleaned up, and the mailbox is the best looking in the neighborhood, in fact, its better looking than the old one.

First, I have contacted at least 5 time to schedule the first walk through BTW, I didn't get chance to meet the service guy ever. Since the quote price is fair, we scheduled the date to fix the cracker. But I said couple of times, please give me a call before you come, I want to discuss about the fix. The service guy just ignored and came to service without telling me. And later, just send a bill. I have to say the job is good I don't think this is the right way to do the business. I am almost sure the service guy is the owner, but he didn't show Professionalism to his busniess

I was very impressed with Diehr Masonry because they showed up on time and did a great job repairing my container walls around the house. They had to completely remove on section of the wall and rebuild it. Their work was excellent and they cleaned up everything before they left. I would highly recommend this business to because their work ethic is excellent and the quality of work is also excellent! I noticed one other section of the wall that needed to be repaired and it was not included in the original bid. I asked if they would repair it the same day and they did! They had a great attitude and did a great job. So, all of my container walls look great again and are in good repair! I could not be happier. So, a big "THANK YOU" to Diehr Masonry!

Came to look at the job and provided quote but never showed up to do the work even after two attempts to get him to reschedule.

They finished the work at most in half a day. They left the area clean.

Meeting at first was frustrating. Twice we had an appointment and as the day got late I called and Clayton had been held up someplace. I would have appreciated a call earlier. But when he did set a date he came by and it was completed while I was at work. Excellent work and I believe he secured the clean out door for no extra charge.

Overall, I was pleased with my experience. Clayton does good work and his prices are very reasonable. Two hiccups in the process: 1) He missed the initial estimate appointment, requiring that I call him up and ask where he was. He immediately drove over and made the appointment, albeit an hour late. 2) He did not initially complete the project as per the estimate. Specifically, he didn't repair the entire stair step crack in brick mortar, nor the entire concrete repair along foundation. A quick call, and it was remedied in a couple days. Neither hiccup was intentional, just an oversight. Neither was a burden or inconvenience. Clayton is a super nice guy, and pretty laid back. His intentions are great, work great, prices great, but execution falls a little short. I'd use him again!
