+ -1 moreAs poor as possible. It was returned without repair and with a repair checklist unchecked. The Dell tech on the phone and I determined that no repairman actually saw it -- it was unpacked, repacked, and shipped back without any technician even touching it.
Description of Work: Warranty repair -- we diagnosed a dead motherboard and Dell sent us the box to ship it back for service.

+ -1 moreSO MANY TIMES I'VE BEEN GLAD I PAID THE EXTRA PRICE OF THIS SERVICE. I HEAR FRIENDS TALKING OF NIGHTMARES TRYING TO GET HELP FIXING THEIR COMPUTERS. AND I HAVE NOT EXPERIENCED THAT; ONLY QUICK, RELIABLE SERVICE.
Description of Work: PRICE WAS FOR A 4 YEAR ACCIDENTAL DAMAGE PROTECTION WARRANTY AND EXPRESS TECHNICAL SUPPORT. THE SERVICE INCLUDES VIRUS AND SECURITY PATCH PROTECTION. I HAVE NOT HAD A SINGLE VIRUS ON THE COMPUTER. SEVERAL TIMES, I'VE HAD PROBLEMS WITH THE COMPUTER, USUALLY LOADING AND CONFIGURING NEW SOFTWARE. EACH TIME WHEN I CALLED THE EXPRESS TECH SUPPORT, I GOT VERY QUICK AND FRIENDLY SERVICE.

+ -1 moreTHE HELP / SERVICE IS GOOD HOWEVER, I HAVE TO WAIT FOR LONG PERIODS OF TIME TO TALK TO A PERSON. SOMETIMES I CANNOT UNDERSTAND THE PERSON'S ENGLISH BECAUSE THEY SEEM TO BE LOCATED IN INDIA AND SPEAK WITH AN ACCENT.
Description of Work: WHENEVER I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH MY COMPUTER I HAVE A TOLL FREE NUMBER TO CALL TO REACH A TECH PERSON TO WALK ME THROUGH MY PROBLEMS.

+ -1 moreWE HAD A DIFFICULT TIME TRYING TO GET THE LAPTOP COMPUTER HOOKED UP TO THE WIRELESS INTERNET CARD. AFTER SEVERAL PHONE CALLS AND ATTEMPTS TO GET IT WORKING THE COMPANY AGREED TO TAKE IT BACK AT THEIR EXPENSE.
Description of Work: WE PURCHASED A LAPTOP COMPUTER OVER THE PHONE AND HAD THEM SEND IT TO US VIA SPECIAL DELIVERY.
