The computer arrived without the promised hardware for the second hard drive. When I contacted the salesman via email, I sent him our written correspondence in which he stated that I would receive this. He "didn't know what I was talking about" and became very difficult to get an answer from. During the purchase process I had the impression that he may have been new to his job or perhaps unconcerned. This attitude escalated when I confronted him with my problem. After repeated emails back and forth with no progress, I emailed his supervisor (address was obtained during purchase discussions). This man was out of the office for an extended period and I was given the name of another "supervisor" to contact. She called me after receiving my complaint (copy of written confirmation of hardware inclusion included) and told me that they would not send me the requested material and that Dell has had "large corporations requesting this and would not give it to them and certainly would not send it to me". I can only obtain this mounting material if I purchase the hard drive from Dell (they do not offer what I want). This "supervisor" would not discuss the written statements of the salesman and would not stand behind their promise. She was completely unconcerned about my situation and the financial and time loss Dell had caused for me.
Description of Work: I ordered a dell laptop computer, working with a salesperson at Dell over the phone, along with Dell.com. I needed a specific configuration which they did not offer, and was planning to add an additional hard drive after purchase. The salesman was aware of my intention and our local computer technician even called Dell to confirm the consequences to our Dell warranty (none - they just wouldn't cover added hard drive). I told the salesman (via email) that in order to purchase the laptop I needed confirmation that the hardware needed to mount the second hard drive (2 screws and a cable) would be included with the new laptop. He assured me IN WRITING via email that this would be the case.

I was very satisfied with them, it took them about hour and half to do it, and I have had no problems since. They said it was just a bad board. They came to the house to fix it. They were both professional and courteous. I would recommend that people do business with them. There was no charge for the service because it was under warranty.
Description of Work: They put a new mother board in my computer. They told me that it is the part that controls the computer.
