I had purchased a 2 hour electrical service Groupon from Decker in anticipation of a complete home remodel. I wanted to use the Groupon on several occasions and Reed, the owner, kept on suggesting we use it for something else. And finally, several months later, had a small enough job to use the Groupon and Reed NOW said that they dont accept Groupon any longer. So basically, he stole $200 from us. I had a used Decker for 10 years, so its not like we didnt have a working relationship. Will Never use again. Not an Honest Company. They will rob you if you give them the chance. Don't Ever USE. Doesn't care about the customer just wants to make a buck.

Overall we were happy with the service. Please note the $210 deal is more of a prepayment than a 25% discount. When the work was complete, a $30 trip charge was added to the total bill and the $210 I had previously paid was applied to the full billing rate.

Had to call since I bought a special and only had one response but no confirmation of the date. That was quickly fixed with a phone call and they came the next day! The two men on the crew were punctual, polite and cleaned up nicely after the work was done. Everything went smoothly and I am having them return to do some outdoor work.

The jobs were more expensive than expected or estimated. The electrical panel replacement was $1200 more than estimated and while we were told that it would be more expensive than estimated, we were not told how much or given a new written estimate. Decker left loose, uncapped wires hanging and a hole in our siding. When we complained about the unexpected high price, he offered to cover the cost of the siding repair. Decker said that the job was more expensive than estimated because the electric company wanted it to be relocated. However, in its new position it is close to a large tree than before. One of the GFI was not properly attached to the wall and one was crooked. These defects were remedied on a second visit. The GFIs cost $600.

The electrician was easy to work with and very nice. We had previously cleared up all the communication issues, so we were pleased with the service this time.

I had Decker Electric over to install my new 6 foot chandelier to my 22 feet ceiling.It was a daunting job yet the crew worked so professionally and efficiently. We are so satisfied with their work and very reasonable price. I am absolutely happy with them and will have their service in the future. Thank you Decker Electric!

We have a fluorescent light in our garage that wasn't working even after changing out the lightbulbs. We called Decker and they said they could come out in the afternoon. He called around 2:30 and said they needed to eat so they didn't get to our house until 4pm (long lunch I guess). They then proceeded to change one part in the light fixture that took all of 5 minutes and hand us a bill for $250!!!!! $38 for the part, $150 for his hourly rate (not pro-rated for the whopping 5 minutes the project took) and then another $40 hourly rate for his assistant. I had to pay a guy $40 to hold the ladder? And, to top it off, he charged us a $30 trip fee. It almost laughable at how ridiculous his bill was. Would definitely not recommend Decker unless you want to waste a TON of money.

Communication was a bit problematic at first since he didn't read my message in response to his message on Angie's List about date and time. A phone call by me solved that. The workers showed up on the date expected and did a very good job. I was floored with the bill, however, as one of the rooms was listed as double what I expected and no one mentioned that it took longer or had any problems. Another phone call directly to the owner solved that problem, however, and I was satisfied with the results.

Reid E. Holm of Decker Electric arrived at 8 am as expected and was ready to go to work. And when I showed him my hand-drawn sketch of which breakers handled each outlet, he didn't even laugh at the less than amateur drawing! He ran a couple of checks and determined that the circuit breaker was bad. He had one in his truck and installed it. We checked the various lights and appliances and all were working fine. Now I can cook and even see the kitchen and other rooms that were dark before he got here. Reid is a real pro who will get my business and recommendations to my friends any day or night of the week. Everything went great. My service technicians, Kip & Joseph, were running late and Reid called to give me a time estimate well before the time they were due to arrive. They arrived well before the estimate. They were courteous and cleaned up after themselves. Kip let me know he might have to make a bigger whole in the wall than I would expect and I would be responsible for the repair. I appreciated him letting me know this so I could make a decision about the outlet. I told him he could proceed. He installed the outlet (for a bidet toilet seat) in a place that is not noticeable and did not have to put a hole in the wall. I will call them back for my future electrical work. I used a $15 Angie's List coupon and they did not have to work around a toilet as we had removed it to have a new one installed the next day.

I have used him several times. I keep calling him back and I like them. I like the owner, their responsiveness, pricing and customer service. I call them all the time; they are my go-to electrical guys. My last service was free because they came to check something and the reason was my fault so they did not even charge me for a visit. They paid a courtesy visit and did not even charge me. The time before that they came to fix outdoor electrical outlets and they did a good job. They quoted a price and charged me the price that they quoted; everything was good. On that particular job their responsiveness was good. I always go to Decker Electric.

He came out same day and fixed the issue and checked the status of the breaker box. He even offered a discount. They were great.

He is very nice to work with. He is polite and professional. He gives us an approximate time that he will be out and then gives us a courteous call before he comes out.

It made it very convenient and safe. His service helped make my life a lot easier. He was real neat and clean. He offered extra service that was affordable and something that I really wanted.

They were very slow to respond, and seemed only interested in getting larger ticket work so they were not wanting to do what was asked. I Don't remember date of last contact with these people.

I have no way of rating this company as they never contacted me after I tried to contact them twice.

The job went well. Reid and his crew are dependable, responsive, completely trustworthy, and get the job finished in a courteous manner. Our job involved some relatively complex work, and Reid's team completed it all safely and accurately. They are also friendly, and I trusted leaving them in our home while we were at work. The job took several days to complete, and the Decker guys would let themselves in and lock up when they left without incident. We have additional light fixtures to hang so once those have been acquired, I'll definitely be giving Decker Electric a call.

The electrician kept calling to reschedule the appointment. We finally asked for a 9:00 AM apt. so he would not be held up by his present job. We had purchased a $190 for two hours labor deal from Angie's list. The electrician finally came by to look at the job and told us he thought he could do the job in two hours. He informed us that the parts would be extra if not covered by the $190. Three men came to do the job and they charged us for the extra men. We were never informed that we would be charged $400 more than we had already paid. The parts were about $176. While the work was excellent and the men were very professional, we were extremely disappointed that they did not tell us the total before beginning the work.

Perfect. Some construction errors (by the builder) were causing problems which Reid easily diagnosed and repaired. decker is consistently great to work with and I will continue to use the company.

Decker responded quickly to our call. Was at the house first thing next morning (I called in the afternoon). Excellent communication, letting me know when they would be there. First troubleshooted the problem, made temporary fix so as to minimize the inconvenience, then came back to replace the whole fuse panel guts which were broken and unreliable. Explained what they did and why. Prices were reasonable for service rendered. Followed up next day with a phone call to make sure everything was working fine.
