I called and got a really timely appointment.Aaron arrived on time and conducted the inspection within the timeframe he had given me.The inspection was very through and allowed me to fix a number of things I wasn't aware of before putting my house on the market.The report was emailed to me the evening of the same day. Remarkable!

It went well. Aaron is very nice and professional. He was great working with a toddler and a big dog at his heels. He found a few things that could be a disaster if we don't get them repaired before the next big storm. He also was great about taking the time to explain what was going on and what building codes said about those things. I felt much better informed and educated after his inspection.

I am a first time home buyer and I needed to have my future home inspected quickly so that it fell within the option period. I called Aaron and he was able to schedule me very quickly. Aaron was extremely professional and very thorough. Aaron has the added experience of working in construction and it showed. He checked everything, including every outlet in the entire place, the wiring, the roof, the AC/Heating system, and every appliance. I met him at the end of the inspection and he walked me through the entire property going over the things that were in working order and those that weren't. He explained to me what he looked at and why, the concerns, the repairs, and how difficult these things were to repair. Within a few hours he sent me a full report with pictures and explanations. I would and will recommend DBL Check to my friends and colleagues who need a home inspection.

Our experience with DBL Check was outstanding. Aaron was extremely professional, responsive, timely and thorough - from the time I called him to inquire about his services to delivering the report. He spent 20 minutes with me on the phone discussing his services, what tools he used and what he would be providing me at the end of the inspection. I was able to get an appointment to accommodate my schedule and he was very prompt arriving to the appointment. Aaron was extremely thorough in his inspection spending approximately 4 hours inspecting a 2800 square foot home. He would provide updates throughout his inspection and then afterwards, sat down with us, reviewed numerous pictures that he took and pointed out the deficiencies that he found. That same night, he emailed us the extremely detailed and comprehensive report which was surprisingly easy to understand. Our realtor, who was also there at the time of the inspection, was extremely impressed and has added Aaron to his list of recommended inspectors. Checking an "A" in every category does not do this service justice. Aaron was the ultimate professional, providing exactly what I had requested in a professional and detailed report. He was completely thorough and left me with a total comfort level as to what needed to be done to bring my house up to standards. We are first time homeowners, and are very fortunate to have had Aaron as our home inspector. He was thorough, patient, full of information, and used modern tools such as thermal imagers and compulevel tools to help get the most accurate diagnosis and details that may not be otherwise apparent. He conducted his inspection meticulously and professionally. He was very approachable when we asked him a variety of questions regarding the house, and even volunteered to teach us some of the inner workings of the house. He found some important issues and inefficiencies with the house that needed repair, and offered to explain the complex issues to the seller/agent for us. He even did all this while suffering from a cold. The inspection was done early in the morning, and we got a detailed, thorough electronic report with clean, detailed photos later on the same day. Overall, Aaron's inspection and report made us feel more at ease and confident with the house we're buying, which is absolutely priceless. One word to describe my experience with Aaron: Outstanding! I am a first time home buyer, but I have dealt with inspectors when I worked in construction a few years ago. I hired Aaron to inspect the home I am buying, and I am very impressed. Aaron arrived on time, and he was already scoping the place when I met him at the house. Aaron is a consummate professional- Friendly, great people skills, courteous, has an eye for detail, and he presents and relays the information as an inspector should- simply and clearly. Right from the start to the end, Aaron has been a complete pleasure to work with. He has the motivation, knowledge, and the modern equipment needed to conduct a complete inspection and he supplies a complete and concise report at the end with pictures. I look forward to having him scope my house every couple of years in the future- he is an asset to the Austin home buying market, as well as to homeowners across Austin and the surrounding areas. When Aaron inspected my home, he took his time to carefully inspect everything. He was very systematic in his inspection. Aaron physically went on my roof and checked the roof singles and took pictures. He went inside of my attic, checked my hvac system, insulation, under roof condition, and took several pictures, and he caught things that I might have overlooked myself. He looked behind and under things whenever possible. He put his hands on things, and was very interactive with my home. He went into the crawl space on a very hot day, he took his time, and took several pictures of my pier and beam structure. He looked carefully at my plumbing underneath the house. Around the house, he caught flaws in my siding of the house, windows, exterior doors, and documented them all. He even caught the fact that my deadbolts were on backwards, and pointed out that it would be dangerous if I had to leave the house in an hurry, as we naturally turn it to the left to unlock. Most inspectors in my experience don't really pay attention to that. They usually only care if they work. But Aaron was concerned about it being backwards, which is more than a legitimate concern. In the interior, he got on his knees and on his back on the floor to look at my plumbing under all sinks, cabinets, and fixtures. Aaron was not afraid to get dirty at all whatsoever. He did what he was supposed to do, and he even went beyond that. He was at my house for 3 hours, and it was a really small 832 sqft house. He has a very calming relaxed personality, and he is very detail oriented. He drives a truck that is clearly labeled "Aaron Double Check", and he has his own shirt- very professional and neat. He also has all the certification and equipment necessary to do a thorough and proper inspection. I highly recommend and encourage him to homeowners all across Austin and the surrounding areas. If there was a higher grade than A+ I would give him that.

Even though I had my home inspected before move-in several years ago, I wanted to learn more about it's weak spots in order to make improvements. Aaron Calhoun's home inspection service was exactly what I needed. In addition to his examining the house and writing a detailed report, he also took digital photos and infrared scans which he provided as a side-by-side comparison list. This latter part of the inspection report was immeasurably helpful. To have visual representations of where and to what degree my air-conditioning escapes has made my home improvement plans a veritable paint-by-numbers undertaking. Sadly, I also learned what a disaster and potential danger my water heater unit had become. Yikes! I would highly recommend Mr. Calhoun to anyone seeking a professional, thorough home inspection. He was punctual, knowledgable, personable, and entirely willing to answer all my questions, stupid or otherwise. Another bonus is that I received my comprehensive report by email a matter of hours after the inspection was complete. I still find myself referring back to it as I tackle my repairs one by one.
