Ernest was recommended to us by our kitchen remodel company to install our new appliances. It quickly became apparent that he had never installed Miele appliances before. While he might be fine for more common appliances, he had no clue how to do the installation properly for these German-made appliances and tried to follow the schematics supplied. He reinstalled the dishwasher with the door extending two inches beyond the granite counter top and insisted to me that it was supposed to be that way. Considering that I had this dishwasher installed before, I knew better. But he "had 40 years of experience" and tried to talk me down. After my husband and I saw that he couldn't get the trim kit around the micro/convection oven to fit, we looked over the schematics after he left for the day. It was clear even to us that the brackets were installed backwards. We called all his contact numbers to terminate the work the next morning, but still he showed up and started work on the hood installation while I was running an errand. Again he argued about his experience when my husband asked him to stop work. We paid his asking price for the appliances he had "installed," none complete. Two days later another installer we contacted independently came and stared with open mouth at the speed oven, saying "what did he do????" Turns out Ernest deliberately bent out tabs never meant to bend and installed the brackets reversed, so that he had to force the oven into the too narrow opening, thus bending even more of the brackets. Not surprisingly, the trim pieces would not mount, so the next day he abandoned it and moved on to a different project! The experienced installer had to forcibly remove the oven, then flatten the bent tabs and reverse the brackets. Even so, it took him 15 minutes to repair and complete the installation of the speed oven, as opposed to the hour at least that Ernest pored over the project with his coworker. We were lucky to stop the installations when we did, before needing to purchase a replacement trim kit, or worse, potentially having irreversible damage to an improperly installed appliance that might void the warranty. Please, if you need an installer, contact another company. Update: The disposal and dishwasher drainage lines were not installed properly, and we had a later leak. Apparently one of the disposal mounting screws was difficult to reach, so he just left it off!
Description of Work: Ernest was recommended to us by our kitchen remodel company to install our new appliances. The scope of the job was to reinstall a dishwasher and install new disposal, single wall oven, speed (micro/convection combo) oven, gas cooktop, and ventilation hood. None of the appliances were installed to completion.

Mr Quiroz removed all the old appliances to my garage, so that I could sell them at a later date. None of them were damaged in the removal, although it does seem that a few parts to the stovetop have gotten misplaced. I'm not sure whose fault that may have been; although I have looked everywhere and have been unable to find them, Mr Quiroz has offered to help me replace them from salvaged appliances so that the stove can be sold for a reasonable price. The dishwasher was not complicated to install, and went very smoothly. The gas range was a bit more complicated, as my new range, having a convection oven, required the gas line to be modified to fit the smaller space between the range and the wall as compared to the old range. The microwave/vent hood was the most complicated, due to my desire to have the vent hood blow to the outside of the house rather than just recycle as my old hood had done. Mr Quiroz cut a hole in the wall behind the microwave, then installed the duct and the new appliance. All the appliances were installed very neatly and professionally, and I am very pleased with Mr Quiroz's work. Everything is working very well.
Description of Work: This was not actually appliance repair, but I could not find a category for appliance installation. Mr. Quiroz was recommended to me through another company in connection with a kitchen remodel, to install the new appliances I purchased through an appliance retailer. He installed my new range and dishwasher, as well as a microwave/vent hood which required substantially more labor than the other two appliances. No estimate was provided at the beginning of the job, but I was told that Mr Quiroz charged reasonable rates and did high-quality work.
