Description of Work: Once bid was negotiated and finalized they started working promptly. I was a little worried at first because the price was higher than the other bids but they had received such great Angie reviews I decided to go with them. I am so glad I did. I was so impressed with their professionalism and their focus to detail. The backyard remodel with new deck, new landscaping and grill was fabulous. I love it. In addition they added a new rockscape which corrected some water issues I was having. Definitely would use them again.

Description of Work: This is my story: 1. Sent email for initial communication (April 23), didn't get a reply. 2. Sent a new email directly to David (April 27). 3. Got an email from David (April 29), scheduled the appointment for a Monday May 6 from 10 to 12. 4. Appointment date arrived (May 6), I took off work to be present during the tune-up of the sprinkler system. Close to 12 I called to see if they were still coming. Got only to their voice mails. Got a call back from David to tell me Jeff had an emergency and it would be impossible to make it. So we schedule a new appointment for May 18 from 10 to 12. 5. Fast forward to May 18, again close to 12 I called them to see if they were coming. David called me back and had Jeff called me back. Jeff was tied with an emergency (again), and he asked if he could come later. I agreed, just asked him to give me a call before he was on his way so I was sure I would be here. Jeff apologized several times and offer the service for free. Also he tried to set up another appointment in case he couldn't make it that day, and I told him that we will only talk about it if he couldn't make it, so please call me if that was the case. Saturday May 18 came and went, and I didn't get the service, or a new phone call. 6. I called yesterday (May 22) David and left a voice mail to see if they will ever come to tune up my sprinkler system. So far I haven't get a phone call back yet. So, how did it go overall? A really bad experience. I read other reviews replies where they justify themselves for being so busy, but making a phone call to a client that they already have scheduled is so simple.

Description of Work: Bought the Angie's List deal for this guy, and can't make an appointment. HE DOES NOT RETURN CALLS OR TEXTS. This is the last time I buy one of the Angie's List Specials and pay for a service before I make an appointment. I have called 3 times and texted 3 times over the last week and I am still waiting for a response.

Description of Work: Good luck in getting a response. I called the cell number list on their web site and left a voicemail requesting an estimate. Five days and still no answer. The cell phone prompted me to leave a text message at the same number. I did as asked, and still no response. I know that if this provider does a rebuttal to this review, they will say it's their busy season. I agree with that, but that is a reason, not an excuse for bad service response. I would like to add that the provider contacted me on the sixth day to apologize and I accepted and appreciated the apology.

+ 3 moreEven though the work did not take place due to my own personal circumstances, I know David would have been a pleasure to work with.
Description of Work: My project never progressed, so I did not actually use David Landscape Group. However, I did contact David and he made a visit to my house to survey my yard/patio. My project was to extend my current patio with pavers and add a pergola. However, a new baby changed those plans. I wanted to post this becasue I thought David was extrememly professiional, prompt, and knowledgeable on all aspects of my request. If I can move forward on this project in the future, I would definitely give David another call.

+ 1 moreDavid selected beautiful 30 gallon tree specimens from the nursery, along with many smaller shrubs, perennials, soil and mulch and delivered it on the appointed day and time. The crew was on-site on-time to plant and water them. The crew hauled off all the limestone left over after the excavation and left me with a finished project that looks great and which will provide tremendous value in the years to come. The only surprises were good - they did what they said they'd do and did it well.
Description of Work: David installed several large trees and other plants in my front and back yards.

+ 2 moreFirst, let me say that I had never met or known David Ulmer until a month prior to considering these projects. I promptly hired him to get my 30 ft. - 40 ft. trees professionally trimmed. The job was extremely and neatly done. I have always been a 'Do it myself' gardener. Time and injury have put some limitations on what I can accomplish on my own and we all know that 'a woman has to know her limitations.' I decided to request a consultation appointment with David Ulmer for some more work on my yard. David Ulmer is an inspired visionary - honest - practical. He is a coordinator of talent - a team motivator. He is willing to work within a budget yet adaptable to changes. He handles the unexpected with calm, problem-solving determination. The project started as a "clean up and replacement" job. Remove the old wood deck and wood compost bins. I didn't know how I wanted the finished yard to look or what specific materials I wanted to use. I only knew how I wanted the yard to feel. I had some ideas like an irrigation system, a water feature, fountain or urn; a pergola for shade but open to the trees, stars and birds; maybe a fire pit. I wondered if I could afford a pool and I knew I had to keep the shed. David was able to bring in skilled artisans to develop more than one concept to choose from. Once I decided on the concept, David and the team cleared out the old and began to place the new. I was guilty of making some changes during the process that impacted the timeline. I decided to remove the damaged/cracking and undersized concrete patio. That task turned out to be much bigger than any of us expected. However, the ultimate result with the new patio was well worth it. I can't say I have a favorite feature because they all inter-relate in such a way that they draw you in and out and around the yard from the front to the back and out the other side to the front again. I feel I now have a yard and gardens that I can work in! A lush grassy area that is both pet and kid friendly. I have multiple seating areas to enjoy the fountain or the fire or friends around the table, in the sun or the shade. I can even sit out front on my large entry to greet neighbors or just enjoy my garden.
Description of Work: I hired this company to get my large trees professionally trimmed. The job was done neatly. Later I contracted this company to remove an old wood deck and wood compost bins, damaged/cracking and concrete patio. The patio removal task turned out to be much bigger than any of us expected because the concrete was more than 2 feet thick on one end. Install an irrigation system, a water feature, pergola, cedar garbage enclosure on raised pad, paver patio, walkways, block garden boarders, water runoff management system, porcelain tile over concrete front entry. I now have a lush yard and garden beds that I can work in.
