I used the Mark Townsend Team at Cornerstone Home Lending 4516 Seton Parkway, Ste 130, Austin) The team there was extremely professional and went well beyond what I would expect. Due to a series of complications mainly from the Seller's side (un-revealed 3rd party involvement, last minute requests from the underwriter, change in the loan from conventional to VA...) my loan became much more difficult to fund. The team at Cornerstone came through every time and was able to work with the Seller's bank to make my house purchase a much less stressful experience.

Our Realtor referred us to this mortgage company. We were moving from out of state, so the home buying process was a lot more hectic since we didn't already live in Austin. The people at Cornerstone were very good task masters. They always contacted us immediately with next steps once we finished a step. They were always easy to get in contact with. Overall I found the level of help from everyone to be very good. Looking back I think they gave us a slightly higher rate than I think we could have gotten elsewhere. But, since we were rushed during the process with the out of state move, I only shopped around at a few other mortgage companies and Cornerstone's rate was competitive with these companies. Overall as mortgage companies go, Cornerstone was a good experience. The staff was friendly, always willing to answer questions, and very professional.
