Concrete Esthetics

Description of Work: I had scraped up old vinyl flooring that was covering a concrete floor in my breezeway. The concrete still had some glue from the original flooring as well as some paint on it. Ade initially came in and attempted to remove the existing glue from the floor and stain/seal the existing concrete. He said that he was unable to remove the paint and quite a bit of the glue from the floor, so he stained the floor a green color to blend in with the existing paint. The color was awful and the floor still had glue and paint on it, thus it looked like an absolute mess. Ade then offered to fix the job to my satisfaction by adding white concrete overlay over the existing concrete and staining that, which would result in an even and consistent color. After he added the overlay and stained it, the floor looked nice. Ade did not prepare the floor correctly prior to applying the overlay, however, and the overlay began disbonding from the concrete floor within a matter of days. Over the course of the next few weeks, the overlay completely disbonded. Ade then stopped responding to my phone calls/emails and I had to end up hiring another concrete contractor to remove all of the overlay and finish the floor properly.
